man, you gotta love the eu4 community. the achievement asks you to be russia and emperor of the hre and china, and how do we go about getting it? by starting as a italian opm, of course!

I did it as Saxony as all of the chinaware was in China and Russia was on the way. Forming the HRE with the Mandate of Heaven with Russian culture kind of breaks the game …
This is a great idea - getting the Meissner achievement on the way.
And I agree. This setup is overpowered with the CCR alone, you basically can get 95% CCR and max it out.

What a great idea... I was planning on doing it as a Russian minor getting some of their achievments like odoyev or pskov but this seems much more time effective. I hate border gore and tryharding but want all the achievments. And the Meissner one is very inconvenient.

It still allows you to ignore war exhaustion's effect on ccr if you go over... very useful if you take 300% overextension
900 Hours into the '1000 Hour Tutorial' and I just learned how to culture flip, focus Allies in war and enable divert trade on vassals to become rich. @@StrategySphere Just a note: RNG affects this run -> Russia can form. In your game, CW stopped them completely. Others might not have that luxury.
Love the vid, decided to try and go for it myself. Unfortunately had some of the toughest reformation centre locations, as I was allied with brandenburg and had only just gotten Bohemia as a PU (massively negative opinion) so would get too much of a stab hit/ae to declare(and they had no viable allies to attack), as well as SCOTLAND which kept converting across the sea into Belgium 😅. Think I might chalk it up and restart and maybe give saxony a whirl instead to go for the chinaware mission as the other comment suggested.
Ah yep, the reformation is totally random.
Honestly Saxony could be a better choice for this strategy, good luck!

Keeping Burgundy as PU is good. Burgundy ai as always is quite aggressive in war and has a good economy yo finance a large army. Theres also some way to cheese dutch revolt . If uou keep burgundy as pu there was a way cheese netherlands. somehow fhey release a vassal that other dutch nations join in. I haven't tried this myself but it can happe 😊
This is very interesting. I may try in one of the next games, they also have an interesting mission tree to follow. I also noticed that they really help in wars.

Hey ! Nice guide, since I am trying to get this achievement as Austria. I have a question, when it comes to force convert, does giving your catholic land to your vassals (after revoking the privilegia) make grow their liberty desire ?
Thank you!!! And yes, it does - but very slowly. Their liberty desire is calculated individually vs. your strength, so you’d need to give them a LOT of land for them to become disloyal.

It’s a great country to play. Humble start, but can grow strong super fast.

Did you have to have religious peace in the HRE to keep the emperorship or are you able to change your religion after you have enough centralization reforms?
If you took Revoke the Privilegia reform, you can switch your religion without having religious peace
Yep, exactly. You can do whatever - change religions, cultures, tags etc.

Best way is to do it as Japanese daimyo. Easy mandate. Then you get event to convert to Catholic to become HRE emperor. Then you can just culture convert to Russian

Doing it as sich rada might be fun,you re technically a horse and can form poland fast so you get nice cav,tho I dont think you can get the emperorship as sich rada so you would have to flip.Teutons might be fun too,from prussia then russia the get the mandate.
A sich game is in my waiting list, been wanting for a while.
As for the Teutons, would be a fun game. I’d just make sure to stay Catholic. I tried this after turning Protestant, and by the time I got control or the HRE again and went East, China flipped revolutionary and the Mandate vanished from my game 😂
Bet you wasted a few good hours on that=)).Do you have some guide on how to get from frankfurt to the andes?Tried it a few time but by the time I get the Inca and otomans are too strong or by the time I get Jerusalem Spain or Portugal colonize most of animist provinces or wipe out the Inca.
As for Frankfurt to Andes, I’m now intrigued with that idea, let me see if I can add it to the queue…

Hi! Yes, I would suggest getting your Imperial Authority to 100 and improving relations / reducing aggressive expansion with them. Also max out the Diplo rep.
Even with that, not everyone will join. I usually just kill off those.
I was doing this run for myself and i'm in the last leg, I just need to push east and yoink the mandate, however i noticed my HRE has Catholic as the dominant faith after the War of the protestant league... After i revoke HRE privilage can i switch religion and keep Empire status or do i have to redo the run?
Hey! Yep, after revoking you can change religions freely. In fact, in this run I’m going to switch back to Catholic most likely, it’s just a better in-game religion.

The way to solve religious issues is to start as non-Tengri pagan nation, claim the Mandate, and then converting to catholic/protestant requires only one christian province to take a decision. Maybe it should be done as Ryukyu in The Three Mountains run lul.
I love your Ryukyu idea :) or - as an Aztec for the Sunset Invasion…
i did this as poland, just the the braindead easy mode aspect, didnt even need to be effiicent, just get all your early pus, become emperor win the game.
Poland is massively OP, I agree. But how did you form Russia? The conditions specifically say “is not Poland.”
@@StrategySphere i had to culture shift into a different culture, that was like the only part i had to think about because i had completely forgotten about that aspect and was worried i needed to restart, but i culture shifted and i think i switched to hungarian formed hungary, then was able to shift to an east slavic group and form russia

Hi, yes - if you destroy the actual center (one of the 3), they won’t appear, they’re gone.
As for the reforms (I guess you mean HRE?) I try to max out all the things which would accelerate them.
Doing it as Oirat is FAR more efficient and easier. I had the achievement before 1600.
1. Snake for an animist province in China don't take Mandate or flip yet. Make everything in China only to trade companies.
2. Snake for a catholic province in the Baltic, Scandinavia, Lithuania or Crimea (if Genoa converted one of theirs), all the while getting a lot of Russian culture provinces.
3. Flip to Russian culture and get 4 Electors as vassals. Let Austria realease everything they can to weaken them.
4. Get Mandate of Heaven and flip to animist immidiatly with rebels because they don't need to be a majority.
5. Now flip to Catholicism with the decision that Animism gives you.
6. Wait for Austria to die, their Ruler to die or vassalize them.
7. Form Russia somewhen after you became christian.
I did the run with quantity and humanism and most of it with pure Tengri for 100 % cavalry that is also cheaper than Infantry for Oirats. It is possible to easily speedrun this so that you only have to wait for admin tech 10 so you can actually form Russia. Also no money or monarch point issues because you're a hord with the bank of China next to you.

To be fair, almost anything in this game is more efficient when you start as a horde :)
I was doing a chill approach though, not speed-running.
@@StrategySphere Your approach was definitely more interesting. I think I never played Mantua before, but I probably played Oirat around 50 times. I only opted for a horde run because I didn't want to bother with the Reformation and religion flip was easier.
Also my approach kinda expects someone to already know how to defeat Ming as the Oirats and that initial part might actually be tougher to a lot of people.

I actually agree with you, hordes are for reasonably advanced players who know how to handle that power.
I did it as Frankfurt, switched to Jerusalem, Kongo, Inca and Russia. Four hardest achievements in one run, but i can’t achieve TTM😢
I did TTM as Shogun Ryukyu. A "one tag" (not even a true one tag) just takes too much time for me.

Why "concentrate development as always"? You can actually bring your governing cost down to 1% by;
50% from town hall
20% area-wide from state house
25% from White House
10% from infrastructure idea group

Good video. I m going to use either austria or oirat. Mutua is just too pro for me. Though i m a bit tempted to do it with tver as i never got kinslayer. I lost rurikvich on my ryazan game.

If you start as Tver, you could also get Relentless push East, if you don’t have it yet… I just finally got it as Muscovy :)

you can set a game for the last posssible day of the game at the start and then back to 1444 and then in hre there will be religious peace
Yep, that’s a very old exploit which would permit becoming the HRE emperor directly.
I wanted to make a no-exploit guide though, so didn’t use it :)

Yeah, this bug has now been a while.
I have noticed in recent patch AI seems to have gotten dumber. In my current muscovy campaign, grezt horde was sieging down byzantium (my PU) fort with 11k troops. Meanwhile byzantium army of 14k was standing 2 provinces away. Instead of breaking the siege, it waited for great horde to finish sieging. After the siege was over, that when byzantium attacked the great horde army. Unexpectedly because great horde alredy sieged down the province, byzantium suffered terrain penalty. Like why is the subject AI retarded. Its like that video game meme of boss when you fight them vs when it is a playab o e character. AI is good at economy, building army, developing, carpet sieging and manuvering when it is your enemy. But when it becomes your subject, it turns absolutely retarded.
Haha yes, I can relate to your experience with this. I’ve got a lot of footage of AI being dumb, especially when you really need their help…
@@StrategySphere when subject ai has the advantage they become cowardly. But as soon as they loose those advantage they go le Roy Jenkins and get themselves stack wiped. While non ally/non subject AI is smart as chess AI.
