We wanted to introduce you all to another industry veteran and someone we've worked with a long time and respect. Dave has been a reviewer, a case modder, a water cooling technician, and now basically professionally builds computers for trade shows. If you've ever thought about working in the industry, this gives you an idea for what the technicians go through to get builds done in time for their companies.
Thanks for coming to chat to me about the case Steve! It was awesome to see you at InWin HQ. Quite the surprise. It's always a pleasure to chat to you! Apologies for my head being all over the place. Sleep deprivation and not having time to do any concrete notes on the case made for a bit of an unusual video from me, but hey, you're editors did a great job! See you very soon hopefully! - Dave
While I may not like a lot of the cases In Win make, I love and appreciate their willingness to do different things and be creative with them. The industry needs more In Wins. And this build was actually really cool. It came out looking really good.
I dinged a $250 case last year and it stung. If only I had had an InWin rep with a handy sheet of stickers, I might still have that case, rather than selling it on to someone willing to face the result of my fumblefingers.
Man, I wish there was a GN custom build channel that shows all kinds of custom builds from concept to finished product. I would love to learn by watching and get ideas for my own. Great work!
Loving the people-focused content! Always cool to see the faces of people who actually produce the products we can enthuse over. And i have to say, especially in these interviews it just seems that everyone just loves doing their job. Great stuff :D
Oh... That sticker, I remember noticing it in the video, it stood out. It was a bit too much. Then I went to sleep, and woke up, and thought - yeah, too much. It's too much. Glad to know there was a reason behind it!
Good to see the double rotary fitting in action. I couldn't work out whether they would be useful in my builds but now I know they would. I'll be ordering a few of them ready for my next maintenance cycle (I have 2 water cooled builds).
Finally, in the TH-cam computer enthusiast community, a man called Dave who sounds like he's from somewhere in the Midlands (UK). Keep up the good steriotype sir, from Yorkshire.
@@stevewatson6839 Honestly it's not a big difference. I like Klein, Wiha and many other tools also. The small difference for me that sets Wera tools up a notch is that I haven't bought one disappointing tool from them.
“Put a bit of water based lube and it will slide right in.” Is not a sentence I expected to hear on Gamers Nexus. Cool build. Personally I’m happy with the computer working. If it looks half way decent that’s just a plus.
I just love how clean it looks and I dislike custom loops for the constant fear of leaks spontaneously happening which I've seen before happen in builds shared on Reddit.
This is correct, however, the screws were too long in the prototype sample and they would hit each slat as you tried to push it in, so if you flip it, it scratches the sliders, but doesn't get stuck, which is far better when showing it off haha :D
Haha, yeah, my voice was gone from talking to people all day and then partying all evening. It's one of those things that always happens at events. Unless you're sensible like Steve and go for nice dinners and then head back at a reasonable time to edit and write content!
That is a super clean and beautiful build! Can We find out what fittings and parts they used from the EK line of products ? I prolly couldnt hear it well if they mentioned it XD
@@davido_labidoOh cool. I've got family that way and the accent on Gamers Nexus made me do a second take. It was great to see your build, I really like your work.
@@davido_labido Amazing! Yeah it’s funny how accents stick for some people but not for others tbh. Actually thinking of moving up to Sheffield from London - perhaps I’ll see you from the m1….
'Not affordable' and ek. Name a better combo. They're cool products, but I'd rather get an entire loop by alphacool for the price of a distroplate from ek. Which from jays video, just looks incomplete compared to the alphacool distro.
$750 Case ? hmmmm , more than many peoples whole pc`s , pricing out the poor guy in the room , but that`s just how apple works , oops , sorry not sorry

you got a bot problem
Where is my comment on the telegram bs ???? proving an issue with reporting ?

Lol you telling Steve not to touch the case. Couldn’t tell if you were serious at first😭
"I was in a this room alone for 16 hours", classic response.
@@nerdneckbrodski731 haha, at first I don't know if Steve knew if I was joking or not either. He's always a good sport with things though!
Awesome work dude 👍, love hearing from the enthusiasts in the industry - so much more interesting than what comes out of marketing
Have known Dave for many many years. Awesome to see him get recognition like this.
Aaaah thanks beaut! See ya at an event soon!!!
I like how Mike trying to get out of the shot make him more noticeable.

Dave you legend! So amazing to see your hard work and effort pay off! Beautiful build too!
Thaaaanks!!
Jeeeeez, I mean, I read/watch a lot of the coverage from these events but holy crap GN's "fluff stuff" is the best.
Dave is a G, always a pleasure to see at uk events.
2:17 I mean, some people may have sudden urges when they see a well made case.😅
Dave has done some awesome work! I have been a fan of Dave for a while!
I see Dave, I like.😘
I use KY for lubing fittings too! Works great!!!
Absolutely loving these spotlights and informal but super informative conversations
Thanks Steve!
Beautiful build! I liked seeing all the Wera tools on the workbench. I use their tools for electrical and HVAC work and they're excellent.
Why Wera over others? 3rd appearance of something; I take note.
@@stevewatson6839 Honestly it's not a big difference. I like Klein, Wiha and many other tools also. The small difference for me that sets Wera tools up a notch is that I haven't bought one disappointing tool from them.
The lubricant interrogation lmao
Press "X" to doubt 😅
Well Steve, what about that big tub of Vaseline you bought with Bearded Hardware? Can you explain that?
You never know when you'll need to insulate a motherboard.
This is the very scenario that self checkout registers were invented for
you will no longer feel the need to clarify that its for your motherboard
It's so nice to see some Wera tools in the wild once in a while, not only those ones living in my garage.

Well played.
With those legs and the thick aluminium it looks like a giant version of the Chopin Max - though there's no chance of fitting a 360mm rad in that. 😸
Nice to see the ""kitchen"
I just love how clean it looks and I dislike custom loops for the constant fear of leaks spontaneously happening which I've seen before happen in builds shared on Reddit.
COOL CASE, I WANT ONE !!!!
Thanks Steve 😎 🤙 🦅
5:35 that fan filter is upside down :P the slats look like they're supposed to line up with the slats in the case

What an awesome job.
British humour right there. Nice one mate.
*physically taps do not touch sticker* I love it!
Awesome dude with awesome build. I wish him a good sleep after this one. In the end segment he sounded really tired 🙂

Now that’s a beautiful PC
Such a cool build, it looks amazing.
6:21 +2 points for Shield longevity 😅
This looks like what you would get if Schiit built a PC case.
Inwin cases' aestetic is amazing. My 901 is a freaking furnace but i find it one of the better looking cases I've ever seen
it needs speed holes
Cool case. Expensive but very cool idea.
That is a super clean and beautiful build! Can We find out what fittings and parts they used from the EK line of products ? I prolly couldnt hear it well if they mentioned it XD
All of the fittings are EK Quantum Torque fittings :)
I saw "PC build" and "$750" and wondered if it was really GN I clicked on. Then I said "Oh. $750 was just for the case."
cool build
After watching the documentary of this person, I feel terrible for what happened to poor Dave.
How about the cable management, did you check it at the show?
I'm surprised you didn't show on camera that it was properly cable managed like you were talking about lmao
Nice looking build, but in practice I really would not want capacative buttons if I can at all avoid it, they are just a general pain.
That's a nice case for people who spend tons of time tinkering.
I'm thinking it would just be wise to always carry various sizes and shapes of Do Not Touch stickers.
Or "actual size" stickers.
Daves voice really changed from the two locations
That's what long days, lots of talking to media and attending as many parties as possible to network does to a man. :D
"Fitting"ly I see what you did there
If this thing is $1000 or under, I’m buying one. But the last custom Inwin/EKWB case was $1500. It was a lot more custom, but we will see.
5:01 lol
This case is awesome. Did Dave have any affiliation with Overclockers by any chance? I can tell from the Stoke accent that he's from around that way.
I've built show systems for OcUk in the past and worked with them at events. Never been employed directly by them though.
@@davido_labidoOh cool. I've got family that way and the accent on Gamers Nexus made me do a second take. It was great to see your build, I really like your work.
Honestly, an amazing "fix" xd
Just remember "Northern Boys Love Gravy"
Dave is from Stoke on Trent, UK?
I am indeed!
Something slightly surreal about Steve talking to a man who seems to be from the West Midlands somewhere
I'm a stokie :D (although I've lived in Nottingham/Derby for longer than I lived in Stoke. I just can't lose the accent!)
@@davido_labido Amazing! Yeah it’s funny how accents stick for some people but not for others tbh. Actually thinking of moving up to Sheffield from London - perhaps I’ll see you from the m1….
Great video, though poor Mike, always being in shot, despite his best efforts.
reminds me of the 500 series which is miss and i never bought one :(

That's a 20 series geforce themed pc
Hey DAVE! Thanks for getting back to me on Reddit lol 😂😂😂😂 I’m just kidding, nice build!!
Poor Mike keeps trying to get out of the shot. Are you trolling him?
Ha when he opened his mouth I was not expecting an Englishman.
It'd be cool if this shit was affordable, since what is and isn't affordable seems to be down to execs dictating what stays niche
first

I think the clear (no liquid) and blue looked cool.
