Space Engineer is like a mixture between Minecraft and Kerbal Space Program.
The main purpose of the game seems to be building a space fleet and fight/ally with the other factions. You build your ships piece by piece and the only know limit for the size of your ship is what you computer can handle.

"OMG its still producing drones, we need to stop this thing" when i first got this on early access, i never thought that would be a statement we'd make it in this game.. especially sitting on a planet.. games came a really long way. made me smile.
And it came an even longer way by now ^^
And even further now as well, it's going amazing

My vote goes to the first one. infinite drone production, it's a very damn good sieging tool and a favorable first drop pod you let out so you can secure a location while making additional deliveries.
I dare you to make a Space Engineers version of the thunder birds intro.

This is when we all realize that the new Thunderbirds are Go series is actually animated entirely using Space Engineers, and a texture overlay to look like CGI puppets.

10:01 I wish that Thunderbird itself had a second door so that when the pod is deployed the ship doesn't have that opening that let's you see the inside of the ship as that can be dangerous

AHHHHHHH I GOT IN...The Little rover that is in the tan pod (Rhino) is remote controlled from the passenger seats. And the drop ship itself is not very good at flying because i rushed its internals :p (also the reason why i assume it needed thruster damage off, surprised it didnt tear itself apart)
It looks great! The mechanism is neat too. That rover reminds me of Arron and Sage's Watcher.

Damn I didn't realize there was a challange like this. I just made a smaller heavy transport using the vector thrust script. would have been awesome to make it work with this. These are cool. Always had a thing for carryalls ever since watching dune as a kid.
I appreciate the review! If you actually play around with my Thunderbird a bit then I would love to hear the feedback. Well I would love feedback on my heavy lifter too but it's really just a bunch of thrusters masquerading as a ship.

id imagine droping one of these in a zone and having the drone factory produce a number of drones and having them annoy a enemy base or even provide a distraction

OK so i haven't played space engineers since they added planets, my pc simply cant handle it anymore, but i am curious about some of the features and content and i have a idea i wonder if its possible to perform...could you design a drone like drop pod carrier, programmed to sit in a hanger and wait till the pod is created and stocked and then go into a wait stage where its next point would be a specific beacon or antenna name, which you would construct on the surface or something...it would then fly down, get within x distance, drop the pod, the antenna/beacon ether manually or somehow automatically shuts off and the pod carrier returns to its home position to be restocked?
i cant even run it on empty, after that update the game performance dropped below the playable line for me...i mean it barely was to begin with so ya...
Did you try again ? Planets update was a long time ago, and meanwhile they did a major optimisation one that really worked out very well ! My PC couldn't run anything and now it can handle a solar system, so if you really didn't play since the planets update, you might want to give another try ;)

you can tell a remote control on your drone to fly near a coordinate/signal. i think its possible.
My laptop wasn’t able to run planets at all when they came out, but since then the optimized the game so now my laptop can actually run it fine

wow the drop pod holding ship, the 3ed thing or the one after your ship reminded me of halo wars why dont people use that to set up on planets like they can drop the different buildings in the bases and then the rest can be build with the materials carried down and that would work with most of the other drop pod holding ships too

well, they have greatly improved pistons and rotors, another set of preformance improvements but nothing big

Big fan here with an idea on hiding in plain sight have you ever thought of turning an asteroid into a actual ship by building into its internal with cams on the outside to pilot by
Robert Flury the problem with that is the way the game is coded. In order to stop roids from spinning off into nowhere if you try to mine them or if you hit them, they are coded as immovable objects and so you can't actually fly them
Just thinking whilst you are on this theme, how about making a Marineville from Stingray with the battlestations and everything?

Can you fill a pod full of ftl's and drop it like a bomb on an enemy base? Or in space deploy it, with a rocket attached, and launch at a massive ship or station?

What do you guys use to hinge the blast door on the pod? I have been using a rotor but find it hard to get it in the middle and it looks poop
Graeme Fisher it's a mod called conveyor hinges I believe. I can't link it at the moment but if you subscribe to his drop pod it will auto link you to the mod
