This channel is a freaking great idea! It preannounces to be one of the very best quality pov channel on TH-cam (I'm pretty tired with the usual others that everyone knows). Pure pov, great roads, fantastic camera angle (!), no talking, keep going Luke!!
I am a student in an international country. And I miss driving sooooo bad. This channel relinquishes that desire to drive, well at least to some level. So thanks a lot.
wait a second, is this your first video? damm i got here way too early and i don't regret at all! no doubt porsche is such a beauty of a car...this must the goal i can't forget.
Hi Luke. Can you please post a video of several runs demonstrating the the intake sound of the engine between 2800 and 4500 RPMs? Maybe half to 3/4 throttle in the appropriate high gear (in manual mode without changing gears) building up the velocity. Maybe windows slightly cracked sometimes and sometimes all the way raised. Starting say around 30 mph, another starting around 40 mph, another starting at 50, etc. It would be interesting for me since the intake sound is something I’ve read all about and as I have an RS car on order I’m wondering if there is a special intake sound present that Preuringer and the media speak about but which I cannot distinguish when the engine is washing out all other sounds during high RPM and high acceleration runs. I imagine this will be fun for you and for your audience. Thank you!
Mr. Cars with Luke, would you share your POV camera setup? I have tried so many different mounts and cant seem to find anything to get a good angle. Appreciate it either way!
Right now I'm trying out setups myself but this is just with the mouth grip, takes a bit of time to find the right angle. Just don't use the head mount, that's too high.
@@carswithlukepov Gotcha, I tried the head mount as well, definitely too high. I also tried the shoulder mount (gives an awkward view of your inner ear), the chest mount which is too low and the neck mount which is usable for sure, but just a tad bit too low and doesn't give the same dynamic quality because it obviously doesn't turn as you turn your head. The only complaint with the mouth mount is you have to bite down for such a long period of time and with the weight of the camera it gets a little uncomfortable. Either way, I appreciate the feedback and look forward to the rest of your content! I'll be posting my first POV video soon, I'll send it your way if you wanna check it out! Side note: congrats on the GT3 mate
3:02 Quite long geared... That 1st gear moment was WTF. I think this car would benefit from a 10% shorter ratios (like many modern Porsches specially those with manual 6 gears. Other cars too). I suposse this is due to emissions regulations etc
Too bad you didn't go past 7k once. Between 7500 and that 9k redline is where that intoxicating raspy wail lies and you hear the true essence of this car, the reason that airbox is in the cabin behind your ears.
I like to think that's obvious but for those that don't know this is a public road not a race track, so we have speed limits here, if you would hit top revs you're just speeding quickly or just sitting in 1 gear always which is not fun. That's just how you drive a fast car on the road to respect limits.
@@carswithlukepov and then it’s starts to beg the question… what’s the point in someone owning these cars if they’re not willing to take it on track? 😕
Driving These cars are not just about driving them fast and to the limits. It’s about the ultimate driving experience. More than just a fast car, believe me 🏎
Dude nice editing! But why not going for 9k rpm? The magic with this car starts after 8k... my 991.2 GT3 screams godly after 8k, can't imagine how this GT4RS sounds in person. :)

@@WerdeOnlineErfolgreich Not sure where you live but that doesn't work in Switzerland, blurring your speed is just admitting to speeding. I'm fine with it, speed limits are there to protect people, others more than yourself.

am confused by what I see, steering wheel has paddles and driver is operating them, but the shifter does not look like an auto lever but a manual stick, and driver operates that stick also!?!? is this some special configuration for a GT4 RS? never got a good look at the pedals
It's a PDK automatic transmission that you can shift in manual mode. In manual mode you can shift it via paddles or the stick itself. Back for downshifts and forward for upshifts. Hope that helps!
@@meed9k Depends on what you consider a downshift. If you want to switch from 3rd to 2nd (downshift as you go towards a lower gear --> down) you push the stick forward, i.e. in driving direction et vice versa. I guess that's what you meant, right?
The delicate art of creating lovley soundtrack without incriminating yourself for speeding each time u slide over 80kph.
Finally someone that understands why I can't and wont hit 9k revs every time. Smooth and steady road fun.

Love the use of the gear lever to change gears! 🙌
It’s manual?
Sequential
No and also no it’s a PDK which is Porsche’s dual clutch. That is a manual transmission that is computerized and shifted automatically by the TCM
