I have Neon Roses on my TBR - I was so highly anticipating this one and now of course it’s languishing on my shelves….soon! 🤞 1980s historical? Oooh now I feel old! 😏
I’ve heard really good things about the ministry of time. I have that one already on my TBR, and I also just added cloud Atlas and neon roses. Because I cannot resist anything with multiple timelines or anything said in the 80s.
@@bookbrowsingblog If you haven't read Sea of Tranquility by Emily StJohn Mandel, she uses the same type of structure but it's a way easier and (imo) more absorbing read. I'd read both again, but it did take me a while to get through Cloud Atlas
Have you read This Love by Lotte Jeff's? It's like a queer one day following two characters from uni up to age 30ish and about all the different types of love and queerness there is
I absolutely ADORE the Wayfarer books!! Becky Chambers really has a way of writing a these kind of quiet sci-fi books that really work for me!

The ministry of time was also a five star for me, so fun and intriguing!
Idlewild is on my TBR for this year!
These sound great! I've read cloud atlas and it is hard work, I almost gave up half way through but if you can get past the half way mark it pays off!
That is super helpful to know!! Something about it just feels like it could be a new favourite but it is so intimidating!!

I finished Idlewild recently and gave it 5*!
I’m easily pleased too but some recent reads have just been such a disappointment 😫
Something is in the air this year… but hopefully it picks up for us all!
I haven’t read shuggie Bain yet, but I read young mungo and it is SO good but also like…traumatic
