- In today's video, we went to Perkins Restaurant in Leesburg, Florida. We have not been to a Perkins Restaurant since moving from Missouri so we thought it would be a good idea to go back and see what all they have. There are a lot of locations but we just chose the one restaurant in Leesburg. We have to say that the menu was huge! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day. They have pies, cakes, and muffins. We had a really funny waiter who told us all about the menu. We all ended up getting different items and we thought portion sizes were huge and the food was good! We were impressed with it. The dessert was good and there were so many options to choose from. We would recommend checking them out if you have a Perkins Restaurant near you!
Stay tuned for another video coming soon. Thanks so much for watching! God Bless!!!

Great choices!
I stopped at a Perkins a couple of days ago, and I had The Everything omelet. I had the hash browns and pancakes for my sides. I love their pancakes, especially with their maple syrup. Their prices have definitely gone up over the years, as it has everywhere.
Thanks for sharing! Almost got The Everything omelette too!
November 1990…honeymoon Illinois to Tennessee,Arkansas, and back to Illinois.I do remember stopping at Perkins. Then one opened in southwest Chicago.Alas,it closed after a year. Two fav pies…Boston Cream and Dutch Apple.
Thanks for sharing! Boston Cream would be so good!
Love the shirts!
Thanks so much! We are working on doing a full new store with better material than before. Stay tuned!
I love Perkins though there isn't one anywhere near me. It's been a few years, glad to see the 'Tremendous Twelve' breakfast still on the menu!
Awesome! Seems like they are hanging around. They have an impressive menu!
Everything looked good and prices not just outrageous compared to some places. Favorite pie is a toss-up…pecan and coconut cream.
Good choices! I would go with coconut cream!
Perkins always has a zillion menus, something we always joke about, I've never seen anywhere with so many menus as what they have. We've been going there for a long time, in fact my husband was a manager for Perkins for twelve years back in the late 80s/90s before he went to Cracker Barrel. During the time he worked there they used to have the most amazing menu item that I still mourn the loss of (I know -- dramatic lol), the chicken teriyaki bread bowl salad. In fact every time we go there I think maybe they will bring it back but they never do. Anyway we still go there to the one in Mount Dora pretty often, it's a pleasant place to eat. As for desserts, they have a lot but we usually only get the coconut cream pie or apple pie.
Wow! Thanks for all of this info! We have heard the bread bowl was amazing. Wonder why they quit selling it. Love coconut cream pie!
👍👍
Thanks!
My favorite pie is banana creme is a good apple pie.
That sounds great!
My favorite pie is plain apple and dutch apple
Thanks for sharing!
I used to work at Marie Callender's. Out here on the west coast. They were a spin off of Perkin's same company different name. An yes they did have great food and great pies. I miss Marie Callender's.
That would have been awesome to try! Thanks for sharing!
Reminds me of the movie Men in Black ⚫ having pie 🥧 😋
I'll check out Perkins next time I'm in Missouri. We live in Tulsa Oklahoma.. great video.
Haha that is accurate!!
Hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching!
I eat at the Perkins by Spanish Springs I think it pretty good for a large restaurant chain, I eat there about twice a week and they have changed the menu, I think the quality of food has improved. I go there when they have prime rib on the menu. I go fore dinner I save breakfast for the Flying Biscuit. On the weekends they were offering a prime rib, eggs Benedict breakfast. It was real good and there classic eggs Benedict was great.
Good to know! Need to try the prime rib sometime! Appreciate all of your comments!
I lived in Mount Dora 2017 to 2020. I always forget about that Perkins. I've been but I used to go the Mount Dora location or The Villages.
Our father always wanted to retire in Mount Dora. May I ask why you left?
Yeah it’s a little bit out of the way but not too far. There are several in Central FL. It was a good spot!
We wanted to be in warmer weather and also be close to more things to do like the beach, theme parks, and outdoor activities! We don’t regret it one bit 😃
Just found your channel. Gather you lived in Missouri, moved to Florida? I was born and raised in Miami, moved to KS. We had a Perkins near us but it closed. We went frequently over the years, was always good. What does your name mean?
Hello! Thanks for checking us out! We did move from MO and have a few videos on moving if you are interested. Cool! We are familiar with that area. Our name is a combo of both of our names (Alex = Al and Tember = Tem). Thanks for the comment!
Was the name formerly“Perkins pancake House “? The food as pictured on the menus is really beautiful.
P. S. I just answered my own question, yes, it was originally Perkins pancake House, and more importantly I found that there is one very close to me and thanks to your video. I’m going to try it this weekend. Thanks guys.
When did it have that name, do you know? I've been going there since the 80s at least and never heard of it having any other name.
Awesome! We hope you like it! Had no idea it was called Perkins Pancake House. Thanks for the info!
Interesting! We didn’t know it had another name either!
Perkins is like Village Inn... everything is okay. Nothing is really very good nor very bad. Back in the 1980s, their bread bowls were amazing. Why they took them off the menu is beyond me. Just raise the price a little.
That is a good point! Never got to try the bread bowls. That would be great if they brought them back!
All of the Perkins in Illinois went out of business. Go figure.
Sorry to hear that. There are still quite a bit around here!
Waste of a watch
This seems like a waste of a comment. Next time don’t watch!
If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all!
