How To Change Fog Light Bulb To LED VW Golf MK6

- In this video i will be teaching you how to change your old orange looking halogen fog bulbs to a more brighter white light LED, which will also last longer too. These bulbs do cause a bulb out error but it doesn't bother me too much as the onboard canbus works fine which means the lights dont flicker at all only thing is the error stays on but that is fine it doesn't bother me.
Yellow fog lights are better for fogs but using a much higher power white LED fog will work better through fog. The stock halogen fog bulbs are 51w, and the new LED bulbs are 75w which makes them more powerful and helpful in fog situations and also they give the car a modern look.

@@K.M925 haha i know that, but its still better in fog than the stock yellow one as they a lot brighter, the only thing better than this is yellow led fog light that would be perfect

when i put headlights on only left cornering light is lit but the bulb in the right one is ok but not on as if theres no power at it
Are you sure the bulb is good?, and check if the outer casing is condensed or anything as they tend to kill bulbs and electricals

how did you get one foglight on and then the other seperately?
Oh its called cornering lights, so turn wheel to left or indicate left at low speed the left fog light comes on as a cornering light, same with right side do the same on right side and right side does that, if yours dont work it just needs activating in coding simple tick box haha, and maybe in settings as well on the driver display mfd

@@MrWaheedulHaque Thank you so much for the answer! Do you know any LED that do not shows the error on the dashboard screen? Like you showed in your video, I don't want to decode it to hide the error if its possible to get the HB4 in LED of course.
@@GH05TM44N im not sure but most will give error you just need to buy a set of canbus resistors for the fog lights its plug and play and wont give error then

I paid £17, its on sale i think on amazon, i have left link in description, and damn didnt know the 100w trips the fuse good thing i didnt buy that haha, 75w did well for me i was thinking of getting 100w i guess its good i didnt haha.
@@MrWaheedulHaque yep didn't want bust my electrics more headache so I've got them sitting at home can't use lol also I changed my main and dipped, dipped ones coming up canbus, so on dash everytime, changed my interiors and boot lights they OK go off now n then boot one does,. Number plate lights r fine changed them all to led just fog lights left

@@Riz1786 mine is same 51w hb4 9006, the 75w led fogs i used in this video will work fine in your car, led use less power than halogens so being rated at 75w it will cause no issues apart from error on dash

@@MrWaheedulHaque leds are not supposed to be put inside a reflector fronts lights and it does not focus light right as its not intended use. Only for ofroad use leds are good. In trafic they blind others. Bixenon is a lot better head lamps anyways
This is not correct, most new led bulbs are very focused and have good cut off line. I show it on my led videos, and if you adjust your light downwards they don't cause any glare at all. Its just people who set them up incorrectly who cause glare
But it cannot pass the MOT. 🤔
As the beam pattern is normal and straight it passes mot, the ones in this video wont pass as they are bad bulbs they more fog light type bulb than anything, but the proper led low beam bulbs i have on another video they pass easily as beam is very good

No it is fog light, sidelight is the tiny light at the top in headlights, i have made a video on that too
