Paul…the wrecker was definitely showing what she was built for. You guys did a great job with that build, as well as many others you have done. Great content, truly appreciate your videos.
Went in there with the badass wrecker. Dragged them outta there like a boss and did it all while staying down to earth and not acting like a genius. Paul is the man. Hunter did a damn good job 👍🏻. Landon should make his own sub box he’s got the skills!

Why would you bring a family out into country that is as rugged as that. I know they want the kids to see the beauty of this country but I think the dad went just a little bit too far. Good job Paul & Hunter, really professional
Yeah Landon's truck is finally done! Paul and Ben will get that part of the shop back. Grandma Lolly is such a treasure to the Fab Rats crew. That Rat Rod Wrecker got a big challenge pulling that Chevy pickup out of Hogg Canyon with all the loose sand it had to pull the pickup through. Grandpa Sherman would be proud of the new tow truck and it's upgrades.
I so look forward to your videos each week! Fab Rats takes care of the family and people who are in need of a recovery! I'm looking forward to seeing the school bus build, and whatever comes next! Til next time take care and we'll see you on the next...
You guys are the freaking best, loved the DIY sub box 😂. Uncle Ben picking that chip out of his hand was a great reminder of why safety glasses are important, glad Paul put his on to drill the door out. 🤘😎
What I find most interesting is the way all of you recoveryteam/company/family - you, Matt, Rory, Merlin and Chad works together and helps each other when needed. I looks more like one big Happy family the different companies doing the same in that area. And even all of you seems to have lots of works and prosjekts you takes your family and meet the orther rescueers families to have fun, I think, and hope, the next generation will become as good friends and have so much fun that it looks like "The grand old boys" have. To many companies today seems to have more satisfaction when others failure then own success, to see you offroad recovers show real happiness for the other ones make me to believe it still could be a peaceful and friendly future's for the planet called earth 👏👏 Thanks to all of you good hearted rescue angel with big offroad wreckers over there from Norway 🤗
Great editing Michelle! Good recovery story and example of different rigging. Paul, I have a set of timing wrenches for Chevy, Ford, & Mopar I used in the 79's and early 80's for easy access to the distributor lockdown bolts. I will send them, if you can use them.
They are a dime a dozen and not necessary. To be honest I remember him talking about how he had them but never used them. Send them if you want but I don't see you getting a response from Paul on here like your looking for.
Even with comparable tread width singles will almost always preform better off road and in snow I think Rory gets way with it because of Moab’s high percentage of rock and slick rock trails I would be very skeptical a dual would outperformance a single or large single for Paul’s truck and recovery environment
@Doubie Don't get me wrong, the truck is awesome the way it is. I was just curious, I wasn't saying it needed them or anything. I'm sure it will keep up with Rory's truck no problem.
This tow truck turned out great. It is so much fun watching you just walk all around out there where ones got stuck your truck just rolls threw. Yes a lot is the drive but I like that balance your tow truck has. GREAT BUILD AND GREAT JOB HELPING PEOPLE OUT.
What you should do to keep the truck cool, is add a five gallon container to the truck filled with a 75/25 mix of water and rubbing alcohol. Then plumb that to a pump, and then to a spray bar under the top front of the radiator. When the truck is getting hot turn on the pump and spray the water onto the front of the radiator, the fan will suck the water in and cool the engine. I do this setup for all the RVs I have owned, it will knock at least 15 degrees off the engine temp when pulling hard under load up mountain passes.
Good to see Landon getting excited to get his truck! 18:20 Hunter...it looked like you told them to turn the wheels so they went into the trees...? Then hunter does the unbelievable and backs down a hill in neutral between trees and brush...wow, that was impressive man, like coming in on Sunday to help out too!
Yeah I thought the very same thing! Honest mistake I'm sure he was thinking that would help get the rear over where it needed to be but in return stuffed it into the trees. You could hear the owner question what hunter told him to do being he already had the wheels turned correctly. The Fab Rats did an awsome job on the recovery gotta love the gpasherm tow truck such a beast!
