I have a type 1 Bosniak cyst that showed up on a CT scan that was to check intestinal bleeding, showed up on the report at the E.R. but they never mentioned it to me.
Same about cyst with the hospital, old primary care doctor and urgent care. I found out by CT by my new primary care doctor. Idk which type I have yet. Trying to get into the kidney doctor.

I was told about 10 yrs ago that I have cysts ON my kidneys. No symptoms, but creatinine was higher than it should be and the diagnosIs was CKD. Was seeing the alleged best nephrologist in town. He was unconcerned and said it was not polycystic kidney disease. A more recent abdominal scan showed the cysts were larger -- one 5 cm. My PCP didn't act on that and I didn't see the report until later. NOBODY followed up. Now I learn that these cysts can be drained. Why did nobody suggest this??? And nobody ever said they could possibly evolve into cancer. Where's the medical care???
usually, draining isn’t recommended…
I have a 10cm cyst. Found after i had a ct scan, since had a ultrasound and now having bloods taken 8:50 Monday morning. Having so many appointments in so little time is making me worry. Usually you have to wait months between appointments.
I have a 10cm cyst as well. It was seen during an ultrasound yesterday. They scheduled me for a CT in about 3 weeks. Needless to mentioned that I'm very worried. Is there any update on the findings of your cyst? Is it a "simple" cyst aka benign or "complex" with septations and calcifications? And did you get a (Bozniak) classification? Thank you and hope everything turned out to be ok for you.

Hello dr, i love the education on renal cyst. I have been having pain to my L kidney and the pain is constant. At the present time ,there is no blood but its measures just under 6 cm in size, my question is would you operate with this limited info am giving you?
What is your pain like ? I’ve had like a burning dull sensation in my left kidney lower rib area.
