what would you suggest if I wanted to use this for a title image and after 7 seconds had the video continue playing and the mask no longer needed. would you delete it then or just have it exist in the background. Please advise.

Good question! Some of it is just messing around with things until I figure out something cool, some is learning from other people that are better than me, some was school, some is suggestions from friends, some is stumbling across something by accident: everything is a learning experience :)

Hey, I feel like you're the only one who may be able to answer this technical question. So I created a legacy title that scrolls left (starts and finishes off screen) but for each letter I wanted to use a separate video. I tried to do the letters separately but the video underneath doesn't move with the letter. Is there any way to have the video scroll simultaneously with the text? Any advice welcome
Apparently there is a way to do it, but I can't imagine the results would be the same... AE just delivers a much cleaner result in my opinion. More tools + more options = better result.
Hey lhtes, so there is but it's just a mask with text effect. I have used your AE tutorial for an intro to a video I'm crafting and it looks mint! The 3d camera push through just isn't possible in Premiere and it totally sells the effect. Love your work.
Did they? To be 100% honest, I don't even consider Premiere to be anything other than traditional editing... I can get better and faster results out of AE instead of wasting a bunch of time in Premiere, but if you can do this now, that's pretty cool
