The Dresden Dolls are an American musical duo from Boston, Massachusetts. Formed in 2000, the group consists of Amanda Palmer (vocals, piano, harmonica, ukulele) and Brian Viglione (drums, percussion, guitar, bass guitar, vocals). The two describe their style as "Brechtian punk cabaret", a phrase invented by Palmer because she was "terrified" that the press would invent a name that "would involve the word gothic".

Realizing in this moment how amazingly waterproof AFP's makeup must be for her eyebrows to stay on. The playing is always amazing, but I'd never really thought about exactly how impressive the makeup is before. Stage lights + amazingly vigorous playing would put a lot of 'water proof' products to the test.

@@megalunalexi5601 If you can play an instrument somewhat decently (for example, you know the basic chords on piano or guitar), I'd suggest you start playing around with that instrument and start composing on your own. You don't really need to know a lot of music theory to compose simple songs! Just look for basic chords progressions and start from there; add some lyrics and you'll have a great little song in no time.
