Have to say I am not inspired with any feelings of security with these two ships , both with fundamental transmission problems and now we have QE in dry dock for the forseeable . I reckon the hulls have been badly designed allowing propshaft flex in bad sea states which causes overheating and missalignment . I dont thing these ships could enter a theater of war ever in the way that say the 4 big US battleships could as I doubt the UK carriers simply could not maintain maximum speed for any duration .
She certainly gets around a bit does the SD Tempest she must have followed the POW up from Pompy you would think they would have another tug ,but probably not viable with cost
I thought that the crew had to stand on the deck attention when arriving and leaving a port but that one tug actually looked like it was pushing the ship around at the beginning of the time lapse thank you very much Jim
It’s a UK ship, paid for with the collective monies. It’s in Loch long, Scotland. It should really carry all flags from our country. Unless I missed it of course.
I'm mod on Ryde and Solent cam isle of Wight and we watch her leave Portsmouth its amazing to see and even better when it returns 😊
In case anyone was not able to watch in person, don’t worry it’ll be back in a few days when it breaks down again.
When will it be heading down to the Firth of Forth for repairs
Does this boat work now, or needs tugs to power it?
I think that’s the Russian carrier, and if it’s on fire then it’s probably a U.S. carrier.
What a piece of kit
Don’t really need the background music there Mr Spielberg 🤦♂️🤦♂️
What is balancing the superstructure on the opposite side of the ship?
All the planes which aren't there
what a beauty
How long will it be before this expensive metal hulk will have return to port for more extensive repairs?
good i can get fishing just by the jetty.
give it a couple of weeks and itll breakdown again
Now she’s Armed, where next. The Med?🇬🇧
Unlikely it can sail that far without breaking down.
No not to the med, if you look at the hms warrior Web cam you can see that it back in Portsmouth
Did they need to tow it this time or is it finally able to propel itself? 😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
Returning to pompey no less !!!

The SD Tempest tug was made especially for the 2 Queen Elizabeth Class carriers so must be a bery powerful unit but its a team game.
And apply named as well for a tug thanks Jim
I hope to return the british empire
Jane - that happens only when the ship is leaving for a deployment. Because this is routine movement there's no requirement.
@hmsdaring thank you for that information enjoy the rest of the weekend
Well I'll scrap my propsed career as a spy. And yes the music is naff
Aye ... very good!
build another few and get our navy back to strength, better still keep contract to uk
pointless waste of money and vanity ship 1 is enough if we need to have something like this.
An aircraft carrier with no aircraft a white elephant the Royal Navy cannot afford.
Spot on - I think its being kept to be part of a NATO force when the time comes....
It's a she. By tradition all British ships are. The russkies do things differently, but they don't know any better.
Joke FINISHED UNION 👎🏻🇬🇧
🏴☮️🇪🇺
Where's welsh flag prince of wales what a joke
Part of the Union Jack
Would have been amazing to see. Sadly not a Scottish flag in sight. 🏴
Or welsh one
Because it’s not a Scottish ship.
