They can be freely bought and especially the ones more focused on stabbing will get you instant stoppage power on an assailant. A random burglar without a firearm is likely to only have a knife or small club on them. A sword makes short work of those. Machetes are also good if you want to go for cutting, cause unlike swords, their added top weight will make sure they will go through any clothing. Which can be a problem with swords vs multiple layers of modern clothing (e.g. a leather jacket will greatly decrease the damage you do with a cut).
I can only speak for my country but from what I've seen, it's about the same for most of Europe. There are 2 countries, I think, that do need an added psyche evaluation though. But for me it is: 1. Get a paper from your physician that says you can handle a firearm safely. Basically if you don't have any big physical disabilities that would prevent you from handling a firearm, you are good. 2. Join a shooting club. You need to be a member of a club to prove you are a recreational shooter. It's basically just money, so you pay a fee every month. 3. You pass a theoretical exam about gun safety. Like don't point it at people, keep your finger off the trigger unless you intend to shoot,...the basic safety rules. 4. You pass a practical exam where you shoot the gun and apply the theoretical rules. So just don't go pointing your gun everywhere and you should be good. 5. You send all of this in to the government as an application. We have 4 categories: pistol, revolver, unrifled and rifled barrel. You can do all 4 at the same time if you want. 6. You get your licenses for each category you applied for. Every year, you need to prove you went to the range to shoot 10 times at least, to prove you are still an active member of the shooting club. But that isn't an issue if you love shooting. But as soon as you get your license, you can order a firearm. We don't have shops here that have 500 rifles readily available. But you can order any firearm in any caliber. You could technically order an AK-74 in .22. It takes about 2-3 months to get your weapon delivered at the shop. This whole process takes about 6 months. To get licensed. But we can get most of the stuff Americans can get. We can get an AK in 7.62, an AR-15 in 5.56. I think because we are more strict on getting firearms, that a myth was born in the US that Europeans don't have firearms. We do have them. It's just more paperwork so a lot of people decide not to do it. So if the US is talking about banning AR-15 I think to myself, how could the US be more restrictive on guns than Europe?! We have access to that stuff, just takes more paperwork. We never outright banned 5.56 or 7.62, we just made people go through more work. Getting a 9mm is the same work here as getting a 7.62. If you want to do it legally. Don't get me started on how our laws make a big difference on what normal people have and the RPGs criminals have, literally. @@frogmantactical
@MustardSkaven from what I've understood about looking into the gun laws of some European countries, particularly England and Germany, like you pointed out, you need to prove that your firearms are for recreational use only, so I have come to understand that you have no right to use it in a home defense situation and would most likely be found guilty of a crime, and have your recreational license revoked for using it in a home invasion situation. Am I incorrect in my assessment? I also was under the impression that there are quite a lot of restrictions in terms of magazine capacity as well as barrel length. I know certain east European countries, like Slovenia, are a bit less restrictive and I'm sure they vary quite a bit from country to country, but as far as I understand the right to self defense with firearms is nearly nonexistent. There are states in the US, like NY and CA, that have implemented as many laws as possible to similarly limit firearms ownership and the right to use one for self defense. There is something called a "duty to retreat," including in your own home that gives prosecutors a lot of leeway to criminally punish a homeowner for shooting an aggressor in their home if it can be proven that there was an "ability to retreat"
Lori, if you don't get answers let me know. Training is the best benefits for anyone n any level. You never stop learning n would encourage to also understand Point Shooting as well. Most ladies benefit with single stack 45 acp, as you are shooting 45 already. I have a Kimber Ultra Covert single stack 45 acp n absolute love it. But love Sigs, Wilson Combat ect,,, Another item you might consider is a Midget 4ply Sap 8-9oz. Black Jacks work too, but also too good at times. Every lady should have a midget in their purse or pocket is the best. Learn how to use one well n DON'T EVER let men know you have one. It may save your life some day. God Bless, Ty

A+ for the few seconds you spent talking about stick vs knife. Many people do not think of that. Also you reminded us that each home should be equipt with at least 1 gallon bucket of paint and reliable brush for quick touch ups. Thats basic spouse defense right there. 🤙🏽🇺🇸
The compensators i have on the ar platforms would probably leave bleeding ears if fired inside. Do have lots of non firearm stuff to use. Plus kids always leaving legos all over the floor
Alot of people will might not be ready for how loud shooting indoors is without ear pro is. Something to condider. Gonna put a new meaning to ring your bell
Really solid setup for home defense. Compact for maneuvering, relatively low power for overpenetration concerns, suppressor for hearing protection. Really gotta make them shots count though.
Good advice on the stick. I study Historical European Martial Arts and the big draw from over the shoulder was described by a fencing master in the 1300’s as ‘the peasant cut’ one that uses huge force from over shoulder driven by fear and ignorance of fighting arts. Let me tell he was not concerned by it nor am I. It telegraphs, it over extends, the force invariably means the cut goes right to the floor not stopping at centre… all of these things mean it is easily dealt with and slow. The snap cuts you did, or half cuts negate all of these things and is far better. Good advice. Just remember to return it not leave it dangling in the space between you and your opponent… or they will grab it.
What did that wall ever do to you!? As far as the police coming into your home, i never thought of it that way. I have zero experience on the law enforcement side of their skillset. seal talking about homedefence..... "youre wife is gonna kill me" so what youre saying .. .for homedefence... we should get his wife to protect our home?
I have two rescued GSD s who are so glad to be out of California and living in a loving and secure home that I have no doubt that they would trade their lives for me and my wife's. My job is to plan so that they never have to. they sleep in our Livingroom, and I would NEVER let Them outside for a prowler. but, if the prowler or prowlers are too screwed up and still want to ignore the barking, which is GSD for "Hey Dad, we gotta problem" there is always my Colt Cobra two inch .38 sp. which I bought in 1963, and still works fine. I carried it as my back up weapon for twenty-five years, three months and six days while I was being paid to stick my nose in other people's problems. In that time, I fired exactly one round on the street. it got the job done. I still remember that day, every day.
I have one of those repeating pistol crossbows, 7 bolt magazine. I attached a light to it, as well. I've practiced with it and I think I'm good enough to use it in case of a home invasion or something like that. I will get a gun eventually, but this will do for now. I also have one of those African spears as well, lol. I figured a stick with a pointy sharp object is a good choice, too.
I've never thought about a spear gun for home defense. Are you serious or joking? I can't own a firearm and I'm buying a cross bow and a regular bow and a spear gun sounds awesome. Any other comments or suggestions?
LOL!!! Awesome! If it were my house I would NOT fix that corner. It’s too much of a funny and memorable moment that I would leave it and if I were ever in a “down” frame of mind, I would just go to that corner to get myself to laugh and remind myself to lighten up, laugh and enjoy life.
Just got a Ruger Security 9 that came with a laser pre-installed. The only thing that would make me crap myself faster than hearing a pump action behind me is turning around to see my chest painted with a laser, just like in the movies.
If you are going to use a stick like weapon, i suggest a shorter one. Like a light club or tee ball bat. A lengthy weapon is not good in close quarters. Im proficient in kali, so thats my silent go to.
Well done! One advantage of a handgun that was not mentioned is the ability to use one-handed thus freeing up the other hand to use a cellphone, wall switches, doorknobs, obtain more ammo, push/pull family members out of the line of fire, etc. The comment about temporary/permanent hearing loss is a serious consideration, and to me at least, makes a 5.56 AR a poor choice. Even with hearing protection, having one near me in an indoor range is uncomfortable.
Here is a thing I’ve done at my house: almost ALL of the lights in the house, yard and back structure office, are linked to ALEXA. So, I can say, “Alexa, office lights on,” or, “Alexa, kitchen lights on,” and the lights come on. BUT, and here is the best thing, you can say, “Hey, Alexa, ALL lights on,” and every light in the house and back office and yard and porches will come on….” Not always what you want to do, but if I am home alone - well, alone with the 1301 and 1911 and CZ and S&W - I can rely on the mounted lights to see what I need to see, and also turn off (as well as on) all the lights in the house, leaving an intruder literally in the dark. Just a thought.
My favorite Alexa routine: "Alexa, battle stations." Alexa: Plays "Let the bodies hit the floor" on all speakers in the house, and flashes all the lights in the house to red. Perhaps not the most tactically sound routine, but it makes me giggle anyway. 😉😁
Did you not pay attention to his spot on AURA? Alexa? Really? Amazon and it's partners aren't merely waiting for you to call it out; they are listening 24/7 to every word said. Your's, anyone else at your place, what's on the TV, the radio, every visitor. I'm not 100% on this, but if I recall correctly, you can put together a similar system that's not connected to people who hate you. On the rare days I have to use Google Maps in my vehicle to go somewhere, I turn on Siri 🥴 so I can tell it the address I want to be misdirected to. Then, I get a twofer. Not only do I waste time and fuel driving around the country, trying to reach my destination, but I've also told unknown entities where I'm going, and vaguely what I'm up to. I don't hate technology. I love most of it. But I think about what I'm telling the world, every time I use my toaster, which is probably listening to me, as well.
I think an important part of this video is when he talks about hearing loss and home damage. A shotgun is real good at killing bad guys at close range but there are other options that allow you to keep your hearing and your home more intact.
Alone up in this holler I use dd5v3 which yes will blow my ears clear out of my head especially with the 419hellfire on it but if it’s that bad I’m slingin lead in the house I’ll worry bout that on the cleanup…nobody around for overpenetration…10mm and .44 mag my next option….wish y’all merry Christmas Jason….matt in ky

You can get a semi-automatic shotgun. Ready to fire. The most important thing is to detect the treat outside. You will have time to put a headset and get ready. motion sensors on your driveway and camera allow you to scan around your house without leaving the house
Great advice for the most part, but you have highly underestimated birdshot in close quarters such as a home. Even #6 high brass lead shot is devastating especially at any distances you’ll engage someone at inside a home.
"Off went the safety for Old Saint Nick!" I personally run a retro AR with a Romeo5 on top the carry handle. It's on the moment I pick up the rifle. It's a very comfortable setup.
For me I use two for defense inside the castle. 1. First choice is the 1911. 2. Single action Colt .45 with 250 gr. Keith Wad cutter. One round in the chest you won't get up. But.. never shoot just once. Stop the threat

Wow that was a very Refreshing Video compared to Most on TH-cam. Very to the Point and Informative from a Real Professional trained in Weapons and Tactics. I'm not Gucci myself compared to the usual Urban Tactical Warfighter 🤣🤣🤣
As far as defensive shootings go, the F.B.I. cites the statistic that in any given year, about 90% of all defensive shootings occur at a distance of 10 feet or closer. In the majority of all defensive shootings, a handgun is used. That makes sense, given the maximum effective range of most handguns being 50 feet or less. For home defense, I am more inclined to use an SBR, because to me, a handgun is a compromise weapon, a regular-sized rifle is difficult to wield around corners and tight spaces, and a shotgun is insanely loud indoors.
First rule of filming defense videos that may involve home damage: Film it in somebody else's home.

Baseball bat? I know they’re not that common over there. Cricket bat might be a more common option over there.
italy?
Love your videos I learn so much. Thanks and keep them coming!!
Thank you for watching God bless 🙌🏻.
Awesome Instructor, thanks! Merry Christmas and God Bless!
Merry Christmas God bless🙌🏻.
But love Sigs, Wilson Combat ect,,,
Another item you might consider is a Midget 4ply Sap 8-9oz. Black Jacks work too, but also too good at times. Every lady should have a midget in their purse or pocket is the best. Learn how to use one well n DON'T EVER let men know you have one. It may save your life some day. God Bless, Ty
Merry Christmas brother!!
Personally live alone, and CA so for the moment 10 rounds. My shotgun is my go to though my pistol handy as well. Both with lights and optics. I’ve patterned 004 LEO buck and it stays inside a goofball at 5 yards, inside a baseball at 10. Then buck and I can select a slug. And in my bedside hit and run bag is also spackle and touch up paint……😂
Dang, that was my little girls just a few years ago!!!!! Good job there little lady, go get em!
Enjoy them they grow up fast.
Soon they will be ATAK certified, building AR's, and tracking down transmitters, being Comms geeks, and setting trip wires.
Mine grew up so FAST, but I enjoy every day with them I can.
Merry Christmas from our Family!
On the shotgun side you also have to think about ammo count and ability of use with a shotgun.
Great stuff! Very helpful and practical. Thanks for this.
Those Lego’s are deadly 😂 God bless man🙌🏻
Alot of people will might not be ready for how loud shooting indoors is without ear pro is. Something to condider. Gonna put a new meaning to ring your bell
Just remember the tip of the stick is moving 80 to 90+ MPH in the stike arc. If you move hand to hip you will generate substantial power
Really solid setup for home defense. Compact for maneuvering, relatively low power for overpenetration concerns, suppressor for hearing protection. Really gotta make them shots count though.
Great video! Thank you for your service & Merry Christmas.
Thank you. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄

Sheetrocks an easy fix. Your good. Great vid.

What did that wall ever do to you!? As far as the police coming into your home, i never thought of it that way. I have zero experience on the law enforcement side of their skillset. I protect my family and THOUGHT i could rely on them to do the same, but you gave me some food for thought. Great video.
That opening monologue with the grinch and lil girl was 10/10 bro 😂 she did a great job acting!
the video posted so i take it you are still living!!! LOL loved the Grinch, very informative video too!!! thanks for sharing &Merry Christmas to you & your family!!!
Very much so. Preparing to get after in on the 1st. 🙏
The fact that he stepped on his couch and stilling his underwear, he has to go😂😂😂
seal talking about homedefence..... "youre wife is gonna kill me"
so what youre saying .. .for homedefence... we should get his wife to protect our home?
😂 In many cases yes!
This was great...impirtant information and cleverly made...loved it thank you.
My first grab is a 9mm with a light on it. If that can't get it done, you've made a tactical error, not a weaponry error.
“Drop my underwear creep”🤣🤣👌🏼
😂😂😂
I have one of those repeating pistol crossbows, 7 bolt magazine. I attached a light to it, as well. I've practiced with it and I think I'm good enough to use it in case of a home invasion or something like that. I will get a gun eventually, but this will do for now. I also have one of those African spears as well, lol. I figured a stick with a pointy sharp object is a good choice, too.
Outstanding video, sir. Too bad about the drywall. (lol).
Love all your videos and all the useful information
Jas took out the Grinch, don't break into his home and try to steal Christmas!
I was waiting for a speargun with a trident in it. 😂
I see Alex pulled all the stops out on this one.
I've never thought about a spear gun for home defense. Are you serious or joking?
I can't own a firearm and I'm buying a cross bow and a regular bow and a spear gun sounds awesome. Any other comments or suggestions?
Merry Christmas everyone, stay safe everyone , nice kit btw. May lord Jesus Christ Bless ya. 🎉🎉🎉
LOL!!! Awesome! If it were my house I would NOT fix that corner. It’s too much of a funny and memorable moment that I would leave it and if I were ever in a “down” frame of mind, I would just go to that corner to get myself to laugh and remind myself to lighten up, laugh and enjoy life.
The best video yet .... even the wife got into this one and wanted to watch ...which was great cuz that means she was learning too
Outstanding! Thank you. 🙏
Solid video! I run a DBX57. Managed to get a tight setup on it to main it as a bed piece.
Love the Grinch commercial! 😂😂
11:10 I died laughing whenever he put the frog noise in to censor the word sh*t
Ported M&P Performance Center 10mm 180g JHP'S and a pistol grip 870 for me and my family.
Where can I get the flux from?
@@mrmountain2025 I hear the next gen will be Alexa compatible.
My favorite Alexa routine:
"Alexa, battle stations."
Alexa: Plays "Let the bodies hit the floor" on all speakers in the house, and flashes all the lights in the house to red.
Perhaps not the most tactically sound routine, but it makes me giggle anyway. 😉😁
@@Firstfalconfree wow, how did you program it to do that!
@@turn-n-burn1421 Anybody listening to my life will slip into a coma out of sheer boredom.
Do you have an in depth video on how to build that first gun? Looks sick!
Poor drywall! Your self defense skills may be used against you when his wife gets home! Watch out! Merry Christmas Jason!
I don't even know what a dd5v3 is.
But I have the other 2. You ain't playing. Me either. S&W 10mm 2.0 is my EDC.

😂😂 man ! When you heard, "your wife gonna kill me" that big guy is in serious trouble 😅😅 great video man !
Aw man that ending was hilarious. Good points made in the vid

it was funny at the end . hope it didnt cause much damage. great info on home defense. awesome instructor as normal. cant wait till the next one. keep up the work and God bless you and your family..

You can get a semi-automatic shotgun. Ready to fire. The most important thing is to detect the treat outside. You will have time to put a headset and get ready. motion sensors on your driveway and camera allow you to scan around your house without leaving the house
What are your thoughts on a SMG for home defense
i.e. MP5 or Uzi ?
Awesome vid and in the last part I laughed out loud. Thank you!
Thank you!
As an ex-army grunt from the 80's, I'm telling you this guy is a freaking stud!!!!❤ so glad I subbed this channel!!
Great advice for the most part, but you have highly underestimated birdshot in close quarters such as a home. Even #6 high brass lead shot is devastating especially at any distances you’ll engage someone at inside a home.
A Navy Seal talking about defending the house and eliminating possible threats but being scared to death by the cameraman's wife lol
"Off went the safety for Old Saint Nick!"
I personally run a retro AR with a Romeo5 on top the carry handle. It's on the moment I pick up the rifle. It's a very comfortable setup.
Nice 🙏
I just got a 9mm AR pistol for home defense. The suppressor is next!
Happy Holidays!
Nice. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Her little ruger 380 had me crying laughing lol great intro!
Intro and content was great.
Thank you. Alex is killer with the camera and editing. 🙏
For me I use two for defense inside the castle.
1. First choice is the 1911.
2. Single action Colt .45 with 250 gr. Keith Wad cutter. One round in the chest you won't get up. But.. never shoot just once. Stop the threat
Thanks
This was awesome!! 🤣Specially the last part. Thank you. I Use to have Arnis Sticks back in NJ when I lived there. Now It's a handgun here in SA. Thank you again for the content
My whole home, except for the bedroom are motion sensor to come on and stay on for 30 minutes all day and everyday. No shooting in the dark. Our 155 lbs. Cane Corso is the first line of defense.

Max effective range of most handguns is 50ft???.... 50 yards is a widely accepted range.
