So install a new carrier rubber over a worn out carrier rubber and worn out carrier bearing for almost the same price as a brand new 2 piece driveshaft with new u-joints and new carrier bearing assembly, got it.
Lot of folks actually install these over new driveshafts if they're concerned about the rest of the shaft. Gives you best of both worlds. Generally speaking though the bearings outlast the rest of the driveshaft, so there's not a point replacing them if they're still good. It's just the rubber that goes bad.

I send you guys an email. Waiting for a reply. After installing there is now a terrible vibration coming from the drive shaft. How do I fix this? Car is a 06 GT.
I received your email and responded last night. I can help you find the source of the vibration and eliminate it. Keep in mind the carrier has no moving parts, so cannot create a vibration, only transmit one to the cabin that you may not have felt through the soft OEM carrier. The best course of action is to find the source and eliminate it. If we cannot, then there are a number of ways to soften the carrier and/or isolate it more from the vehicle so it doesn't transmit to the cabin.
@@JXBPerformance I've installed my JXBPerformance S197 Center Carrier Assembly using the Track durometer vers inserts on my 09 GT & got some vibration (oscillating flutter in unibody by seat) as well between 35-45 MPH (yes, the JXB carrier was installed w\o the OEM spacers as instructed.........FYI). Afterwards I thought to check\measure the front DS section's U-joint operating angle & found this outside of the max recommended operating angle of 3* down (mine was at 4* down) so this was my culprit. So, I made some trans crossmember shims out of 1 1\2" W flat steel plate (2-1\8" & 2-3\16" thick.........6 1\4" L x 1 1\2" W w\ 4 9\16" hole centers) & bought 4-M12 x 1.75 x 60mm grade 10.9 flanged head full thread bolts w\ 4-M12 x 37.7mm flat washers & shimmed the trans crossmember 5\16" lower to reduce the front DS section U-joint operating angle off trans flange from 4* down to 1* down (to meet the recommended single U-joint operating angle of .5*-1* when run in tandem w\ a double cardan U-joint assembly\CV joint on the other end of shaft.......the single U-joint has nothing to phase to\against thus it's operating angle has to be set very close to 0*............believe this is why Ford made such a soft center carrier to offset\mask this)......vibes are now pretty much gone. Since the rear DS section contains 2 CV joints you most likely have no issue of NVH coming from them unless 1 or both CV joints are damaged internally, so any vibes noted after installing 1 of these JXB parts on any Ford S197 is IMHO most likely coming from the front DS section that contains the U-joint\center carrier bearing w\ the plunging CV joint of the rear DS section bolted to it.......check the U-joint's operating angle after installing this new JXB carrier.......especially if using the Track durometer vers inserts. This is most likely nothing new to the folks @ JXBPerformance so I typed this to be of some help to others reading this. Hope this helps.
I’m getting the vibrations as well, after going back to slightly adjust the bottom half of the hearing it got better but still remained. Anyone find a solution?
