Lutron RA2 Select - In-Line Dimmer Installation | Smart Home

I agree with the wire locations, very awkward to cross connect two cables into the dimmer, especially up a ladder! I also managed to lose that small screw as it made a bid for freedom just as I was about to replace it! Very helpful video though.

what is the inline dimmer for ? don't the light switch dimmer does that ?

You could absolutely do it that way but for a retrofit control system, you can then split circuits and create more zones of lighting

Absolutely, but I would go for 0-10v
