I removed the rear end muffler on mine and it started producing a lot of resonance around 2000-3000 rpm... despite the fact that it doesn't sound very nice.
Sounds great! I'm debating doing some exhaust mods on mine. I see it's an OSD car; when did you pick it up? I picked up my '14 S60 T6 RD in late April that year. Looks like you drove the 'Ring... I was told they wouldn't permit cars with the red plates. The lighting in the video is a little flat; I can't tell if that color is Rebel or Power Blue.
I wish i did this instead of muffler delete. Although muffler delete sounds alright. Im doing a borla xs muffler and deleting the resonator then ill be adding a cutout valve.
+Ian Stewart I have the same car and I really like how this sounds. How could I go about doing this, is there a video around that I could watch to learn how to do this?
What the hell is it with Volvo making these incredible sounding engines and then hiding it behind mufflers? That sounds sick
Volvo, the king of sneaky performance😂
Liam Ollen it’s a ford engine 🤭
And now all they make is 4-cylinders 🥴😞
@@CowTypeSh developed by Volvo, made in a Ford factory
@@CowTypeSh Its Volvo engine, not ford
Excelent mod. Enough snarl but not too loud.

Yeah, I removed the mufflers on my T6 S80 and the resonance around there makes a couple interior components rattle that never did before.
@@crazyDave590 I have this issue.
Can these engines be made to low frequency six cylinder idle sound like the whiteblock in the 960?
Sounds great. Any drone at high speeds?!??
so how did you make this system? so between the twin pipe and rear muffler is just a straight pipe? how loud on the highway?

any pics of under car?
great sound :)
Just did a resonator delete, and it sounds nothing like this. Is this catless downpipe too?
Camera makes it sound better then it does in person. I put a ferrita exhaust on it a few months after this cause it was to quiet.
Sounds good actually
This sounds so good!

Any update? Thinking about doing a similar thing. Want to do a resonator delete and get a less restrictive muffler
is there much difference in sound at cruising hwy speed?
Can anyone please tell me what needs doing to get stage 2 remap on my s60 volvo D4 r design diesel
I have removed the resantor and my s60 t6 just remains the same:(
🤣🤣🤣
Do you have any drone, and how does it sound at full throttle?
Honestly, after cold start it sounds the same.
Even from the outside?
@@mattreviewsit4869 slight. Very slight
❤
Where did you buy this exhaust
Nick Valentic i made it
And what year is this
2014
How much did it cost for you to do this?
built it myself. just a flange and a y pipe.

Take it to an exhaust shop. I own a welder and know how to weld so it makes it easier for me to do it.
+Ian Stewart Ok thanks
What muffler is this
It looks like the stock one
Whats the size on those tires
235/40 19 on 19x8.5 wheels.
Transversal 2JZ
🤗👍
Sound like Caynan 987
I just removed my resonator and it's no where near as loud as yours lol
As I said before.... The camera makes it sound way louder then it actually is. Cell phone camera.
So S60's don't have true dual exhausts?
most cars don't.
I figured sport sedans would, though. That's a bit disappointing.
RtDK it's an inline motor so it would need a split manifold in order to have true duals.
He's right only way this car would have true duals was with twin turbo
How would it?
