I haven't ventured into 3D printing yet but feel the need to start after watching this! Can I ask, excepting the cost of the printer, how does the cost of producing say the suspension parts compare with the commercially available Tamiya ones? Is there much of a saving? I can see it's 'a must' for making unavailable parts but can you offset the investment of buying a printer and its running costs against substantial savings in parts you can then make??
Hi, It cost about £12.70 for a reel of filament. I printed out the trailer which used about a quarter of it. As for cost in electric, I would not know. I never got any scary bills so it didn't cost much, hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
