I loved the gardens when I was a kid, growing up in Hamilton. Some of the newer ones like the Egyptian and Surrealist gardens were still under construction last time I went, and I lost the chance to see them before I moved to Tauranga for a job (like, the month after this video was posted), so thanks for showing them. :)
We love our Hamilton Gardens. World reknowned. I studied there as a florist & horticulturist. An awesome classroom. My oldest daughter was married in the English garden. Safe travels guys.😁👍 🙏❤
I read an article about the Egyptian garden when it opened last year. They talked to the person who painted all the Hieroglyphics and, he said himself that it felt quite strange painting them in such clear and vibrant colours but apparently that's how they would have looked 4000 years ago. It probably looks a bit strange to us since we are used to seeing them after 4000 years of wear and tear.
Lots of German retirees love to settle in the South of the Irish Republic,Counties Cork and Waterford.Remember in the Dark Ages Irish monks and priests brought the knowledge of the ancients into the then barbaric German and Swiss regions.Anyway they all love a beer!
I went three months ago in February 2024. It's still free. I was in awe most of the time I was there. Three hours was not enough time to see it all but my feet were hurting so there was so much I missed.
It costs local Hamilton rate payers 1-2 million dollars to maintain the gardens. As of 2024 they are going to charge $20 entry to enter the world gardens. But the park is still free. In that round concrete foyer area as you enter the gardens there use to be classical musicians practising their instruments regularly. A few years ago a tornado went through the gardens and demolished many large trees.
wow didn't know this fact, wish we included this in the video about the history too! damn wish we did a bit of research about it but wasn't expecting to hear it got hit by a tornado!!?? :0
@@GlenAndMado it stood out for me because NZ doesn’t get tornados (yeah right). I just googled, It was 2005 which seems right. I remember driving pass and seeing all the mature trees lying flat on the ground.
My brother got married in the Italian gardens. A few others from my work have also gotten married in there as well. Can’t tell you what garden as i obviously wasn’t invited. It’s a big group of people that work there so only a few got invites
What a beautiful atmosphere now I am sacrifice that time 2008 I had a good opportunity settle down New Zealand because I have a European atmosphere I'm not think about this kind of beautiful your video clip what I'm sacrificed what time did 15 years ago best opportunity forget nevermind you are publicate thank you so much publicate video clip around New Zealand
Mado goes on about how its amazing that its Free entry... don't you worry its soon to not be free to non hamilton residents. Meaning if you don't live in hamilton you'll have to pay an entry Fee. The city counsel is thinking of making the Fee up to $20 per person. And tho people in hamilton dont agree that there should be a fee, i on other hand think its a good idea.
Can you tell me why you went to New Zealand? What did you like about their people, their culture, their weather, their beauty, or did you go just for an experiment?!
its such a beautiful country full of amazing landscapes and diversity. the people are really nice and have a very cool vibe especially the farmers. the weather has definitely treated us very well so far even though its winter! its so peaceful here. we basically just wanted to live here for a few months and live like a local as we want to fully explore the country.
@@GlenAndMado Yes, the country of New Zealand is a beautiful country, the country is oceano, seventy-two percent of New Zealanders are like Europeans, Caucasian people! I think 12 percent of the Asians make up the organization, but I like Australia from every point of view!!
Yes Hamilton Garden is so beautiful and im living just 3 km from garden
I visited here every week ❤
One of the best city gardens in the world!!!!
it is definitely one of a kind! :)

Have you been to Matamata / Hobbiton yet? The Hobbiton tour is excellent, but not cheap. Worth doing though, if you like the LOTR books.
Pleased you made it to the Hamilton gardens 🌺🌺
yeah was very pleasant! :)
Out Standing View
Outstanding View 😊

Starting to charge NZ$20 now, if you are from outside Hamilton. Worth every cent.

The Egyptian garden is based on the archeological sites of ancient Egypt

I mean of course it’s good for maintaining the place but the price seems abit high, i think 10nzd would be a more reasonable price.

Yes $10 would be much better, but NZ love to make money any way they can, especially from the tourist trade, greedy blighters.
your ticket will turn up at the rental company office and guess what they will charge your credit card in 3 months time
5:13 Oh look you visited the Mosquito farm.
Aslamoaleekom Good morning long life in Sha allah beautiful family God bless ❤️
Welcome to sleepy land hehehe😴😴😴honestly

Whitemen are leaving Hamilton, only Maori are remaining and Asians immigriates coming here.
I can only hope all the racists are leaving as well
You should turn up at my work and tell all the white guys to leave then. According to you they should have left Hamilton by now
Keep imagining buddy. We just live in all the rich areas (probably according to your mind).
