I am a 2016 Olympic Alternate and former NCAA athlete and have deferred my senior year at the University of Utah to come back to elite gymnastics and try for a spot on the 2021 Olympic Team. This channel documents my journey and gives insight into the life of someone preparing for the Olympics!

Gracie, I am right there with you. I had no idea how much I needed to see an Olympian training for the Olympics. I never made it that far but my love of the sport has grown even more watching Mkayla’s videos.

Your UB routine is sooo much cleaner now than at trials, good job! Don't worry about videos from Tokyo; just enjoy being there and focus on what you have to do! I'm sure all of us TH-cam gymnasts will survive...

If I was a fellow gymnast in that room, I feel like it'd be so hard to not have my eyes glued to the OLYMPIAN practicing feet away.
It’s nice to see all of these young gymnasts training right along side Myk. it must be so motivating, she is probably a great role model. The girls all seem so intrigued by her, they all stop and watch when she is doing a full routine and cheer when she lands.
It would be so distracting knowing that a gymnast training beside you is going to the Olympics!

MyKayla, just want you to know what an inspiration you have been for my daughter. Being out of the gym was so difficult for her during Covid. Then she returned only to have an even more challenging time bc of gymnast's wrists which kept her off impact for almost 6 months. She persevered though and kept up with as much as she could and came back for the last meet of the season and qualified for state and then regionals. Watching you train and not give up throughout your own issues has really helped her. She's 13 and gymnastics is one thing, but the life lessons learned are a world above. Thank you and congratulations!

really rooting for myk to make vault finals, i feel like she should really focus on that rather than AA bc with simone, suni and jordan the race for AA finals is gonna be so hard. and no hate to myk whatsoever but suni and jordan just seem to be a level above the rest of the us field

Since the judges loves to deduct your moors you should do a double doudle then a full twisting layout and a triple twist at the end that'd be sick! I love you so much and want you to get in floor finals! You deserve it! You've been working so hard (FOR YEARS!)

I have a whole new respect and admiration for gymnasts whether they be elite or collegiate and the training they go through to compete and compete well. I knew training in gymnastics could be/is intense but it’s nice seeing it through your videos of the many hours a gymnast spends in the gym and doing elements over and over again to make sure they are clean, perfect, and ready to compete.

The sign in your gym has to be so motivating for those young gymnasts in the gym training along side you. It most definitely must have them thinking “if she can do it (go to the Olympics) I can do it!”
