Thanks very much for watching my review. Do you own one of these? If so, what do you think, and have you had better results than I had when attempting to poach eggs. I'd love to hear your thoughts, thanks 😀
@@noelkeane8347 that’s excellent, Noel. I hope my review helped you decide to buy one. The winner for me is, you can make a decent omelette using virtually no fat. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it 🙋🏻♂️😀 RTF

I"ve had one of these for years and used them once in a blue moon for a quick "I don't want to eat anything but I should" breakfast; Crack an egg in, blast it for 30 seconds, munch & go. Subpar poached egg indeed. I'll try an omelet when I find the time to cut chives, bellpeppers and grate cheese in the morning yet somehow don't want to take a pan out. The tip on forking the yoke is really good - I suppose that's why my poached egg used to pop in their little Sistema container at around 25 seconds 😀
@@MrLambertJ brilliant comment, this is me all over! ‘Crack an egg and munch and go’ I figure you’ve had a few eggs explode in your microwave then? Forking the yolk definitely helps. As for chopping peppers etc, I do all this at the beginning of the week and store in containers in the fridge, this helps when you can’t be bothered in the morning. Thanks very much for watching the video and supporting my channel 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
@@RichieTheFoodie The box actually does a good job at containing the exploding egg, so it was more of a "Well, I suppose my egg is done" alarm that meant I'd be scraping my egg off the whole inside of the little red bastard with a teaspoon. I had my egg and wasted almost zero time so I wasn't too bothered by the explosion. Good old bachelor life I tell ya.... 😂 Good tip on prepping some bell pepper, fresh chives & grated cheese beforehand. Could even add some prebaked bacon I suppose... I should try at some point. Cheers for the video!
@@RichieTheFoodie The thing is pretty bomb proof as long as the vent is open when it's being microwaved, tbh. Perfect for uni students in dormitories with only microwave/sink facilities. Anyway, I popped to the shop & got some red onions, fresh chives, fresh bell pepper, and cheese. I'm going to try the omelette in it tomorrow as I realised in your video it comes out in the perfect shape to be put on a "Pistolet" as we call that ball-shaped little bread here in Belgium. Thanks again for the recipe/review and having reunited me with the "little red bastard" that's been neglected in my cupboard for years. If the omelette in a pistolet is any good it's a great super quick yet healthy breakfast option!
Aw thanks as always Lenorer. It’s not so great for poaching eggs but for omelettes, it’s actually pretty good. I really appreciate your continued support 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
Alright buddy! I’m excellent thanks, I hope you’re good too. It’s definitely worth a purchase for the omelettes, I think. If you buy one, I’d really appreciate it if you’d use my Amazon affiliate link. It’s in the video description 😀
I have one of these and like you didnt have much success with poached eggs. Also works well for scrambled as you can stop and mix part way through. The pot is also useful for reheating solo portions of bean/veg/cooked rice etc. I know you're a Thermie guy too the best egg poacher I've used is the Wundermic-Wunderpoach attachment for the Thermie. Worth a review maybe?
I’m glad you agree and it isn’t just me just using the poacher wrong! It’s definitely worth a punt for the price you pay as it makes a decent omelette. I’ll definitely have to try the scrambled eggs, thanks. I am indeed a thermie guy, what on earth is this attachment and where do I find it?! I haven’t heard of it and I’m very eager to try it, and of course I’ll make a review 😀 Thanks so much for stopping by and supporting my channel, I really appreciate it 🙋🏻♂️😀RTF
@@user-pf5xq3lq8i to my knowledge, no they haven’t, I’ve tried several. To be fair Chef, the poached eggs are rubbish, the omelette decent enough if you’re pushed for time. Quick and easy. You’ll never beat eggs cooked properly though 😀

Just got one for next to nothing on Amazon, fantastic little device for omlette, lovely in a breakfast style sandwich with bacon and red ketchup

Very nice I have this little product and use it and use it. One thing I do is to cook it at a lower power, usually an eight rather than full power.

PRO TIP:
Microwave CLOSED for 30 seconds. Open, flip the egg. Microwave CLOSED for another 10-20 seconds.
(This prevents the gooey egg bits).
