This is one of those "sleeper" videos. Oh sure, let's learn how to build a quarry type thing. Then you learn about "solar arrays" and what it takes to make a room "air tight." THEN you figure out (on your own) the COST of all of this. Great upload, man. Many thanks for this. 🤜🤛🍻
My first ice miner, I had 12 large cargo containers, filled it up in about 15 seconds. Probably should have set the event controller before running it ;)
remember when i designed and built my first auto-miner on a private server, pre event controllers so it ran on an on/off button that everyone forgot to turn off until it clanged into oblivion. edit: mine mined stone which it used to produce the components required to extend itself so as time went on the drill part got heavier and heavier and even though I had grinders set up to keep weight gain to a minimum eventually the game has enough and you just hear a loud bang and the server freezes for a couple seconds as the biggest thing in the game instantaneously stops existing
I don't want to nitpick. But is there a reason you didn't build it so you could observe the mining operation instead of the solar array? Edit: And by that I mean observing it from the control seat like you're the supervisor of the operation instead of using the wide angle of the overhead camera view. I'm speaking in a more immersive view direction. I'm not trying to ruin your roleplaying experience.
@@JagoDragon : Sir, your designs are great and I definitely wouldn't consider an aesthetic mistake once in a while as being an idiot. Everybody makes mistakes. I was just sitting there wondering if you did it on purpose while I had it full screen and immersing myself in the game play.
Because of this reply, I just spent half my day "rearranging." However, by doing so, I was able to use the ideas and general principles from the video to learn more about the game. So, thanks for this reply, and again, thanks too, @JagoDragon for the upload. 🍻

You and many many others 😆
I guess I missed the one where you built "Cricket Bear". Only two active brain cells. Thanks for the help.
Sorry you missed it

@donaldb.9995 that was meant to be read with a hint of sarcasm. 😆
It was a minor design mistake, but you're correct regardless.
