If You Run Away From Losing, You’ve Already Lost

StarCraft 2 and it's 1v1 ladder system has always caused me anxiety, so much so that I only ever play team games. Well it's time to stop hiding from my fears and face them. I have loved StarCraft 2 since it launched, yet I have never given the 1v1 mode the time it deserves. Anxiety, fear and self criticism leads me to not playing, and I would rather be able to enjoy a good game of StarCraft.
So join me as I tackle my fears, and face the StarCraft 2 ladder.

I'm the same way. I mostly get anxiety if its a team PvP game but I still get it if its just 1v1. I've come to accept it, i'm not gonna force myself to play a game and not have fun. I'd rather do co-op and PvE modes in games.
If you want to work on it and overcome that kind of thing then great, you should but you also don't have to because in the end, its just a video game. I also find that in the end its usually a case of thinking its going to be way worse then it actually is, its usually just fine.

It's a badge of honor when someone gets salty and insults you because their ego can't handle losing. I actually laugh when that happens to me on other games. I wish that I was good enough at SC2 to make people rage at me though, lol.

You did good but probably the D3 guy thought you were trolling as a silver leaguer 'cause you're too good for sliver. On the other hand, his APM is only 46, which is definitely on the low side of D3. Probably got there by learning some builds and some luck - but definitely the ability to react/micro/macro faster is a problem for this D3. Funny he criticized your micro

Well his mmr was around gold 1 - plat 3, he probably got placed too high.

@@JN_Sc2 yep, he is 2700 MMR all right. D3 is 3200+ 500 MMR higher like 6 leagues higher or even more.

@@abyrvalg_ Well I mostly agree with you - my personal feeling is that you need at least 80-100 for D3 - but some people say they get to Masters with 100 APM so I assume some could do D3 with 46.
