I bought the orange one and I love it. I have received so many compliments about this watch. It’s a watch that gets attention for sure. The reason I bought it was as a appreciation piece to celebrate me getting well after three years of illness and remind me to appreciate feeling well and that life is precious. That orange is a happy colour and makes me smile every time I look at it.
Never heard of Tuseno until just now. Just checked out their site, the Shellback and Blackwater are also worth a look. Definitely keeping an eye on this brand when I'm ready for another watch. Thanks for the review!
Lovely watches. I have a Zelos Swordfish Field (purple dial Nebula) watch, bit smaller but very similar in terms of quality, finishing and bracelet (but not a butterfly clasp) and it's a great watch from a micro brand. Does have an NH38 movement which I find to be very accurate and much better than the NH35 (looks pretty smooth too in terms of sweep). Obviously not a Sellita but very good. I highly recommend this watch (they have different colours too) and Zelos generally. Great value for the money, I think. Thank you for a lovely video with great shots Dave.
At first glance, it looks very similar to a number of well done Citizens or Seikos outside of the round date window at the 6 o'clock position. But really, once I looked for more than a few seconds it was clear this was just better done all the way around and frankly, to get something this well done I would have expected it to be twice as much... especially with a swiss movement.
I just purchased the blue Windseeker. Excellent review here- well done. The blue version is stunning and i am not aware of anything in this price range ($650 USD includes shipping and tax) that has these specs, this level of detail, and this level of finishing. There are a couple other options from legacy brands but they have aspects that don't work for me. Can't wait until it arrives!
Oh, I've had an eye on this one too. When I was picking my Wife's present to me, (yes, I do my own shopping), I finally decided on the Direnzo Eclipse as my Swiss Watch choice. I don't know if I'll ever stop second guessing....but I don't think either is a bad choice when it comes to looks.
Very nice alternative from a great brand. I still think the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra should stay on your radar - it is something special on the wrist.
That is an interesting watch, I really like the orange. I like the engraving on the rehaut, though on the blue it looks to be slightly misaligned. It reminds me of the rehaut on the Revelot Hexmariner you reviewed a while back.
Very underrated watch. Wear my blue one all the time. Love this watch when wearing denim. I'm not sure why but butterfly clasps have always fitted my wrists.
That's a nice watch, the orange is niiiice. Good size, nice finishing. Aqua terra as a grail watch is interesting though, quite readily available so not hard to get, albeit expensive. Its a great all rounder though. I wouldn't buy this but I'd definitely recommend it to a non watch geek friend. Cheers Dave
It's a real beaut! I, too would go with the blue. Orange are more of a colorway for divers but it is beautiful nevertheless. This one is on my list of watches to consider.
Nice review, thanks! Thanks also for some very nice footage. I have been eyeing the Windseeker for some time now, and after watching this video I am really tempted to book a consultation and visit the Tusenö show room (which is situated in the city where I happen to live!)
Gentlemen, please allow me an esoteric criticism. It is the seconds hand. Looking at this unit the outstanding feature is the dial. Well done Tuseno! You have achieved a beautiful design. This is quite an accomplishment in what is in reality just a small amount of real estate. So what could go wrong? The first and very minor issue is the Date. This is such a good dial that we do not want a distraction. More important is the seconds hand. Looked at in isolation it is perfectly good. But again; the dial is so damn brilliant that we do not want any distraction from it. I do like a seconds hand but in this case the overall aesthetic demands that the full beauty of the dial be unencumbered. This watch could have achieved near perfection with a - what is the adjective? - restrained seconds hand. A small seconds? no, that would require a subdial. An orange seconds hand? probably overdoing it. I think a stainless steel seconds hand without a tip would be just right. As an aside my position is that a seconds hand does not need to reach out to the seconds markers on the dial - especially with mechanical watches.
I truly hope Tusenö sticks around. They seem to have a great designer amongst their ranks and hope they have success for many years to come. For me, I would take the orange for sure (Peter Cotsa had it on an orange strap and it looked fantastic!). I completely understand that the dark blue may be more versatile however. I must say that, instead of having a small cutout for the date, either have that opening larger or no date at all … You can confirm but I’m sure the date is not easy to see. In any case, great review! Thanks for sharing 🙂👍🏼
Love the case shape and dial. Almost purchased the silver dial variant but the fact that the Tuseno didn’t include something as simple as half links stopped me. I understand they’re offering them on pre-order now, but it was kind of a huge oversight on their part to begin with. Also that date window execution is terrible and I couldn’t get over it. They should’ve gone with a no date design and it would’ve looked infinitely better.
Another great review! The watch is quite lovely. I can't get past the curved striping on the watch face, though. And on orange, it just looks like a basketball.. :/ I agree that the minute engravings are difficult to see. Even under your marco they are tiny! Some color fill would fix that.
Dave do yourself a favour and save up for the Aqua Terra. It was my grail and I tried other ‘homages’ in an attempt to get the experience and none of them came close to the real thing in looks, feel and wearing experience…not to mention the money wasted along the way. I will never sell it unlike the other ones.
This looks great and if I was just beginning my collection, it would be an instant purchase. But as the collection has grown (I am now at 17 watches), I find it more and more difficult to add another. 😞
As a proper Aquatera alternative I can also recommend the Certins DS Action. It has a similar dial and indizes layout, but not that popping colors. But it looks similar sporty. Even the automatic with see through caseback is quite affordable, they do also offer a cheaper quartz version.
👉Wow! What an amazing watch from a company I've never heard of. So glad you highlight some of the other smaller watch companies from time to time. God bless. 👍
I hope they retain the very long seconds hand, and keep the bright yellow vs that same blue dial. The yellow energizes the design. The length of the seconds hand puts the ‘sweep’ in ‘sweep second hand’. Adds drama.
Maybe the narrow numbers on the rehaut could have worked better if they painted them in, either with the dial color or accent color used for the WINDSEEKER text. Rehaut on the one you kept is misaligned slightly clockwise.
Great watch!👍 My choice for a daily doing everything from beach to opera was the Longines Conquest Automatic. In 39mm with no lume blue dial this watch is as versatile as nothing else and with 300m of water resistance and 70h of power reserve it is outstanding in its class for just 1000,-€
Dave, here's the issue I have watching your videos - they're dangerous. You introduce awesome micro brand watches, many of which I have never heard of, and after watching your videos, I want one. Hence, they are dangerous. So you're aware, I've made several watch purchases on some of the micro brands you introduced. Tuseno is an interesting micro brand that I am going to consider. As always, another great vid - thanks.
It's nice, but there's no way this would bump the Aqua Terra off my list. The butterfly clasp is a disappointment, especially how much gap there is between links. The blue is the better pick but the yellow hands just make the watch seem too casual.
I wish that if a brand insists on a butterfly clasp that they include half or 3/4 links. Or ideally they use a zodiac style expanding butterfly (those are awesome but I guess they have a patent on it as I've never seen it imitated).
The flat brushed bezel is the one thing I don't like, other than that it's a nice looking watch, it's good to see a microbrand use swiss movements and not the NH35. It's close but not for me.
Yeah VERY nice watch, I’d buy it if it was in a gold or rose gold tone (I have enough stainless steel ones) but at the end of the day it’s not the Omega
Is it just me or do the engraved seconds on the rehaut fail to line up with the indices? They would be much better removed altogether. I don't like the bracelet either, just the watch on a strap for less money would suit me.
Tusenö makes great watches by the looks, I would buy them if they lost the "Göteborg" text on the dial. Being a Norwegian it's a show stopper. Weird huh!!
Being a person of 100% Swedish heritage, ‘GOTHEBORG’ on the dial is a feature, not a bug. Using the city name vs Sweden is charming. Why shouldn’t this watch declare its identity? Swiss , Germans, Japanese aren’t shy.
A real alternative to Aquaterra should have al least 150m WR or more. By the way, the date window is too close to index at 6, and it´s not framed. The retail price in Europe is about 880 dollar/800 eur, no 649
I really think Butterfly clasp bracelets have run their course (too old school for me and I'm old) I've owned a lot of watches. I mean a lot! I can't say that I've ever had a watch with a butterfly clasp that impressed me, either in the way they look and definitely because of the lack of fit. Butterfly Clasps: You're Burnt! I'm done with you. But this Tuenso watch. I love it. A few more color ways a will really help this brand.
I wish most of these microbrands would just put their logo on the dial rather than their names. The logo they have on their site is really nice looking.
The blue one- the hour markers are way off center of the numbers in the rehaut. Once I saw it, it’s the only thing I could see. Not just bad, but Seiko bad. Ouch 🤕
Great review Dave. Being in Miami i ended up buying both colors you featured. As for my dislikes, you got it, lack of adjustability on the bracelet, wish they had included half links, and the etching on the rehaut is too small. BTW, Tuseno is now offering half links for presale with delivery mid Q2 2024. They cost $25 for 1 pair (one side of the clasp), or $45 for 2 pairs (both sides of the clasp).
Oh, that's a tough one, as the Seiko is probably my favorite watch in my collection. I'd probably go with the Seiko, largely because of Seiko's heritage and particularly that of the Alpinist. I also think the dial is nicer on the Alpinist, Seiko's pretty tough to beat in that regard. But I like the bracelet better on the Tuseno, which actually makes a big difference in how I feel about the watch. I enjoy the Tuseno on the bracelet, I don't like the Alpinist on it's bracelet, and on the bracelet the Tuseno becomes a much better option if I'm in a situation where I might go swimming. And I like the slimmer case (the Alpinist is pretty chubby at nearly 13mm), and while I like the design and dial of the Alpinist better, the Tuseno isn't far behind at all. I also think I prefer the SW200 in the Tuseno movement over the 6r35 in the Alpinist.
Are you a Mormon? It was one of my past times to talk to their street preachers when I was in Japan. I always asked them how long they have been in the country expecting them to answer in years, They always amazed me by answering in weeks.
Four things would prevent me getting one of these - too big for my taste, the horrible date window, the flat-topped bezel (ugly) and lack of bracelet adjustability.
Great watch but retains its value for 10 min before its shipped. For whatever reason Tuseno watches loose about 50% of its value the movement you order it.
Based on what? People are buying them new and immediately giving themselves a 50% haicut by putting them up for sale at a half off price? Who would do that?
aqua terra never really interested me before.... except the modern design look abit attractive and simple.... this microbrand seems ok too. but likewise not really that mind blowing too but indeed seems a good alternative!
-the etched minutes/dial is misaligned -no microadjust -butterfly clasps are VERY uncomfortable for me -no half links -770 usd+ import taxes and shipping Looks good, but 99% couldn't size it to wear nice, and I hate the clasp
I HATE the rehaut. It's also not aligned properly with the indices. Looks like a cheap gimmick. Weird design choices. Totally unnecessary. Without half-links, butterfly clasps are awful.

Beautiful watch. How’s it going Dave? Hope you’re doing well!
The blue dial on that leather strap was beautiful! Great choice Dave!
Very nice alternative from a great brand. I still think the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra should stay on your radar - it is something special on the wrist.
Awesome watch, lovely dail. Hope Tuseno make a light blue, turquoise dail.
Never heard of these guys. Thanks for the review. I was about to order a Seiko, but I take one of these instead.
That is an interesting watch, I really like the orange. I like the engraving on the rehaut, though on the blue it looks to be slightly misaligned. It reminds me of the rehaut on the Revelot Hexmariner you reviewed a while back.

What I like about this watch is that although it does give off an Aqua Terra vibe, it is different enough to be it's own design. I really like it!

Fantastic review. Had me almost drooling. Planning on adding at least one of these to my watch box. Thanks for sharing!

Nice. The dial reminds me of the clinker built hulls of longships. A bit like the longship that brought Eriksson to the New World
Another great review!

I dont mind butterfly clasps at all , for some its a deal breaker. That said , if you're going to do a butterfly clasp , half links are a MUST !
I noticed a Henry Archer in the lume shot. Have I missed this review? I have the Nordlys in the purple and love it.
That one's coming in January! There's a special edition with a Malachite dial being released in collaboration with The Microbrand Store.

Hey, I would love to see you reviewing the casio lineage LCW-M100TSE-1AJF! It has it all, I wonder what will you think about it.
Looks lovely, I'll keep my open for a good used one
👉Wow! What an amazing watch from a company I've never heard of. So glad you highlight some of the other smaller watch companies from time to time. God bless. 👍

Orange is sweet!

I have some very serious reservations about the reverse compliant parameters.
That orange one looks nice.
Great review and the watch looks awesome. They’re on my radar now.
Nice watch, but the date looks a bit shifted to the right with the single digits....
Yeah VERY nice watch, I’d buy it if it was in a gold or rose gold tone (I have enough stainless steel ones) but at the end of the day it’s not the Omega
Nice. I liked the orange one.
It is looking good but still to expensive for me: 700 € plus taxes and shipping.
Is it just me or do the engraved seconds on the rehaut fail to line up with the indices? They would be much better removed altogether. I don't like the bracelet either, just the watch on a strap for less money would suit me.

The chapter ring alignment on that blue one is Seiko bad 🤦♂️
Yep, good call. That sort of QC takes away my interest.
The blue one- the hour markers are way off center of the numbers in the rehaut. Once I saw it, it’s the only thing I could see. Not just bad, but Seiko bad. Ouch 🤕
It looks ok I don’t like bracelet colours are good but really you need more if you are stepping up to next price point
Great review Dave. Being in Miami i ended up buying both colors you featured. As for my dislikes, you got it, lack of adjustability on the bracelet, wish they had included half links, and the etching on the rehaut is too small.

Why are they 650 USD but 800 Euro? Did i miss sth?
Great review, thanks
Nice timepiece; but hardly a substitute for an Omega Aquaterra
I must say the blue is a handsome watch
So Dave, if you had to choose between the Tusenö Windseeker and the Seiko 1959 Alpinist SPB249, which would it be and why?
Oh, that's a tough one, as the Seiko is probably my favorite watch in my collection. I'd probably go with the Seiko, largely because of Seiko's heritage and particularly that of the Alpinist. I thought this brand was Chinese,so I learned their a Swedish brand. Thanks Dave
No adjustments on the Bracelet - my only issue with butterfly clasps. Nice piece otherwise.
Can we expect the Namica Okami review soon too? 😉

I actually wanted to buy one but the price my god its just to much for me.

Tuseno?? The translation from Spanish is: “YourTit” 😂😂😂
They offer half links.
Watch looks way too small on 7.5" wrist - dial is too small/bezel too thick. Also the bracelet is too narrow and tapers down to nothing on the clasp.
aqua terra never really interested me before.... except the modern design look abit attractive and simple.... this microbrand seems ok too. but likewise not really that mind blowing too but indeed seems a good alternative!
👍☝🏻👍
It is nice but it’s not an Omega.
In Euro 799? This ist 850 Dollar
Date window placement is horrible and the orange one reminds me of a basketball.
-the etched minutes/dial is misaligned
-no microadjust
-butterfly clasps are VERY uncomfortable for me
-no half links
-770 usd+ import taxes and shipping
Looks good, but 99% couldn't size it to wear nice, and I hate the clasp
chapter ring is misaligned

It looks like a direct rip off on the aqua Terra.
I HATE the rehaut. It's also not aligned properly with the indices. Looks like a cheap gimmick. Weird design choices. Totally unnecessary. Without half-links, butterfly clasps are awful.
