The isles are doing good because they finally got a coach with a system, Tavares would have just made this team better. The guy did take less money to chase a dream of his..not sure why everybody hates him for it..

Then to continue to say it afterwards up until the last minute and then change his mind is why. It is not that he left, it is HOW he left. That being said, I would never wish bad on him, when he got hurt in the 1st round, the Isles fans unanimously felt bad for him.

The longer the Isle's stay in the playoffs the more it disturbs Leaf fans. 3 seasons without John Tavares they went to 2nd Rd 2019 after beating the Pens 4-0...then lost Conference final 4-2 in 2020 to the Cup Champs from Tampa - and so far 2021 tied at 2 games in the 2nd round after beating the Pens 4-2. Leafs with Tavares 2019 lost 1rst Rd- 2020 missed playoffs ( lost "play to get in series") and 2021 lost in 1rst Rd. And remember ,Toronto went with Kyle Dubas as GM over Lou Lamoriello...GO ISLES GO !
As soon as Tavares signed with Toronto,the fans were saying Lord Stanley was theres.. It’s been 3yrs. We don’t even think about him. More successful without him.

I thought spearing was a game misconduct or any stick to the balls was an automatic match penalty. Kinda messed up it isn’t. But also, ref has to call the cross checks so the retaliation doesn’t happen. Refs are awful at calling the first incident and only call the revenge. Will lead to more injuries and inconsistent calls, just like how it is now.
