Thank goodness for this news doctor. I had an MRI for lower back pain and small bilateral renal cysts were seen, and this unnerved me a bit. needless to say. I will follow up with my GP, but this makes me feel better
@gvblk4yt The lymphoma and thyroid issues are unlikely related to the 2 cm renal cyst. If it is a simple renal cyst, it certainly does not need to be biopsied. However, it would be a good idea to get followup imaging, which you will likely do anyway because of the intestinal lymphoma.
Very informative video, I'm only 18 however I've been dealing with L5 pars defects for several years as well as other fractures. I had another CT scan recently and the report also informed me that I had a 3 cm simple cyst on my right kidney. It truly is something that is typically found incidentally.
Thank you for the great explanation! My provider just called me on the phone to tell me that my recent CT scan showed a renal cyst on my right kidney. Originally the CT was to see what may be causing urinary restriction, but that seems to have resolved on its own. However, it may be that I have a blocked ejaculatory duct now. Can a bladder/renal stone migrate to cause a blockage of that duct?
I was diagnosed with Proteinuria 10 months ago. I've had a right renal cyst for 20 years which was 5.5 cm in the largest diameter. The cyst has grown to 7.5 cm and now is a complex cyst. Can this cyst be the root cause of proteinuria? Thanks.
Should I be concern, if my MRI showed I have renal cysts on right kidney? I had the MRI last year for lower back pain, but my Neurological doctor never mentioned the cysts to me, I was reading over my results and that's how I found out. I also have something called, Epidural Lipomatosis. Is any of this serious, bc if it were wouldn't my doctor have told me about these findings?, instead he just told me that, my MRI showed I have Chronic Lower Lumbar problems and that my lower discs show signs of deterioration.
My 2 CM Renal cyst was found on PET Scan I'm a little concerned since that time I have been diagnosed with follicular Lymphoma of the Small Intestine and a differential Papillary /Hurthle Cell Thyroid Disease which has yet to be determined Should I follow up and get a biopsy of the Cysts?? Current doing R-CVP for another 21 weeks 57yr old male
Hi, my doctor picked up about 2 years ago that i have a parapelvic cyst on my right kidney of a size 3.5 by 3.8. Is it to small to be removed? At the moment i get stbbibg pains on my side along with fever.
Para-pelvic cysts do not need to be removed under most every circumstance. If you are having fever and pain, it is likely something else. You should check in with your medical doctor about this...hope you feel better.
I am 26 years old and I recently through an incidental finding as well as with a follow up ultrasound I found out that I may have a possible complex cyst on my kidney. It was recommended that I do a triphasic ct scan to confirm. How can I get in touch with your office to make an appointment so that I can be guided towards my next steps.
I found out about my kidney cyst in 2008 qhixh was small well I recently been in the er for alot of back kidney and stomach pain with lots of urinating and urges to always go they did a ct scan which the cyst has grown to 5cm is it possible that I have to have surgery

hi, can kidney cysts cause high blood pressure and bloody urine?
It would be highly unusual for a renal cyst to cause hypertension or hematuria.
unlikely
Simple renal cysts are typically common and innocuous--any questions, check in with urologist.

If it is a simple cyst, the need for surgery is very unusual.
+Trisha Harper Unlikely, but you should see local urologist for follow-up.
Neither kidney cysts nor stones are responsible for low levels of testosterone.
