I actually have the opposite problem - I like punchier colours and ektar, but when I shot my first roll of lomo 100 the shots came out flatter than I would have liked. Definitely want to give it another go tho. Loving the compositions and the blues of these shots

I shoot Ektar a lot, it has a very nice latitude and really punchy colors, it's more on the warm side but still has beautiful blues and greens, the only downside I could find: it's not very good for skintones. I can see some similarities with this lomo but I think it's kind of a washed out version of Ektar, it's cheaper but not so much and I hate wasting my time and work, so I'm really grateful for these reviews and videos, good job!!!
I’m glad that I could help out a bit. Ektar and I have been going back and forth but I’m about to buy it for 4x5 and shoot some. I think your right so I would be beautiful for landscape. :)

I’ve just got my first roll of Lomo Purple, very stoked on trying it out. By the way my Ikoflex works and makes nice pictures if you’ve got the hang of it

Great Video! I have some Lomo 100 that I haven’t shot yet. Going off your experience I’ll rate it at ISO 125. Ektar, I have found, doesn’t like to be over exposed. The colors to me are deeper when slightly under exposed.

i like Lolo 800 (a lot cheaper than Portra 800 and not so bad)

Haven’t tried lomo 100 but I use ektar at night and get really good results

I wish this stuff was still $18 for 3x rolls. Price has jumped now to $24 for 3x rolls in 100 or 400 ISO, and $26 for 3x rolls 800 ISO.

A lot of people seem to believe that the Lomography color negative films are actually Kodak Gold 100, 400 and 800.
I’ve head myths that it’s old Kodak VR Magic ... we need someone on the inside!
I tried lomo 100 once and I like my result, especially the color I agree that the contrast is not the best though.

There are some really solid shots on that roll, man. Even if it's ektaresque. That second one in the cave and that shot of the hut from the low angle are flames booooii
