Tie A BETTER Hare’s Ear Nymph!
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 14 ม.ค. 2024
- Here I share my preferred method of tying the Hare's Ear Nymph, a pattern that not only complements my fishing and tying style with its buggy appearance but also serves a specific purpose. This tie is designed to mimic the profile of mayflies prevalent during the spring and summer months. I swear by this pattern in various colors like olive, natural, tan, and brown, as to me it stands out as the ultimate way to tie and fish a Hare's Ear in my opinion. Have you tried it yet? Share your thoughts on this nymph!

Did I just catch 2 "nice buggy look"'s in a single video? LOL!!
The fly fishing community NEEDED this buggy Hare’s Ear variation. You got my vote, goat!
#flies that net trout!
The comments are so wholesome here, what a lovely sight!
Love that addition of the ostrich herl.
I have a lot of feathers. Turkey and turkey down feathers. Would you like them? ~
Thank you for sharing this pattern! The Hare’s Ear is one of my favorite patterns. I am always down to learn new with this pattern. Tight lines! 😎🎣
One of the greatest! I like this little twist on it. mostly use it as a mayfly and this works very well. Olive is my go to here in Maine
Ive been fishing a hares ear type pattern in almost every creek i go to and almost always get atleast 1 hit on it, such an effective pattern that honestly if you do not have some variant in your box you are missing out
Great pattern! #flies 🪰🪝
Ostrich herl is one of the best materials ever, but I can't seem to find any with larger fibers so I can pull them down and use for scuds
Love the variety of your content and watch all the time, but I do have a question. Just a thought: you’re tying nymphs on jig hooks, jig hooks invert when fished. Why not tie the wing pads on the inside of the hook so it fishes right side up? Please keep the videos coming. Thanks.
Thanks!
No problem Dave, thanks for the tip I appreciate that. Hope this lands you some fish!
Nice I had to replace the tail of the fly
#flies would love to see a foam bodied caddis dry fly!
Nice #flies
😎👍
