Man you're honestly the best youtuber for the Forester Community. I use your vids a lot for learning how to install parts on my 06 FXT. Also thanks for getting me hooked on Bundaberg. Can't remember which vid you had with them but man they're delicious, even better with a splash of bourbon 😉
Did my front rotors and calipers on my 14 Forester. Took a different choice of calipers. I opted for the Brembo calipers of a Cadillac ATS. And just like you, love the pedal feel on the brakes. Keep it up bro!!
Hey man. Good stuff. I noticed your rear swaybar and endlink setup. It’s recommended on forester to get the white line endlink weldment support with a bigger swaybar. Prevents you having to replace the lateral link when that tab bends with a big bar
I just did this to my wrx wagon a couple weeks ago. Can't with to test them out this spring. Went the same route you did but with hawk pads and stop tech rotors and lines
Hello! I loved your video. Id like to make the same upgrade you did. I have a subaru forester Xt SG9 2007. Could you tell me wher can I find the rear caliper adapter as you showed.
@carsandcody at 16:28, what rear anti sway bar mount are you using? It has that cutout arrow pointing to the front of the car.I need to replace the ones on my 07FXT. Thanks.
So what’s the trick to installing the rear extended studs? Did you do a rear wheel bearing job? Or just loosen the ring for the abs and angle them in with the parking brake shoes off? I gots to know 😬
I saw you're using whiteline sway bar mounts the taller one for forester sg. Do you have any issues with them , because I saw the care is lowered . Thank you !
Hi Coddy,I have a none turbo forester XS 5speed and I'm thinking on upgrading to brembo as well,so the front one just bolt on as usual and the back you need the adapter right, and I need to get STI rotors 5x100 bolt pattern in my case, hope to hear your feedback
Don’t bother! The “adapter” doesn’t work well enough to pass an MOT in the UK so best to go all-in and fit R180 setup. Additionally, 6 speed box gives peace of mind… just do it
i swapped my 2001 wrx type with the subaru type 4 pot front and 2 pot rears with s/steel lines fluid discs and STD pads = $3,500 the lot 2001 forester turbo ! = but your no mechanic - thats for sure !

HAHAHAHA Bundaberg!! That was I believe the IAG AOS video! I greatly appreciate your comments and support buddy, I try my best ❤️🤙🏼
Did u use sti brake lines or forester ones?
0:53 - those sound like Cicadas, members of the Hemiptera Order 😊. Love the Forester mods and man those Calipers look so good! 🥰
Spot on bud
Looks awesome man. Love how the blue pops with the darker wheels!

That was the second option if I talked myself out of the brembos!
This will be my next upgrade. I love how you powder coated them blue which is what I have been doing to every accessory color on my silver FXT.

Here have an upvote. Wish I could give 2 to offset the one downvote. Keep going Cody. Good luck with the build and stay safe.
Thank you my friend 😊
“Inches per nuttage”….
Best quote. I’d buy the T-Shirt. 🤣😂
I love the color you chose for the brakes. Car looks really nice!
I just did this to my wrx wagon a couple weeks ago. Can't with to test them out this spring. Went the same route you did but with hawk pads and stop tech rotors and lines
Hell yeah! I was between hawks and stop techs. After these I’ll try the hawk pads just to see how they compare!
I'm literally in the middle of doing this exact Brembo brake up grade and you weren't fucking lying it's EXPENSIVE!
quick question, well the stock rims go over the brembos in the front with no spacers?
The thing is getting so nice
You’re getting so nice ❤️
That finished product looks amazing! Well done bro...

Those are cicadas my guy lol
I need to do this on my 2014 wrx hatchback. About to start eating ramens
I think DBA made rear disk that can accumulate the stock ebrake pad and utilize brembo brake
Correct! I explained my reasoning against going that route!
not gonna lie, The biggest fan comment made me sub haha
How about doing a swap for a 2017 SJ Forester.
@carsandcody at 16:28, what rear anti sway bar mount are you using? It has that cutout arrow pointing to the front of the car.I need to replace the ones on my 07FXT. Thanks.
They are Whiteline FXT spec mounts!
@@CarsAndCody thanks for the response.
@CarsAndCody where did you get those stabalizer bar end links
So what’s the trick to installing the rear extended studs? Did you do a rear wheel bearing job? Or just loosen the ring for the abs and angle them in with the parking brake shoes off? I gots to know 😬
Great stuff - what tool is that you use to install the studs - space looking thing
The blue points 😁
Did you get the stainless lines for an STI or your FXT?
Does KNS still exist? I can't find anything from their links.
For the stainless brake lines, what’s the part number for rears&front? Planning on upgrading my lines 03 forester
I saw you're using whiteline sway bar mounts the taller one for forester sg. Do you have any issues with them , because I saw the care is lowered . Thank you !
How much did he charge to powder coat?
where I can get the rear brake pad?
What brakes lines did you use? For what application?

Same as my car in the video!
@@CarsAndCody thanx man
Did you use STAINLESS STEEL STI BRAKE LINES?? Or FXT BRAKE LINES?
Do you know if 16in rims will clear those brakes or does it need to be 17in +
Is all of this the same for brz’s?
what headlight are they?
What kind of tool did you use to pull and seat those extended wheel studs? Just like a collar?
Stud installer tool
@@CarsAndCody thx, I googled it. Lisle part#22800. Like $24 bones on Amazon, Fam.
Did u use sti brake lines or forester ones?
Are those Hyper Blue painted calipers?
Playboy Blue! Powedercoat
are 2004 sti rotors for 5x114.3 or 5x100?
5x100
Doesn't the dust shield bolt off under the brake shoes?
On the front they unbolt! The rear is spot welded
Awesome video man! Do you have an Instagram or anything featuring you FXT?
Yupp! @carsandcody
Did you instal the rear arp studs without removing the hub?
Yes I did! You need to grind down the end a little and fit them through the Speed sensor hole! Unbolt the ABS tone ring and you can do it!
Don’t bother! The “adapter” doesn’t work well enough to pass an MOT in the UK so best to go all-in and fit R180 setup. Additionally, 6 speed box gives peace of mind… just do it
specs on wheels and tires?
Safety 1st my dude. Please get a pair of Safety glasses while wrenching. Thanks for the automotive content.

Def prefer full contact of nuttage
Nuttage...
😘
Tell me if I'm wrong, I'm looking to do this soon, do the fronts just bolt up in the hub, in the same spot the factory brake calipers do?
