Something I learned awhile back that blew my mind. In Psalm 22, it says, "they divided my garments , among them and from my clothing , they cast lots." This is 2 different prophecies even though we usually see it as 1. In John 19 verse 23. The soldiers took his garments and made 4 parts, to each man a part. But the Tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece. They didn't want to tear it. So they said let us not tear but cast lots for it, whose it shall be? The prophecy was fulfilled so perfectly.

I read that recently too I think it’s beautiful as well as it being a psalm of David . David helped paint a picture of the promised one’s passion ( his lineage) probably without realizing how much of a prophetic meaning it would have later and help prove his credibility as messiah.

@orlandocarroline4910 yeah the pierced hand and feet is obvious. I find the prophecy about they divided His garments and for His clothing they cast lots and how perfectly it matches with John's gospel so amazing.

When he was on the cross and said “My God why have you forsaken me” he was referencing/ telling people to go read psalm 22. He wasn’t genuinely asking like most think. They didn’t have the Bible back then. There weren’t chapters and verses.

When Jesus said, ‘It is finished,’ . The written word in ancient greek was 'Tetelestai'
This word was written on business documents or receipts in New Testament times to show indicating that a bill had been paid in full.

He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:2-4. Classic, now I know that Jesus is King and I'm so grateful for who he is when he died for me.

    You missed one connection:
At the last supper Jesus said he would not drink the fruit of the vine again until the kingdom of God comes:
    ‭Luke 22:17-18
[17] Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks, he said, “Take this and share it among yourselves. [18] For I tell you, from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
    __
    He also said,
    ‭Luke 9:27
[27] Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”
    __
When he was on the cross, the criminal on his right asked him to remember him when he comes into his kingdom. So when did Jesus come into his kingdom?
Jesus drank wine again right before he gave up his spirit, when they out sour wine on a sponge and held it up to him for him to drink, marking this as the moment the kingdom of God came in power, as miracles happened with this event -- the Temple curtain tore, an earthquake happened, and according to Matthew, some old covenant saints even resurrected. Why did the kingdom of God come at that moment? Because that was the moment Jesus' atonement brought people into the kingdom. God's kingdom is not to have unwilling subjects who are not atoned for. The atonement achieved by Jesus on the cross when he died for our sins is what inaugurated his kingdom.
He was right that some would not taste death until they see the kingdom of God come. There was one who tasted death-- Jesus himself.
Another thing we miss is that a sponge soaked in sour wine mounted on a stick just added to the insult and humiliation of Jesus. Romans wiped their butts with sponges soaked in sour wine mounted on sticks. They basically had Jesus drink from what amounted to a butt wiping sponge.

Humiliation and failure are not seen by God in the way that we see it, for God is closest to us when we are most weak and powerless. With unclenched hands we receive mercy and blessing, while the clenched fist of power refuses to allow God's love to dwell within the heart. Blessed are the poor and meek.

In the english it's not so clear but when Jesus said to Peter "Do you love me?" 3 times. In the Greek He says Peter "do you Agape Me?", Peter replies "Lord I philos You" ... they do that a 2nd time. Then the 3rd time Jesus says "Peter do you philos Me"? and Peter replies "Lord you know all things you know I do."
Agape is a self-sacrificial love. Philos is a brotherly love. Remember Peter denied Jesus 3 times because he was not willing to sacrifice himself for Jesus. So at this stage Peter is still not willing to sacrifice himself for Jesus. But, and h's the cool part. Jesus then prophecies about how Peter will die. He says -
"Truly, truly I [Jesus] tell you [Peter], when you were younger, you used to put on your belt and walk wherever you wanted; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will put your belt on you, and bring you where you do not want to go.” Now He said this, indicating by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had said this, He said to him, “Follow Me!”" John 21:18-19
So even though at this point in his life Peter doesn't Agape Jesus. Jesus let's him know you *will* Agape Me. According to the early church fathers - Peter died being crucified upside, because he didn't consider himself worthy of dying in the same manner as Jesus.

I think that the reason I like your videos so much is because as I read the English translation of the Bible, I can tell so much context is missing. It's almost like a kung fu movie that was dubbed passingly or a much more dense Hamlet that needs annotations for the annotations. Everything is jampacked with significance. As much as I love Dr. Jordan Peterson, I don't always have the full energy or time to follow through everything in his biblical series. Your videos have *moving pictures* and *sound.* The other day I was thinking it would be awesome if someone combined the storytelling and art of Berserk to show the Bible but this works just as well. These short videos I can sneak in or play on loop while I do menial stuff at work. Thank you so much for doing God's work, especially those of us who are new to faith.

There is so much more then this within the cross, why his hands nailed to the tree as it says in John? Why a crown of thorns upon his head? Why the spear in his side? Why one nail not two through his heels? What is the old Israelites Jewish thinking on the burning bush to be? Also what prophetic fulfilments can be had from Genesis to Revelation that are all within these symbols on the cross? Hope that you will look into the questions I has mentioned. It's very revealing as to not Jesus being a man but as to who Jesus really is as God!

The crucifixion of Jesus is rich with symbolism and has been interpreted in various ways within Christian theology. Here are some insights into your questions:
      ### Symbolism of the Crucifixion
      1. **Hands Nailed to the Tree**:
      - The reference to the "tree" in the New Testament (e.g., Acts 5:30) ties back to Deuteronomy 21:22-23, where being hung on a tree is a sign of curse. Jesus' crucifixion is seen as him taking on the curse of sin for humanity.
      2. **Crown of Thorns**:
      - The crown of thorns (Matthew 27:29) symbolizes mockery of his claim to kingship. It also represents the pain and suffering he endured, linking to the curse of the ground in Genesis 3:18, where thorns and thistles are mentioned.
      3. **Spear in His Side**:
      - The piercing (John 19:34) fulfills Zechariah 12:10, where it mentions "they will look on me, the one they have pierced." It also signifies the outpouring of blood and water, which some interpret as symbols of the sacraments of Eucharist and Baptism.
      4. **One Nail Through the Heels**:
      - This detail is less explicitly mentioned in the Bible but is inferred from some artistic depictions. It symbolizes the fulfillment of Genesis 3:15, where the serpent would strike the heel of the woman's offspring.
      ### Jewish Interpretation of the Burning Bush
      - The burning bush (Exodus 3) is traditionally seen as a symbol of God's presence and holiness. It represents the divine calling of Moses and the unquenchable nature of God's spirit. The bush burning without being consumed is seen as a metaphor for Israel's suffering yet enduring spirit.
      ### Prophetic Fulfillments from Genesis to Revelation
      1. **Genesis 3:15**:
      - Seen as the first prophecy of the Messiah, the "seed" of the woman who will crush the serpent's head, fulfilled through Jesus' victory over sin and death.
      2. **Isaiah 53**:
      - The suffering servant prophecy, fulfilled in Jesus' crucifixion and atonement for sin.
      3. **Psalm 22**:
      - Contains imagery of crucifixion, such as "they pierce my hands and feet," and is seen as a foretelling of Jesus' suffering.
      4. **Revelation**:
      - The imagery of the Lamb who was slain (Revelation 5:6) ties back to the sacrificial system and the Passover lamb, fulfilled in Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice.
These symbols and narratives create a tapestry of theological meaning, reflecting the Christian belief in Jesus as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy and the savior of humanity.

Jesus Christ call heavenly father as Abba Father when praying but on the cross he calls the the Almighty father as God
Because then he without sin he was able to call the Almighty father as father but when he took all sins of the multitude he was with sins of humanity on him so he was only able to call as God.
The explanation of why Jesus prayed the cup to be removed from him, when his mission was to die on cross as sacrifice, Jesus didn't want to escape the suffering or mission but he was deeply in sorrow that God the Father will not be with Jesus Christ when he carries the sins of the humanity on him as God clearly says nothing with sin can come close to me, hence he knew he will miss the father at that hour which is hell experience and he want to avoid that feeling

Hi. You mentioned that the 3 closest disciples fell asleep in the garden when Jesus was praying. How do we know what actually happened during this time? I think that there is a possibility that John (who never refers to himself in the Gospel of John except by third party reference) was actually with Jesus, awake, & it is possible that some of the prayer was recorded in John Ch 17.

One thing I might wanna add is, that the Bulls of Bashan can also very well refer to demonic powers. Dr. Michael S. Heiser demonstrated that in multiple videos and also in his book "unseen realm". This idea even intensifies Jesus' victory over satan's kingdom.

8 verses who prove OSAS '
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, so that no man could boast
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life
There is none righteous, no, not one:
What must I do to get saved?
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

    A couple of observations:
    - The drink the Roman soldiers gave Jesus was "posca", a cheap beverage made with water and wine vinegar. Sometimes they'd add herbs or an egg.
    - The Roman's didn't use toilet paper. Instead they'd use a sponge on a stick, called a "xylospongium". When the Roman soldier offered Jesus a sponge soaked in posca, he wasn't just extending Jesus' agony; He was also playing a crude, vulgar, mean-spirited joke.
The soldier didn't know it, but this was all done in fulfilment of Psalm 69: 21 which says "They gave me gall to eat and vinegar to drink".

I did want to make a comment on including "Easter" as a holiday with the bunnies and the eggs, consider it constructive criticism since I do love your videos, Please be careful, a lot of holidays are of pagan origins then evolved to be included in christian faith by catholic means. I would say if you did want to be biblically based I would research before including those outside aspects. With that being said, your videos really do touch my heart and makes me love God and the sharing of his word so much, keep it up!

How come, a God needs a drink to decrease pain... The creator of all, the one that knows and owns everything. If you believe in this, you must ponder your thought and beliefs, this is a serious matter.

There is also a theory that Roman soldiers carried with them a sponge on a stick which they used as reusable toilet paper and to humiliate Jesus they used such to offer him sour wine. After hearing this theory, I had to hope that the sponge was hopefully well washed. Otherwise it would have been very gross. But apparently the soldiers were tempted to be mean and mischievous because the crosses of that time were so short that they wouldn't have had any difficulty just walking up to Jesus and pouring sour wine into his mouth.

For anyone interested - Shane Willard did a brilliant sermon on the crussifiction including a lot of history. This also includes that the viniger wine He drank was actually from the cleaners working in the public latrines, further shaming Jesus before he died..

The wine Christ drinks on the cross is actually the fourth and final cup drank in the Passover meal. When he said 'it is finished' he was talking about the fulfillment of the Jewish Passover, making Christ's sacrifice (the one sacrifice at every Mass) the new Passover. 'It is finished' could not be the defeat of sin because Paul says that the death -and- resurrection conquered sin.

How Jesus managed to fulfill prophecy quotes while on the cross is truly the work of the holy spirit
While Jesus was on the cross I doubt he was in the mood to quote scripture

00:21 "our lord's death"... God dies?

    • @BornAgainChris
      @BornAgainChris 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes.
      Zechariah 12:10 (God is speaking):
"And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.”
      Acts 20:28:
“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.”
God, in the physical human body He took upon, did die. However, He didn't cease to exist as God in His very nature is immortal.
