Tsunade is a really cool character. She’s got the hype and the backstory that a lot of the women in this show didn’t. Only sad thing is that we didn’t get to see her fight much. I think that would have improved people’s opinion of her.
It's sad because Kishimoto was planning to have her fight off Pain for a bit until Naruto showed up, But Shonen Jump and his editors told him it would be better to cut to Naruto arriving. Would have been a great fight to see.
It makes more sense if you picture her as a granny. Just like the sand granny who fought Sasori.

@@DragonBlack199 and its crazy too cuz Kishimoto is the only famous mangaka I know that didn't seem to have a lot of control over his own work. Oda and Togashi are the most respected writers in the shonen genre, I never hear stories of editors meddling with Oda's work and Togashi can basically take breaks whenever he wants without HxH getting cancelled
I just wanted her and the kage to fight more in the war but noooo they axed the current ones to use old hokages
There is one random thing that i noticed - Tsunade is a BRILLIANT manager. Her tenure as Hokage sees 3 massive catastrophes (Orochimaru revenge, Pain attack and the 4th Great Shinobi War) as well as many minor ones, yet she manages to keep the Hidden Leaf economy and infrastructures one of the most if not the MOST prosperous through all of them. She gave Naruto the treatment he deserves, improves the village until Kakashi takes charge, and the best yet, she did not spiral into uncontrollable sadness even after Jiraiya's fall, maintaining her professionalism as Hokage. Kudos to Hashirama & Tobirama for teaching Tsunade about money management (and gambling, sadly), she is making them proud for sure.
ikr, nobody gives her the credit she deserves as a leader, she's up there as one of the best Hokages
also, let's not forget she was the only kage that dealt with the Akatsuki and attempted to stop them in their tracks before they could become a bigger issue
I don't think it's random at all. She did keep the Leaf together even amidst so much chaos.
Not to mention, she saved hundreds during Pain's attack. Some stronger Hokage might have beaten him and got revenge for his village. But I don't think anyone could have actually saved lives.

Tsuande explaining the 4 rules of medical ninjutsu in this entire scene is literally the reason as to why Sakura doesn’t attack any enemies head on throughout the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden but some of the people who attack her by saying she’s “useless” won’t even acknowledge this scene at all for Sakura.

But there were reasons for it , first was these rules of medical ninjutsus

Yeah and since was storing up chakra to create the byakugo seal which means she isn’t suppose to do no large fights until after she reaches the seal but people won’t acknowledge her for her fight with Sassori or how when she finally got the seal she took out a whole group of ten tails clones with one punch while Hinata used a whole 64 palms and lion fist on one of them

That’s because it was not explained or showed properly, if the people who read the light novels would agree Sakura is strong and smart.
Are we just going to ignore the fact that Mei alone countered Madara's fire technique with a large volume of water followed immediately by a water dragon for which she needed 1 sign, and this feat alone took entire 4th unit's water style users to stop and even someone like Tobirama needed 6 signs to do a water dragon, while Kakashi needed 44.
That's why she's one of the 5 Kage.
Madara is superior to a single kage, but the element advantage by Mei evened the playing field. (at least for a jutsu clash)

I don't know man. Water dragon justu is one of the most inconsistent jutus in terms of hand signs. Also, i don't think the animators wanted to animator here doing hand signs for 20 seconds.
Also, Kakashi needed as many hands signs to fireball technique.

This is one of the most underrated scene ! Nobody talks about how Tsunade was during this fight against Madara ! She really showed us that she’s not the Hokage for nothing. Don’t forget that she’s the only characters who has broken the Susanoo and Madara thoughts that she was a weak woman and after he realized that he was wrong ! I hope this video going to have the million views cause Tsunade deserves it for that

To me her 100 healings is kinda like her version of sage mode, but I was dissapointed when I found out she didn't have one aswell.

Tsunade better than sakura
Whether it's medical ninjutsu or simply strength, Prime Tsunade should be better than Sakura. As we saw in the War Arc, she instantly restored Shikamaru and saved his life, thing that Sakura couldn't do despite having the Kyuubi Chakra from Naruto.
tsunade and chiyo paved the way for the next generation, as madara and hashirama did before them
She and Sakura are now the only medical ninja who were able to break the 3 rules of medical ninja.

I LOVE Tsunade, she’s a badass, but it’s a shame that we never got to see much variety with her. She has 4 nature releases, but we only get to see her punch, kick, and heal. It would have been amazing to see a more diversified move set from her
she used lightning release on Kabuto
Medical ninja use their hands to heal and should never carry heavy weight of anything more then medicine and first Aid. They are essentially chakra enhanced doctors . The fact alone that she turns the same hands she heals with into a way of fighting is a huge feat. I also read somewhere the nature of a medical ninjas chakra changes so they aren’t suited to using harmful ninjutsu despite being able to. Think of it this way. If you are creating liquid that’s white. You aren’t going to be using red and blue hues or colors. Because after you have used either once it will be changed and nearly impossible to ever get that white hue color again. A medical ninjas chakra is the same way. The chakra is soothed into a great hue that heals, if you use volatile ninjutsu and chakra techniques it changes the nature of your chakra with each use and makes it harder to be the best medical ninja you could be
it's also safe to assume she can also use water release the same way Sakura used it to remove poison
I think the reason you dont see other moves from her is because her fist is faster and stronger than other jutsu she can use
Ninjas don't need to have a billion jutsus. If you do it most likely means you can't fight. Most ninja with Hella jutsu aren't even good at taijutsu which is a basic fundamental.

Tsunade raised the bar. As Hashirama and Uzumaki descendant, she won’t be surpassed easily.

necroposting, I know, but Madara has a lot of moments where he outright gets outplayed or outmatched for a moment and only survives through having a ridiculous number of hax abilities.
Loved seeing tsunade confidence but loved seeing madara absolutely dominate!
Sometimes, it is satisfying to watch the heroes being defeated.
In most shows, the heroes have confidence that they will win because they fight for justice, for hope or because they know that others are counting on them. While inspiring, it annoys me whenever they win simply due to this.
So, yeah, Madara showing them that they never had any chance of defeating him was nigh cathartic to me.
@LISBOAH For me it's the other way around. It's pretty obvious Madara's gonna dominate; he was set up to be the big baddie of Naruto, there's no way he's gonna lose to some scrubs.
It would've been more satisfying if the Kages gave Madara trouble. That would show that levels of strength actually matter in Naruto instead of certain individuals being privileged power-wise. But of course the algorithm of Naruto _& Sasuke_ Shippuden is that unless you're related to Naruto or Sasuke and not a female, you don't matter.

Tsunade is hell underrated. You can say Sakura is beta konoichi but tsunade invented all of her juts on her own. I think she was the strongest kage in this fight
The thing why FOR ME Sakura did not surpass Tsunade is this: Sakura did good learning this complicated jutsu, but, it is Tsunade the one who revolutioned the medical ninjutsu, Sakura just followed what Tsunade already constructed.

Tsunade just explained and slapped all the faces of people who says Sakura is useless. Coz this actually explained everything about her not being in frontline and just healing.
And what's more impressive if you think about it is. She actually broke rules even before achieving byakugou. He fought Sasori head on. She became the fronline while Chiyo was acting as support only.
She did that while still budgeting her chakra during the fight. She had a little chakra allowed to use during that battle but deym she fought sasori really well. Imagine that, sasori is long range with a huge area of effectiveness with his skills. But Chiyo and Sakura survived. Again, this is Sakura without Byakugou, and while budgeting her chakra. Already breaking the rules.
That part was tremendously iconic! I was screaming when I saw the Byakugo No Jutsu covering her whole body, also that music gave me goosebumps! Tsunade should have got more powerful jutsus as Orochimaru and Jiraiya did, but well, we know women were portrayed as weak in the whole series.

It's true Tsunade doesn't possessed any lethal or flashy jutsu but her vast knowledge for medical techniques and 100 Healing Mark powers is very useful for her village and the war to keep their allies intact

I wish they would go more into her back story. She literally is from a family of Hokage - both her Grandfather and GrandUncle. She also has deep Senju blood, a bit of Uzumaki and who knows what else (from her Mother). When she was young, both the 1st and 2nd were still ALIVE. That’s amazing!

this was one of those scenes that made the hair on the back of you're arms and neck stand up , this scene always gives me chills. aside from literally being one of tsunades biggest fan for so many reasons , she is what I as a women aspire to be like , she never let a man tell her she wasn't good enough or good enough to stand next to or above them. she showed us women that you can have anything you want if you're willing to fight for it. she don't take no disrespect from no-one but yet has the biggest heart , those are the best qualities and something I follow everyday of my life.
I’m a boy, and Tsunade is my favorite character too! I’m in nursing school because I’ve always been interested in medicine, and seeing Tsunade and her medical skills makes me so excited!

I love how positive the comments are on Tsunade's response to Madara's claim that she was a mere weak woman. It seems like everyone in the comments carefully pays attention to this scene because some just don't and the worst part is they just bluntly accuse Tsunade of being a weak woman and a Hokage - it deffo implies that they're being inattentive and biased in this fight.

Not giving Tsunade Sage Mode was criminal, being the granddaughter of the 1st (Sage User) and one of the sannin, the ones known for studying sage art
Also the fact that sage requires good chakra control while byakugo seal requires delicate chakra control meaning tsunade has both good and delicate she definitely could’ve pulled it off slug sage or atleast like a slug acid style by putting katsuya on her shoulder merging her chakra nature with water release tsunade is able to use like acid style piller or something higher

I am so late for this but let us appreciate how strong tsunade was she just cracked up madara’s susano just by one punch and totally destroyed it with just one kick !! She even kicked madara when she was first teleported to the battlefield

Right after she broke his susannoo With a kick she send him across the field through those giant tree roots into a mountain leaving a huge print in the mountain from the impact and then she gets stabbed by him but break the blade and stabs it through his susanno and gets blasted into a mountain but gets back up later on she’s stabbed through 3 times but takes down three human susannoos clones with a full punch and she powers onoki particle style to erase all the clones then she deflects madara fire style with her arms. And last she got split in half but survived easily and healed the five kage at the same time while they were on the brink of death from one stab wound

@@DrawsbyDonnie i’m glad i have met someone with intelligent analysis instead of people who ignore people like tsunade. just because they aren’t the strongest doesn’t mean they deserve to be constantly disrespected and downplayed. i personally think tsunade and sakura would be two good counters to fight the otsutsuki. they have the 100 healings with makes them immortal + gives them strength. they also both have the lady katsuya summon which can attack with spitting acid/also heal the user and anyone else they need per say lady katsuya would be able to heal naruto and sasuke while tsunade/sakura provide backup support through taijutsu. tsunade and sakura both know multiple elemental releases but they chose not use them because there battles don’t really require them to.

The best moment of this whole fight was when Madara asked them like a badass if they want his clones to use Susanoo or not, absolute chills.

Tha fact that the 5 Kage fought as if they had always been a team completing missions 🤯 The show always emphasized teamwork and they never had to team up before. They’re literally just master ninja in a class of their own- so it doesn’t surprise me they were compatible.
People also tend to forget that this isn't Tsunade at her full power either. She had depleted her chakra when pain attacked, she released the seal to save everyone. That was years of chakra she had built up since her fight with Orochimaru in part one. This was her with as much charka as she could build up before the war began, and she STILL destroyed half of Madara's body with one punch. It's such a shame she wasn't given more screen time and fights.
I love Tsunade. I feel she gets really underrated at times, when you talk about the heavy hitters in the Narutoverse.
Every time Tsunade fight her present dominate the scene of the episode like she is a beast.
One thing is for certain, Mei has unbelievable Mastery over water Release. Second to only Tobirama.
True words . Raikage got his physically power amped by Onoki yet when he hitted Madara's Susano'o, the ribbcage didn't moved at all .Yet Mei easily kicked Madara's Susano'o in the air with the water bullet dragon jutsu .
@@alex47775 Nah it only lifted it in the air not actually breach it. A and Onoki tried to break it but it ain't possible for them. And that was Susanoo in only it's Ribcage form.

Everytime i rewatch this scene and heard Tsunades mentioning the 4th rule, always give me goosebumps.
Tsuande was able to destroy the rib cage of a susano. Sakura was able to take a biju bomb and tail beast tails piercing her with kurama DNA. The regeneration of the 100 healings makes them immortal>>
Not necessarily immortal…. There’s is an actual biological limit to how much mitosis cells can undergo. Shizune even said this when Tsunade broke the seal for the first time

Tsunade’s powers are so massive the writers had to reduce her roles in fighting, otherwise enemies would all die in close up combats, same goes for Sakura. imo.

He was given so many amps by kabuto and given hashirama power an and infinite body and chakra tsunade full power wasn’t enough then Sakura enter hundred healings mode she tanks a stab from jubbi madara but because of limbo the invisible wall was too powerful since madara had reached the peak of his power pain arc the best taijutsu fighters were nerfed and war arc they weren’t but they just werent powerful enough to stop madara

She doesn't use a lot of chakra to stay young. It's a basic transformation technique applied with Tsunade's medical expertise. Its the reason why she can do all those high lvl jutsus while still maintaining that constant transformation as it doesn't use that much chakra.

One of my favorite scenes in Naruto. The Kage vs Madara fight is one of my favorites. Pretty happy I found this.
Gotta say, Tsunade is my second favorite character, kind of sad that she didn’t fight on more equal footing with Madara. Then again, Kaguya was necessary partly because Madara had spiraled out of control and Kishimoto couldn’t find a way to eliminate him fairly.
Did y’all know that Kishimoto said Tsunade was supposed to fight pain when Jiraiya died and Naruto was supposed to assist Sakura and Tsunade could have killed him but he changed it cause Naruto is the main character it would of been a dope battle tbh 🥲
