Speaking as the owner of a TS-PC racer. I agree with you and SRG. If I had known more about the different wheel sets available when I got into sim racing ,I would have went with Fanatec. The TS-PC feels a lot better and more responsive than the G29 I had previously. although after trying a CSL Elite with the load cell pedals. I instantly realised my mistake in going with thrustmaster. Although i will be sticking with the TS_PC until Fanatec release their direct drive wheel before thinking of changing my set up. Also great channel you have there.
Even three years after publishing this is still a very good review! Recently I swapped from a Logitech g29 to a Thrustmaster T300 GT. I considered a Cls Elite (but was above my budget). For now my conclusion is that de t300 GT is smoother and better than the g29. And when I can afford a Cls Elite, I will save some more money for the brake mod, thanks to you!
Great comparison video. I have the Fanatec CSL Elite wheel and CSL Elite pedals with load cell, and I love them. I had a Logitech G29 w/pedals and shifter. This was a big step up for me. I would love to get a formula rim for my base.
Fanatec makes amazing wheels and pedals. I have had a Fanatec CSR Elite wheel and pedals for 10 years now, and it they still work perfectly. On AMS2, the feedback is so smooth that I have decided not to upgrade at this time. Thanks for the review!
To be honest after a 2019 update from thrustmaster for T-GT and after some ffb tweaks in assetto corsa's content manager I just have to say that for first time I'm enjoying my wheel in pc based sims. It feels accurate and strong/smooth + different feeling on every different car I use. ACC comes with a very great driver for this wheel too. So amazed
TGR Galli that’s because (although I watch sim girl occasionally) I find she cherry picks the facts and delivers basically highlights from far more comprehensive vids::: probably why her vids are a few weeks later than others,, even the same expressions ,,, All good though,, charming girl and a good précis other informative facts,, 10/10 🤪
Anyone who spends $800 for the GT wheel is a fool. Fanatec products are superb and work with more than 1 game on PC and console. Getting the load cell brake with fanatec will change your driving more than the wheels will. Get the Fanatec set simracingirl used in the video. Much better value for money.
Pezby69 The Thrustmaster wheel also works on pc and other games. Only the 2 buttons don't work. You should listen carefully. But I would also go for the Fanatec wheel.
I was referring more to the rumble thing on the back of thrustmaster wheel base, i should have been more clear on that. But thanks for the headsup re-buttons, not that i would buy the wheel, but good to know nonetheless.
I bought Tgt at 600. For that price point I think it is the best wheel for GT sport. Hopefully the t dfb feature will be supported by other games in the future.
The only thing Thrustmaster has going for them is a few Sparco branded wheels. I can’t believe how much they want for that this thing. Fanatec is gonna really stomp Thrustmaster when they release the Podium Series DDs.
This review is fantastic! Love the details like wheel smoothness, materials quality, and differences in the quick release systems. It’s hard to find reviewers with an eye for the little things.
zdrajak g27 is the same shot as the g29 crap. I used a g27 for about 2 months and got a t300rs when it first came out and religiously played only on iRacing for a good year and then got into rfactor 2
The T-GT is an absurd product. For every game but GT Sport it’s only marginally better than a T300 you can get for $300. The pedals are pathetic for their price point, and having plastic trim on the actual wheel face at $800 is unacceptable. For the PlayStation, the only sensible options are T300, G29, and CSL Elite.
I have a T300RS and I think it's time to try Fanatic. I play a lot of GT sport, but it's very clear how good the quality is with the CSL. The T-GT doesn't seem much of a step over the T300 in my opinion. Good video.
This is a very fair review. I have a thrustmaster system and I love it but it isn't without its faults. She has an excellent point about the wheel rims release system and the thrustmaster wheel bases are so bulky which makes it difficult for people who like to have the wheel setup so it looks like it's mounted to the dashboard of the car you're driving.
Good video, very helpful with my decision between the both. I was very close to buying the TGT until I watched this. I decided to go with the csl ps4 and the clubsport 3.0 pedals which cost me the same as the TGT. No brainer there.
I’m using Thrustmaster T-GT +sparco wheel + shifter + TSS handbreak And I have fanatic too , but I prefer play on T-gt it feels smoother on project cars 2 and gts and Ac I like T-gt more then fanatic on drift
Thr cogging with the thrustmaster is misleading. You don't get those big steps while the ffb is running. I have an OpenSim Wheel that does the same thing when it's off because of it's Mige motor with 8 steps but this does not have an impact during gameplay. I don't think it's fair that reviewers mention the out of game cogging as a con when it doesn't impact actual gameplay. Despite both wheels having around the same power, the Thrustmaster offers a more realistic rubbery feel whereas the Fanatec feels a too light feel as if it has too little friction. There is no rubber feel despite similiar power.
I mean, what did the guys of thrustmaster/guillemot actually think/smoke when they brainstormed about product features and market placement for the first time: "Let's make a wheel for GT Sport solely and we price it at 800euro as all GT-sport players are hardcore sim-racers who are willing to spend that kind of money!" Just 28cm-rim and t3pa is not attracting any hardcore sim racer. They didn't even include t3pa pros, but just the standard ones...stingy or greedy. Whatever you prefer thrustmaster!
They were taking the same drugs, Logitech took, when they released their shitty old-tech G29 for over 500€. I really wish, Fanatec would have released their new CSL Elite set one year earlier. I wouldn't have wasted my money on a T300RS + Leather Rim then.
SimRacingGirl you were sooo clear with the comparision, even for me, with my lower level of english haha! Thanks so much for the video! Im gonna buy the CSL ;) Kisses from Argentina
SimRacingBoy would approve of this review :) Good review SRG, I still have a DFGT but use the CSL Elite Pedals w/loadcell and look forward to getting their wheelbase/wheel.
The CSL elite went out of stock the day I saved enough ( to make room for the new one ) and apparently the T-GT was already discontinued, I only started sim racing about a year ago. I ended up with the T300, and the T-LCM pedals, witch I'm very happy with, ( I also have the TH8A shifter, and a home made cockpit ) but this was very helpful in what would have been my dicision.
Great comparison! While the new T-GT looks nice I do not regret getting rid of my thrustmaster wheels for a Clubsport setup. It was a major step up in quality.
Hello SRG I'm very new to racing, still waiting on a deal for my first wheel and pedals I have chosen the Fanatec CSL Elite, just wanted to say I very much enjoy your videos thanks for the work you put into them...
Fantastic review. I especially liked the smoothness demonstration with the Thrustmaster, as it is often hard to tell in review videos exactly how smooth the wheel is. In the end, it seems like the Thrustmaster is more of a $350 bundle than a $800 one.
As usual a great review from SRG. I recomend a very easy solution to the trustmasters lack of a powerbutton. I use a power extension caple with a powerbutton on for my T300 wheel, sitting right next to my wheel, wich not only solves the problem, but actuallly cuts ALL the power off the wheel instead of only setting the wheel on a standby mode wich the fanatec powerbutton does.
Thank you for your review. I'm jumping into the sim racing. I currently have a ps2 driving force pro by Logitech. But considering upgrading. I'd like to do some fast lap times around laguna and willow springs circuits. Also looking to learning drifting.
I made the right choice. Bought the CS V3 Pedals instead of the CSL ones too. I love it. Best wheel setup I've ever owned. I just find it annoying that GT Sport doesn't officially support it.
Thanks for this great comparison. Of course the trophy goes to the Fanatec wheel. We have to wait how the CSL Elite wheel will work with GT sport as soon as it is fully supported in the game. Based on the official statement on the Fanatec homepage/blog Polyphony Digital will implement the wheel support latest till the end of this year. We will see... And like you mentioned already the price of the T-GT is unreasonable.
T-GT is insanely priced for what it includes, and it's rim is ugly. It makes the Fanatec equipment look like a steal. I'd love to know more about your vinyl collection. What genre's do you collect? I only just noticed it this video.
Great comparison and I definitely noticed those cogging effects when I used a tspc which has similar design and same motor. and that deterred me from investing in the TGT
Fanatec CSL Elite FOR THE WIN!!! She is laying out the truth for all you sim racers looking to upgrade. I second her vote. I am more than satisfied with my CSL Elite PS4 gear. I have been using it on Xbox1 in Forza 7. But I just rented GTSport from Redbox. So I will download the new firmware and give it a shot on PS4. I think Trustmaster products are awful and overpriced!
I was tussling between the T-GT or the Elite was buying used so were similar price. I went for the csl Elite for reliability and functionality. But it seems it was the right choice after this video it is just a more superior product
so basically the T-GT is much more expensive as like the T300 series, but it's not that much better. My biggest problem is actually the space to put the whole set-up xD And starting from scratch, this would cost a lot, cause you should get a decent seat with base etc, to hard mount it on.
Great video. This is a "no brainer" at a similar price point the Fanatic wheel and pedal base is head and shoulders above the Thrustmaster wheel and pedal base. Thrustmaster completely blew their chance to compete with Fanatic's far superior entry point wheel and petal setup. In my opinion Thrustmaster should have put their money into a load cell brake instead of the vibrator on the wheelbase. I have a TM wheelbase and their T3PA Pro petal set with a load cell mod on the brake but I would love to upgrade to the Fanatic wheel and petals as soon as possible because they are just far superior but mainly because of the adjustable load cell brake petal.
First of all, I want to apologize for saying that this channel is not much more than a vesaro/fanatec ad. I am sorry and this is a very, very good comparision video / review! I am resubscribing and hope for more direct comparison videos.
Must admit that i was a bit disappointed with the sleave over the wheel connection on the thrustmaster aswell. Having to put a metal screw through a plastic bit is never an ideal connection system. Tho i would strongly recommend mounting your base securely to a table or your racing rig to do this and not try to get the screw in straight while the base is just losely laying around on the table. Its far from an ideal system but if you act accordingly, knowing its a weak spot and handle it with extra care, dubble check your angle it shouldn't give you any issues.
Thanks for putting this video together. I just got the CSL for the PS4 and I previously used the T300rs. I am wondering if something is wrong - is the csl supposed to make a loud knocking noise when you drive over rumble strips or grass? Also, with FFB on max , the t300 is still more powerful - is this normal ? Thx
two great wheel, we are at very high level of quality. It's hard to say which one is better, at this point the difference is " Which one do you like more"? And you get it.
Very well done comparison! Have the Fanatec CSL Elite PS4 for a couple of days now... and i must say the smoothness and strength surprises me.. love it!! Besides that, when does your cat the first review? :)
Good informative comparison. The CSL Elite is also my pick in this price range.
amstudio by the way i like your channel and tuto's too

BRAVO!! Now that's what a comparison video should look like. Some of those bigger channels could learn a thing or 2 from you.

Absolutely, you would have to have rocks in your head to go with the TGT set over the CSL Package shown here! And its cheaper.

Perfect review. You told me all the important information without any silly hype.
Plus your cat told me which the aim for!
you star... been searching for days for a video like this.
I love the way you say 'asetto corsa'! :D
mixed accents :)
Me too!!
4:55 what about *Ghan* Turismo Sport? ;^)
it is also nice :)
It is a French accent isn't it? It must be.
Nice job ! Next episode can we find out if the IKEA kallax shelf can take even more wheel boxes ? I think you are almost at max capacity there.
No, the next episode is a wheel review from a cat's point of view ;-)
ha Lad
🤔 And, do they sell the kallax in white? 🙄
Really great review and super helpful, decided to go with the Fanatec, many thanks.
Thrustmaster pulled a Logitech with their T-GT.
Overpriced old technology, while there's a much better product for less money.
Exactly.
They Made The g29 to be on The ps4
The secret yeah but basically copied the G27 with PS4 compatibly
zdrajak g27 is the same shot as the g29 crap. I used a g27 for about 2 months and got a t300rs when it first came out and religiously played only on iRacing for a good year and then got into rfactor 2

I love how your cat is always trying to get some camera time.
Thanks for the comparison review, ended up going with the Fanatec CSL Elite wheel with pedals (and load cell) and shifter, love it, thanks again

i got one second hand . it came with the playseat . paid 200 for the t-gt . :)
Considered a tgt as an upgrade in the long run... Now I won't seeing it's really close to a t300 already. I'll keep my wheelbase and wheels then
Very nice review. Well narrated and demonstrated. Plus you're very easy on the eyes.
The test i been waiting for agessss.. Thank you
Personally I would avoid the GT Sport wheel just because of all its single game exclusive features. I would never buy a wheel for a single game.
LogiForce86 you can use it in other games
z2h2turbo except the buttkicker in it and the 4 knobs are only for GT sport
Very good point!
@@timi_lehtonen yes you can but the wheel is geared more towards that particular game
Great review. Enjoyed this a lot.
Thanks for solidifying my wheel choice! Very informative review! Keep up the great work. Will definitely opt for the CSL Elite.
Priceless how the cat shows up while talking about the pedals. Good review SimRacingGirl.
What an informative and clear review. Thanks a lot for clarifying for me!
Great detailed overview and comparison! I think anyone on the fence between the two wheels bundles should watch this.
I have a T300RS and I think it's time to try Fanatic. I play a lot of GT sport, but it's very clear how good the quality is with the CSL. The T-GT doesn't seem much of a step over the T300 in my opinion. Good video.
Thanks for the great comparison. I thing you have clarify the main aspects for each set in a very clear and objective way. Good job :-)
Really good and comprehensive comparison, with really god rhythm/flow to the video. It was not boring even though it was very informative. Nice.
This is a very fair review. I have a thrustmaster system and I love it but it isn't without its faults. I really enjoyed the way you reviewed both products. Good one!
Nice review, thanks for the great channel and hard work!
very nice review! high in detail and very well explained to all pro and cons
When you say that rotary buttons only work with GT Sports I assume that you talk about console games, because I use them in iRacing without problems.
The CSL Elite is my choice thank you for the in-depth review because it has the option for a handbrake and the loadcell, thank you.
J'adore tes reviews!! Ca m'aide à me décider où je vais mettre l'argent si durement gagné!

Great comparison. My thoughs exactly. Love my csl elite, but all cons are for the rim. But with F1 rim there is no cons for me.
which wheel set comes with the fancy cat? Cause to me, that's the deciding factor.
Wow didn't have a clue this all even existed, Nice collection
Very good review i was a little confused about those two wheel but now know fanatic is a good choice.

New subscriber,I really liked your review.
Great information about items, She brought the point about not saying um... i lost count after 83 ums and uhs.. lol
so basically the T-GT is much more expensive as like the T300 series, but it's not that much better. My biggest problem is actually the space to put the whole set-up xD And starting from scratch, this would cost a lot, cause you should get a decent seat with base etc, to hard mount it on.
I'm still happy with my 3 year old t300rs set up. Will get thr fanatec soon though
Nice Valentino Rossi helmet on the wall. I love that helmet
I quit looking at the video after the first 'euh'.......lol.
What a lengthy but in depth review. Nice one once more.
Loved this video! Thank you
Nice review
You can add a handbrake (like Thrustmasters/SPARCO one) to the T-GT using the Thrustmasters sim hub ... 😉👍

Very nice review and a true winner the CSL is! ... the TM isn't bad but way way overpriced for what you get, especialy the brakes. Tnx
Thanks for putting this video together. I just got the CSL for the PS4 and I previously used the T300rs. I am wondering if something is wrong - is the csl supposed to make a loud knocking noise when you drive over rumble strips or grass? two great wheel, we are at very high level of quality. It's hard to say which one is better, at this point the difference is " Which one do you like more"? And you get it.
Hi dear , two question . Does that F1like rim of fanatec works on PS4 ? Also is the base the same for both fanatec wheels ? Regards from London
Very well done comparison!
Have the Fanatec CSL Elite PS4 for a couple of days now... and i must say the smoothness and strength surprises me.. love it!!
Besides that, when does your cat the first review? :)
