If I could, I would train everywhere too, Chantal :-) I'm quite excited about the rumours of a resurrected Wellington-Auckland overnight train. Like, back in the day when I grew up and the main trunk line had regular, multi-daily services. The Ghan is my 'bucket list' train trip, period.
Oh my goodness, I hope the rumours come true, an overnight train would be amazing 👏 Just googled the Ghan and wow!! We’ll be adding that to our bucket list too 🙏🤗
Chocolate choc chip cookies and coffee x4 is the best brekki for this train trip😋😋😂. Luv the pies, paused the video and went to Woollies, got me 2 pies🤣Coffee and custard donuts 😋🤭Heavenly!! I just love these food trips. Every time you make a video I gain about a kilo 🤣👍 Happy Anniversary Chantz and Craig🤗🙏🙏May God Bless and Prosper you always🙏 Thanks for sharing another awesome foody getaway with us.
Happy Anniversary! 🎉🍾 What a beautiful vlog💖👍. And what an amazing way to celebrate your special day! I always love your energy, Chantal, and it’s such a joy to see you both, beautiful couple. Glad that Craig had the chance to run. 👍Lots of love to you both💖💖💖.
Our home town! Hamilton is lovely - there’s a bunch of amazing nature to explore. You’ll have to bring Craig back during Spring or Summer for a real view of the gardens. And then down to Hobbiton!
Happy Anniversary to you guys - we have just done 49 years together and hope the same for you. I think you guys are convincing me to a trip up north. I think that was your first loo review Chaz🙂
Definitely a great experience! But I can see why people are not using it regularly. The slow journey time. The seating around tables does not suit everyone. However, for someone traveling to Auckland airport from Hamilton it would make sense. There are excellent electric buses from Puhinui station to Auckland airport. They run every ten minutes & only take about ten minutes to the airport.
Thanks for that! I have an appointment in Hamilton on Tuesday morning, so it looks like it's going to be Made for lunch and the gardens in the afternoon. You've sorted my day perfectly!!
Love the video guys, such a great review of Te Huia and Hams! Must say though that, as a Hamiltonian, we rarely use the train for regular trips to Auckland/the airport - mainly for the same reasons you mentioned, but it's also really expensive and takes way longer than 1) just driving to papakura; parking for free and using AT lines to get into the city OR 2) driving into the city and parking somewhere in the cbd (max cost is usually $24)...still not cheap, but much more cost effective than the trainlines unfortunately :( It's an experience, though, and a must-do at least once if you're living in the North! Super keen to see your Raglan adventure🎉
@@BeingBedingfield now they need to make a train line to Whangarei !!! i really like how you make the most of things. despite the cold winter. bring on spring and summer 🙌 thanks for a good watch you two!!
I’ve actually taken the Shosholoza overnight train from Durban to Joburg a couple times 😅 but that was quite some time ago! It would be so great to have safe reliable trains in SA 😢
good service compare to when I lived but NZ is still behind on intercity service. Hamilton should be connected with a more frequent service every day. intercity monopole of the Bus must stop as expensive and not reliable. lot of potential but lack of politic action with the exception of Auckland
But how do you get to the Strand station other than from Wellington or Hamilton? All trains from Britomart just pass by it without stopping there. Such nonsense. When will the Kiwis ever take their Auckland Metro seriously?
We’re still in our place in Auckland 😊 Oh my goodness, Melbourne, we keep talking about it Shaun 😅 hope you guys are still enjoying it, might be time for a catchup again!
@BeingBedingfield We would love a catch up... We will keep bringing it up until you come around. This city will suit you two very well. We would love to see your reactions.

Aw, happy anniversary to you guys too 🎉
Haha, I think you’re right, might make loo reviews a regular feature from now on 😂

It's definitely an experience, wish they had a train down to Hamilton on a Saturday morning, would be such a cool outing!

Volare is my favourite and their sausage rolls are the best
Yeah, they're amazing!
what an awesome lil getaway 🙌
Thanks for watching Vinnie ☺️ yes, we really enjoyed being able to take a train to go on a weekend away 🤗

Have you guys done Motat in Western Springs yet? It's a great day out: I'm sure you guys would love it. Motat = Museum Of Transport And Technology.
Yes, we went to their Christmas lights in December. It was really cool!
Over night train trips in Australia...? Southern Cross Station can be a great start or finishing point😉
Sounds like a plan 😅
I heard that they’re charging to enter the Hamilton Gardens 20 bucks coming soon. That’s a bummer.
Yeah, from next month. It’s a bummer, but worth it 🤗
Is it always cold? ; I notice you are usually dressing warm on your videos. 😅. Oh and Happy anniversary ❤.
Thank you so much 💕
Yeah, it’s been pretty cold this winter, but not as bad as last year 😅
you pronounce te reo really well.
Aw, thanks so much 🙏
Can you imagine catching a train in South Africa?

Waiting for my girlfriend to come home so we can watch this together!😁
🤗🤗 hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!
How much you train to Hamilton
But how do you get to the Strand station other than from Wellington or Hamilton? All trains from Britomart just pass by it without stopping there. Such nonsense. When will the Kiwis ever take their Auckland Metro seriously?
It’s about 91 dollars to Hamilton
Have you guys moved from Auckland? You said "when we lived in Auckland"?
No, we’re still in Auckland :) sorry, I think our audio was a bit unclear, I said we got our bee cards when we lived in Northland 😊
So this is not northern express?
No, this is the Te Huia train that runs between Auckland and Hamilton :)
🤯 Are you no longer in Auckland. Where are you now?
And, when are you visiting in Melbourne?
We’re still in our place in Auckland 😊
Oh my goodness, Melbourne, we keep talking about it Shaun 😅 hope you guys are still enjoying it, might be time for a catchup again!

Ah really
At really
Is it ? Just 20 bucks by using that bee card
Yes, $21.60 if you have a bee card. And a bee card is $5.
There are plans to stop funding this train from next year
Ah no! :(
