I have one question for you that yo may be able to answer. Does the liquid rules for the carryon bag also apply to the personal bag? Like limited amount of liquids in one quartsized bag.
Great tip about the Turkish towel! I have a dedicated pair of thin black leggings, a black t-shirt and a pair of undies in a ziplock baggie at the bottom of my personal item. I don’t even take them out upon return. They live there. Never know about sudden turbulence that may spill my or the person beside me drink. I also keep a travel pillow “zippered pillowcase 12 x 20” in case I want to put my jacket, sweater, etc in it and then use that as a pillow. Always enjoy your tips and content!
@@gloriamiller5515 I have one from Walmart that is under $3. Takes up no room at all in my personal item bag. Have used it on almost every flight. Stuff in sweatshirt/hoodie/jacket and perfect for window seat! Have fun and enjoy your travels!
#1 looks really similar to my loveook backpack, it has a few extra “hidden” pockets in the front that have tons of room, and one in the back. it has a place where you can charge your phone, it has computer space and iPad space, two inside pockets that look like you could put a water bottle in it, and even another zipper inside it. I’m wondering if I could use that as a potential personal item bag. I would love to see you review one of them (didn’t mean to reply in here oops lol)
I use a small crossbody bag that has my passport/wallet/phone, charging cord, gum, tissues, etc in it that I might want on the plane. I put the bag in the personal item when boarding the plane since that would be 3 items along with the carry-on bag. I then wear the crossbody bag on the plane. That way I have my passport and wallet on me when I go to the bathroom (I sometimes travel alone and don't want to leave those at my seat) and usually never have to pull out my personal item from under the seat in front of me during the flight.
Well done! I have a similar back pack and agree with the chosen items. One thing that I have recently started packing is a bumbag, it would replace your bag that has the tissues, etc in it. I can hang the bumbag from the tray in front of me. While the tray is closed, it is right there in arms reach, yet out of my way. Just a thing to share… safe travels!
After much research and before seeing your videos, I chose the same bag a few years ago when I needed a new one. I absolutely love it and get many compliments. It is a great bag not just for travel. Thanks for all your travel tips!!!
I just got back from 11 months traveling around the world. Great suggestions. Also will not leave without a Turkish towel. Use as a wrap, beach towel, to roll up and help dry clothes washed in the shower or sink, and for picnics. Have the same backpack :) Love it!
Thanks for the suggestions! Only things I would add is in addition to the sanitizing wipes would be some personal wipes and I always bring some snacks.
I put a compression cube filled with a top, bra and undies in the bottom of my bag, just in case there is no room in the overhead bin and my carry on needs to be checked. I also have a tiny pouch with any jewellery, my cross-body bag with my wallet, sunglasses, reading glasses and cleaner cloth, all of my spare batteries and all of my medication. I have a problem because my injectable medication need to be kept cold so I have a zippered bag with cold pack inside which the drug company gave me (along with a letter stating my dr's prescription). My laptop is 17 inches and you were so kind to say that one fits in the bag!
You pack very well! I have also used the backpack alone for some shorter trips (3-4 days). I love it! Thanks so much for being here with me - I appreciate you 😊
I am always either hot or cold on planes. I usually wear a t-shirt and take a cardigan. Once we were stuck in a plane for two hours on a hot tarmac in some Asian airport with no air conditioning on!!!!! it was hot and I was so glad I only had a t shirt on. Later on in the flight and we were up up and away it was cold, very glad to have my cardigan. You just never know. I always have spare undies also. Love your back pack but since I am old now, 72, I am thinking along the lines of an underseat wheeled bag. One that can go on top of my wheelie bag to be piggybacked. I always use check in because I am small and old and can't get luggage up in the cabin luggage racks. I don't want to bother the staff when they are very busy with everyone and nor do I want to bother the other passengers so I simply check in my bag. Even still it's not a big bag, I still have to lug it all over the place and if there are no lifts. Yep, you know what I mean. Small, old ladies need to be organised so that lugging luggage is not an arthritis hurter!!!! LOL
I have a Falanko bookbag which I use for work. I really love it, but I am using a different backback for my upcoming flight on British Airways. The Falanko is a smidgen too deep.
Your worksheets will be so handy for my upcoming trip! I’ll be riding with my brother to his home and then return home by plane. Of course, lots to do in between. Thanks to you, I’ve learned how to lower my stress level while traveling.
I just received the identical backpack (17”), as a present from my kiddo. I saw it on your video and that’s how I found you! It was great to see how I can pack it for my next trip. Also, I always pack my meds, supplements, jewelry and a change of underwear/pants/shirt in a compression bag - preparedness for the unknown. Thanks for the info!
Hi Lori thank you for the video I love your backpack it holds so many things but not to bulky. Yes i carry or wear something to keep me warm on the plane as I get cold to. Thank you for the tips. Have a great day.

Hi, Lori! Just wondering what additional items you would pack in your personal item bag for a long plane ride. I have the backpack you have and several of the other items you showed. Our flight time for our next big trip (the first we’ve taken in several years) is over 9 hours!
Wow - that is a longer flight for sure. In that case the only thing I would add is a padded eye mask so I can sleep comfortably. Here is a link to the one I have if your curious: amzn.to/3OflF6H it has plenty of room for my eyelashes 😉

He isn't complaining about the cost of anything in real life. 😉 I'm going to see if I can get them to do a collab video with me when the trip gets closer. Stay tuned 😉
Hi Margaret. It depends on the formula. The one I show in the video is considered a solid - because it is solid in the tin. They also make a formula that is softer and squeezes out of a tube - that one is a liquid. So, it really just depends on the one you have. I'm always careful to choose one that is considered a solid. Thanks so much for being here with me - I appreciate you 😊

can you fit a laptop in your personal carry on bag?
Yes, easily 😁
Is lip balm a solid or liquid?
Hi Margaret. It depends on the formula. The one I show in the video is considered a solid - because it is solid in the tin. They also make a formula that is softer and squeezes out of a tube - that one is a liquid. So, it really just depends on the one you have. I'm always careful to choose one that is considered a solid. Thanks so much for being here with me - I appreciate you 😊
How are you friends ❣️ nice shareing video
we are great here - thank you! 😊
How about your documents?
HI Cynthia - I carry them in the zipper pocket on the back behind the shoulder straps. It isan almost "hidden" pocket 😉
I’d be worried about stuff falling out of that side pocket
I understand - maybe I've been lucky because I've never had anything fall out. Thank you so much for being here with me ☺
