Interesting. It sounds good but you can never tell true acoustics in a video. I wonder how your system compares to the Burmester high end systems. You mentioned that your Dad spec'd a Burmester system for his GLC, but that is not the high-end system offered by Burmester (not available on the GLC). It is still a great system. All Mercedes stereo systems are S Tier (the best), but the reason you didn't feel it has the level of bass as the new setup in your C-Class is because...it lacks a sub-woofer. The GLC Burmester system doesn't have subs. It has two bass (woofer) speakers under the front dashboard and the other 11 or 12 speakers are tweeters, mid-range, center channel (also mid-range), and surround speakers (tweeters). If you use fade to put the sound towards the back, you inadvertently cut the ability of the front bass speakers to provide enough bass. Total output of the GLC Burmester system is an impressive 590 to 640 watts. The Burmester high end system had 27 speakers including tweeters, mid-range, woofers, and a subwoofer with its own separate amplifier. Total output was 1540w. The newest system (4D) includes 4 extra speakers in the seats (similar to buttkickers) for a total of 31 speakers and 1720w output. Both systems have the sub-woofer in the left side of the trunk, making the trunk slightly smaller/less utile. That isn't much of an issue unless you option the fridge (like in my new Mercedes-Maybach). Then the trunk space is noticeably reduced. The seats can't fold down since the rear seats are reclining/heated/cooled/massaging seats. So, even taking out the fridge (two screws and a plug) won't significantly increase the carrying capacity of the trunk. When I need more space, I simply use one of the other vehicles. --- Recommendations: 1. Unlike an S or Maybach S, your C-Class has seats that can be folded down for even more trunk space/carrying capacity. As such, the current placement of your subwoofer negates that functionality. Yes, you can remove the sub when you need the space (like I can remove the fridge), but it might be more convenient to have the subs on the side. 2. While the sound seemed clear and crisp inside the car, the bass seemed frazzled...vibrating...when outside. Check to see if the subwoofers are properly sealed...or it might be the vibration caused by the encloser not being secured to the car itself. Since it sits in the trunk, it might be vibrating. If the sub enclosure can be better secured, it might make a noticeable difference. This is also why I recommend placing the subs to the side of the trunk so that you will have easier access to the fold-down seats without having to always remove the subs in case you need more cargo space. Once the sub enclosure is secured, it is even less likely to be taken out. 3. With the GLC, try to boost bass up to max and keep treble and mid-range around 5...and fade closer to zero (neutral). See how the bass effect is then. Yes, you get more bass from the front rather than the rear. Some people prefer it that way, but they are a minority of audiophiles. Most prefer their bass from the back. Fiddle with some fade to get what you feel sounds best. 4. Also, I have found "Mission Impossible" (Tom Cruise movie theme) a great song for testing automobile sound systems. It has an excellent range with powerful bass and strong and distinct mid-range and tremble ranges. Another great song is the Mortal Kombat theme. Just pick any song that is layered with distinct treble, mid-range, and bass. If they are separated within the song, it is even better as it will make it easier to compare as well as calibrate the EQ for optimum sound performance. 5. Oh, it is "BurMESter"...not "BurMIESter". Germans might not be as sensitive as the French with pronunciation, but they do like it better when you say it right. If you are wondering, Maybach is pronounced "My"bach with the "ch" being a sound like lightly clearing your throat and not a strong "k" sound. It is not "may" bak...it is mai bax. --- As an aside, my older S-Class (W222) has a Harmon Kardon system. The premium system was standard and the only system available. My other S-Class is fully loaded (rear reclining seats, etc.) and has a Bang & Olufsen system with incredible Beosound ambient tweeters in the A and B pillars. The sound is impressive and is noticeably better than the older S. I don't remember the exact watts, but it is 1200+. My new Mercedes-Maybach takes it a step further with the high end Burmester system. Weird...3 generations and 3 different audio companies. They are all great systems. Mercedes picks the best.
I’m not sure how much power is going to those but if it’s 300W RMS or less then you won’t hear a thing with it in the trunk as the trunk is super insulated. All you gotta do is fold down the rear seats and place the subs as far back to the trunk lid as possible. Trust me when I tell you this will make a world of a difference.
They sounded great but after it failed twice they tuned it down and it is not as good anymore. I only pick this brand because it sounded great during the demo before buying. If it was gonna be how it is now I would not have spent $1200 and lost trunk space. It’s still better than stock

When it comes to bass you might as well fork out 2 grand or so. You'll want close to a 1000 watt amp and a sub with the RMS rating to handle it. You also want to have the subs in a custom built ported box.

I leave all my bass at -3 or -6 so my highs and mids are clear and my bass hit just right when I turn the radio all the way up
Install an dsp and tune it or get better mids and highs

I believe GLC300 Burmeister is same thing that C300 gets but still it lacks bass but sound quality is really good

No it does control the subwoofer bass as well. The speaker never sounded like that on full bass trust me 😂
