I think the reason the ending to the show was so emotional for many people was that for a lot of us, we remember that era of childhood innocence and being on the cusp of growing up. At the end of the series the Pines twins had to do just that and say goodbye to their childhood and start preparing for their future. It meant they had to give up a lot and I think at the end of it all they learned a lot about life and us, being adults, relate to that. It's a sad thing but a necessary one.

Then one day we went to an assembly in the gym to here the 6th graders play songs and there was a Girl on piano that played gravity falls and underworld. As much as a third season would be awesome, it could never live up to what we’ve got already. It’s like summer, we never wanted it to end but it has, but it was beautiful while it lasted and we’ll keep revisiting the memories.

As much as a third season would be awesome, it could never live up to what we’ve got already. It’s like summer, we never wanted it to end but it has, but it was beautiful while it lasted and we’ll keep revisiting the memories.
