Great advice thank you. IMO it all comes down to knowing your worth and DO NOT accept being messed around, by anyone. If they want to be in your life they will be, if not, welcome them to leave freely. Plenty people out there that will definitely appreciate you.

Having been on / off for a long while, my ex (who I suspect is a fearful avoidant type) and I started to reconnect late last year. Up to then I’d always been available and was hoping we’d reconcile.
Then when she unexpectedly rang to tell me she really liked me but her hot & cold behaviour must be confusing I told her it was. I was still attracted to her but would appreciate the chance to talk. We’ve barely spoken since, and that was the first time I’d put any sort of condition on us getting back together. And when we did speak it was to te me I’d missed the boat and ahe was fed up making all the running (despite my keeping channels open during the off periods).
I’m guessing, as much as it pains me, she was probably a narcissist as well as fearful. Being accessible doesn’t always work if they really want you to be available.

The same day (last week) that I mentioned getting the new GF a key to my place I began getting the silent treatment.
I removed the challenge of being around me and she nearly instantly pulled back.
I really screwed up.
