Tnx for the video I got really annoyed when google recommended me this video and had a stripe with other videos every time I stopped it to see what you were doing. I do not know if that was on your site or some other place but once I got to YT it was awesome. Hope this feedback helps.
That doesn't work because I am using alpha trkmat...so the stroke or outline do the same as the text blend into the picture..instead of showing a white line around the text
Love the video. But why can’t I click on Track Matte. It’s not in the bottom and I found it in “layer” but it’s greyed out so I can not select it. Please someone help!
Is it possible to do this and then extrude the shape? So the video plays on the flat surface of a 3D shape? I'd like to animate a 3D object while video is playing on its surface. Thanks!
Hello! Do you know if its possible to do this with a shape created with the pen tool? I am having trouble getting the video to fit inside a custom area, the track mattes aren't working with a pen tool shape
I did something similar, though I used a AI file for quality-reasons... atleast I thought it would use the vector-info. Though if I zoom in the logo, the edges of letters, especially the "O" (which I used the inside to cut to the new video) looks all pixelated. Is Premiere and/or AE rasterizing it at the import-state?
Didi anyone figure out how to add an outer stroke without making the mask bigger? I'm playing around with this method in AE but I cant seem to figure out how to add an outline without it becoming apart of the mask itself
You can make the mask black with a white outline and use blending mode "Add" (make the mask visible again). Similar methods using blending modes will also work.
Yes theres many times where you can do the same effect in different programs but each program still has it's own uses and tools where you might need one over the other
If you want to key it sure there’s always more than one way to do something but I don’t think that would be the most optimal and flexible way to do this

Right click > blending styles or layer styles

You could add on top or precompose or dip from black depends on your layers
