So I played this song at a party last night and some dude told me it was all wrong. Only thing I did a little different was bar chord for the E for the slide back to D and then A. Been playing it that way for a lotta years. I did pick up the licks a lot better after this video. Rock on man!
Love the videos Marty, especially the Skynyrd inspired ones. I might even go as far as to say they're my favorite, before 1977 though. Ronnie's death was a huge setback for southern rock but many people came together to keep his memory alive. I'm getting off track tho, just wanted to say keep the Skynyrd content coming. Rock on Marty 🤘
MARTY😭 I needed to learn this like literally a couple months before u dropped this for a gig, I needed this so bad then😭 thank you still bc now it’s under my belt😎
I absolutely love your channel! I’m just learning how to play and have been learning songs to help me along. You explain things really well. So thanks Marty for making learning fun and knowledgeable! ☮️
I swear this is the 10th time I was looking for a guitar lesson on a song I wanted to play and Marty a day later posts a video on the same song. I’m beginning to think he’s god or just spies on my search history.
Correct attribution is important! This song was written and originally performed by the late great JJ Cale. Various people have covered it including Eric Clapton and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Yes different artists have done different arrangements of it, and this is breaking down the Lynrd Skynyrd arrangement.
Thanks for all your great quality tutorials Marty, you are a great player and a cool teacher. Sorry about the 80's commercial. The 80 were a non event and did more to kill music than anything else - just saying...so on with more fab tutorials on great music from the 1960's and 70's.
ok Marty. been listining to you for a few years. Your not the best player or teacher BUT, you mak it easy to follow/ learn songs. first you grew a beard. that was funny. Then came that goffy hat. also funny. keep it up thanks.
There is no open E after that third fret A, open A, third fret E and THEN back to A. - You played it right but mentioned wrong. Anyways and most important Marty, thanks as always!!! #Blessings
Hi, I’m Marty, look what I can do. Please add tabs. I love you dude but, it sucks trying to learn like this. I know you cater to beginners, which is awesome! Put cover in all the titles or something and add tab

Marty, I’ve been playing for 40 years and this sure beats the old days of playing a cassette back and forth to figure out the chords
So I played this song at a party last night and some dude told me it was all wrong. Only thing I did a little different was bar chord for the E for the slide back to D and then A. Been playing it that way for a lotta years. I did pick up the licks a lot better after this video. Rock on man!

Commenting Flowers on the wall by the statler brothers until you actually make a tutorial (because all the other tutorials on youtube are bad).
Day 21
Nice, would be nicer if it was JJ. Cale
F’in adds in the middle of a tutorial! No more Marty for me!
why does this sound off key?
He's trying to play both parts at once.
Hi, I’m Marty, look what I can do. Please add tabs. I love you dude but, it sucks trying to learn like this. I know you cater to beginners, which is awesome! Put cover in all the titles or something and add tab
And, not to be a jerk, it’s it’s just too slow. Your audience could be larger
Butchered it, some things should just not be taught
Sorry, but this is JJ Cale. Skynard cover ain't bad, but...
