Megan, I don’t drink either but my husband and I each use a vintage decanter to hold our mouthwash on our bathroom vanities. So much prettier than a plastic bottle. Love using old beautiful pieces and finding treasures is so much fun.
My grandfather used to take me to auctions when I was a little girl now I'm addicted to it I always see something I can make out of something else

I love Andrew and Eve together. They make me laugh when I watch their interactions because it’s obvious Andrew watches over her to protect her while Eve is always making him laugh behind the scenes.

The programme is The Antique Road show here in the UK, and I loved that first paper cutting in the frame, I am not religious but it was just beautiful. 🌹

Those little mouse figurines... I would use them to create a fairy-mouse garden for my grandbabies to discover and play with in my flower gardens

The Currier & Ives prints were well worth the $18.00 ea. It would probably cost twice that much or more if you had the prints and took them to be framed. They were beautiful.

I understand being frugal but isn't part of the point to find things you love? I really think you should have bought the first 2 Currier and Ives prints! You would have gotten $36 of Joy out of them.

Thrift stores are the best. I always feel like I'm treasure hunting when I walk into a thrift store.

I went to Asheville last week and checked out a couple GWs. I would have loved going to more thrift stores but time ran out. NC is a beautiful state. I am so happy I got to experience the blue mountains.

Goodwill also has specific stores where they sell their better items, especially in large metropolitan areas.

It is so true, Megan, I found my collectibles at a fun store in Champaign, IL. “Friends of a Feather” and have quite a few. Now I shop for them on Amazon🤠❤️

I can’t believe all the selections that you can find at thrift stores in the south compared to the Northeast!
Oh, my goodness. Mike is a wonderful straight man. He cracks me up. I don't collect because I read Clutter's Last Stand at the beginning of my marriage. While those things are adorable, I threw out truckloads of adorable "treasures" from my MIL's house after she died. My children will not have that burden.

I appreciate your love for vintage, well-loved things. I am looking for a Midcentury couch right now, I think I need to follow you all , I mean to walk right behind you, because so very often you find the amazing items.

Hello Andrew the shirt that you are wearing has my maiden name on it. I know that it's the name of a store. But the Kirkland's live in Reliance Tennessee. Most people know Ocoee Tennessee.Ocoee is known for people come to rafting and canoeing.

Oh Mike, the castle is Neuschwanstein, Disney based his theme park castle on Neuschwanstein.
Furniture bought from Good Will, Second Hand Stores etc., are worth buying and recovering. They were made to last and not throw away as is normal in our throw away society.

I volunteer at a thrift store so I get to see the merchandise first before it goes on the shelves and oh, my it is so tempting! Thrift stores are fun!
Currier and Ives was a Philadelphia lithograhpy company. Their early prints were done in black ink and line of Pennsylvania German girls adder watercolor. Later, as chromolithogrrphy came into vogue, They printed the multicolor prints we mostly find today.
Thanks for that information, Jean. I love the Currier & Ives prints, but I never had heard that history before. I was hoping she would get them.

Christmas in July here in New Zealand is called Mid Winter Christmas, i think it`s the same in Aus, and that`s due to our Christmas`s being so so hot we usually have barbecue`s.
Andrew should not be [putting his mouth on musical instruments that probably 50 other kids did - good way to get viruses. I'm a thrifter so enjoy these videos. You definitely have way more stuff, better prices & selection than up here in BC Canada. I collect hand made quilts & do some restoring.

My heart beat up a little faster when I seen the lanterns. I collect them. You never see stuff like that at our local thrift stores.

That unmarked plate with the tiny little flowers reminds me of a Virginia Rose dish.
GW also pulls every Monday those things that were discounted and didnt sell, glass items we were instructed to destroy with great enthusiasm (into a large heavy duty carboard box called a jumbo) and some items were sent to the new GW store in Alaska. If I was tagging racks of clothes and in my own world, that initial glass shatter always scared the jeebies out of me.
Megan, I have a Secretary like that one. Mine has a center door between he 2 pillars above the 3 drawers. The pillars pull out with a secret shortage on each. My Secretary was my mothers. Like you said, around 1940.
