Keep up all the great content! Fun fact, my grandparents owned a large farm in Hanmer back in the day. Deschenes road is based on their family name. The farm stretched from the beginning to the end of Deschenes road.
I stumbled across your camp 101 video a few minutes ago. I had great grandparents who lived in Cartier. Now I’ve got to bug some family to see if they have any info on it. I live in Chelmsford and we go camping in that area often. Thanks for sharing!
So wonderful to be recognized as an " independent film" producer!! Your documentary style videos are always well done and interesting, Doug! Love the canoe guy's confidence!
Awesome Doug . I watch a lot of unique independent film makers . TVO supports a lot of independent creators. You have a rail service in town that heads north bringing canoeers , hunters , naturalists dropping them off anywhere along the track all the way to Chapleau. I bet many have no idea the service exists. That would be an awesome film riding on one of the few rail cars built in the 50's for just the remote settlements that were built along rail lines.
Great idea Steve and I’ve been lucky enough to ride the Bud Car to paddle the Spanish River. There are interesting stories out there for sure. Thanks Buddy! 👊🏻👍🏻🍻
I’ve always loved your historical videos, all your productions in fact. I’m looking forward to your next installment. You keep putting them out. I’ll keep watching. Thanks, Doug.
Congratulations Doug, you are well worthy of the success brother! Really cool to see your footage being used on the news! Always a fan of your productions 😃🙌🙌🔥 it's a great channel!
Yep, sometimes you got to bail, those black flies are so annoying! Cool that CBC picked up that shot, so much good stuff, hope you had a rocking weekend!
I remember many of these videos Doug - you've done really well. I liked the Queens stadium - I could feel the community in that. I hope you have a good week ahead. Here's to more great documentaries. All the best. Mark
Holly and I love your videos they are always informative and well put together. Your camera work is first class and we especially love the drone shots. Keep up the great work Doug. Have a great day my friend.

You have come a long way Doug from St. Patricks school buddy.. great video.. Hey do one on the Spanish River and fishing that would be cool.. All the best say hi to the family. Be safe keep these videos coming . I love watching them .
Well done, Doug! I've always enjoyed your documentary-style videos and always learn something. You mentioned that the flies were bad and you didn't have any insect repellent. I was thinking right then about an old fly repellent, used by loggers in the bush of Eastern Canada back in the early 1900's and that concoction was homemade: creland (spelled incorrectly, I'm sure, a type of tar) and lard. I heard about this in Nova Scotia. Maybe you could do a documentary about the many types of insect repellents over the years and maybe ones that were local and homemade, if any. Cheers and have a fantastic weekend!
Thanks so much Craig! That’s very interesting about homemade insect repellent and could be a nugget for sure. Appreciate you always taking the time to watch and to share your thoughts and experiences Brother!! 👊🏻👍🏻
