Great job man!
Keep it up!
Thanks 向井健
, will do!
Lost 8 lbs and strangely enough, my appetite.
Nice, great job Lathan! Did you find eating all those veggies filled you up, hence the loss of appetite?
That or I was just tired of eating them, lol! My biggest takeaway was that I do have the discipline to stick to a diet.
Great video, I have a couple of questions though.
- Protein: how to cook them? Can I safely assume I can stir fry or not?
- Veggies: Do I have boil them? Or eat raw? How about other cooking methods? Can I use seasoning to make it more favorable? How about dressings?
Hey Omar El Gabry,
Thanks for the questions. I suggest reading the full article as Dr. Waterbury addresses your questions and many other details as well.
My take is:
> Protein: how to cook them? Can I safely assume I can stir fry or not?
- The article says you can drizzle the veggies with extra virgin olive oil and/or balsamic vinegar.
- I don't see why you couldn't use a little extra virgin olive oil to stir the protein if you want.
- If you do use extra virgin olive oil or balsamic vinegar I'd suggest measuring it (ie: one teaspoon of oil) to keep it consistent, both for the week and after transitioning to a normal diet.
- One benefit of the veggie fast is to give your organs a break, so you could try grilling or baking the meat without oil and see how you feel.
Veggies: Do I have boil them? Or eat raw? How about other cooking methods? Can I use seasoning to make it more favorable? How about dressings?
- The article recommends you eat the veggies raw as heating them can ruin healthy enzimes.
- For more practical reasons, I like raw veggies cause they're faster to prepare (rinse, cut, and eat)
- Raw veggies also take more time to chew and eat, thus make you feel fuller. Seriously - your jaw will get tired trying to chew threw a decent chunk of raw broccoli.
- Some veggies you just don't like or have trouble digesting raw, in which case feel free to grill, steam, or boil them. For example, I prefer grilled zucchini and mushrooms.
- The article says you can drizzle the veggies with extra virgin olive oil and/or balsamic vinegar. (see previous answer)
