And whatever you have said I always check all these things. Spot on sir. I learnt it the hard way in last 20 years. Street food .... It's an addictive trap. I suffered stomach issues, thyroid issues, back pain, missing vital nutrients in food, bad parameters in blood test but realised that my eating habits was a root cause very late. Now I eat outside very rarely and only at very few selected outlets. Much better and healthy now.

Absolutely Agree - Want to add 2 points on the same lines you have been teaching concepts -
1- People are also giving an excuse that we don't have time to cook and instead we will spend that time doing something productive hence we will buy it easily from those vendors. But the reality is that saved time is not spent on anything productive and as you said the cost of health is much more than the cost differential of the food also the time and effort spent are more productive in cooking than time and effort being spent in hospitals when you get sick because of this.
2- When people say we are helping them serve their livelihood of the poor vendors but actually we are promoting them to limit themselves and keep doing this and that's even passed on to generations. Many such vendors keep training young kids to follow the same as its very less investment and more margins which is ultimately not helping the ecosystem to grow.
Thank you Amit sir for bringing in such content

I'm in my 20's ..and i realised Very early how important is food in our life. As a good cook myself(and a lil bit health conscious person), i always analyse few thing while eating out at a good restaurant or a road side food stall: hygiene, price, quality, quantity and then compare it with 'what if i cook it by myself at my own kitchen'. Then i realise and conclude that cooking at home and having that food would be the most healthiest, safest and most economical way to stay fit and survive.
Coming to the hygiene part, my mom always used to nag me each and every time to atleast maintain proper hygiene in the kitchen and food cause that's what we are directly dependent on.our physical health, mental health, our moods everything's is somehow directly or indirectly dependent on it.there's a different shine and glow in the face, body when u eat healthy and good food. So treat ur kitchen like main mandir/temple.

Haha what you said about adding Amul butter and anything becoming tastier is absolutely true! I love cooking, love cooking for others and inspiring others to cook. Everything tastes good with the right amount of fat, salt and spices.Another thing I want to say is people running these businesses cook food as a business. They don’t have thoughts of good health and love for you while cooking. If you believe in vibes, energy etc you would understand customers are just a number and they cannot match your/your family’s concern for your health.

Main culprit is tongue. I trained my brain to enjoy taste of healthy food. First my brain approves the food ,and my taste buds work accordingly. Most of the time my brain stops me to eat unhealthy food from outside and even at home ( training is in progress ) i don't say i never eat outside, but i choose wisely. The most important thing is that, "When we eat more from outside, we crave more.

    I grew up seeing my
Mother pack my dad’s lunch. She did for me. My dad would cook on Sunday’s. Today I am doing for my kids. I make it a point to avoid outside food for their birthday party’s. Yes it requires patience, planning and energy to make food for birthdays but the satisfaction I get when the kids like the food and ask for more is immense. It is painful to serve the Samosas and chips made from reused oil to the kids. My husband can’t cook but he assists me buying groceries, vegetables and other things. I am a Pharmacist by profession, a working mother and I know the challenges of a mother to run a kitchen. It would be wonderful if Men could get involved and lend a hand, with buying vegetables, groceries, cutting the veggies, making the dough. We can pass the home cooking tradition to the future generation and home cooking won’t be seen as a burden.

Setting a reasonable standard around your refueling system is quite important. Selecting the right food, shopping for fresh vegetables/fruits/groceries, and equipping yourself with simple ways to prepare and eat healthy food is a blessing and an art in itself. even if you score less on many fronts these life skills will keep you happy and healthy.

What a remarkable insight into a very vital (essential yet most ignored prime aspect of life). One cannot even think of what shit they are consuming when they eat outside. Even in a visibly clean appearing food joint. I have been away from my family for 4 years and ate at a very clean restaurant just for 2 days. I was shocked as I saw the cook spitting Gutka juice into wash basin where utensils for washing had been kept. Incidences of Gole Gappey waley mixing Urine in Pani can be seen on you tube.Since last 25 years I avoid outside food like poison. Thanks for raising awareness about such an IMPORTANT issue🙏

Great topic Sir and your lighthearted straightforward way of stating facts always makes it fun to watch. I agree with you 100%. We were much healthier when we ate mom food and she never allowed us to eat out especially never on roadside.
Then as students and busy career even eating at restaurants made our health decline. Now in early 40s we decided to simply try to cook everything at home at least 5-6 days a week and we got healthier again and skin glows.
Your initial statement that what goes in is what shows is correct even with emotions going into cooking. Moms food is best for that reason too - all the love and care to prepare matters- happy emotions put in cooking lead to happy people.
I now try my best to pray on food when I cook and also pray on food cooked by others.
Love your advice on start small and learn to cook both girls and boys so that one can eat well after working so hard to make a career👍👍👍

Sir, kindly consider the issues with few like me (39 yrs). I leave the home at 6am and for last 6 years neither my wife nor mother has cooked breakfast nor luch. I leave the home with 1 cup of coffee and few monaco biscuits. Now should I cook my own breakfast and lunch by waking at 4:30am? I have tried but miserable failed, not because I am bad at cooking but because of the constant "kachar-pachar" in the kitchen during cooking. None of the members ready to understand the issue, but everyone is ready to advice that "sab log tiffin hee order karte hai, tum bhi karo". If somehow I ask my wife to mainstream the morning routine so that I can go happily with lunch packed, the don't you think I have tried this? I did and failed miserably, because she takes 1-2 hours to cook a simple meal, forget the breakfast and lunch together. And if she cook one day it you just don't dare to eat it next day, you can't just eat.
I am glad you discussed "aaj kal ki ka to pata nahi par purane log". Problem is nobody is ready to take responsibility. Wives of this time can happily live if they don't have to cook or clean, they can eat from outside on daily basis just because they don't have to cook. For them cooking is "Julm" and husbands of 21st century don't dare to ask for this.
After all, how can we blame wives/girls/housewives, when they just don't want to do anything except talking on phone checking status on whatsApp and bitching.
Wow wow wow!!! How can I say that, be a man, man don't blame, men dont cry....
All those issues you raised are good for the people who have a healthy and peaceful home, not like us.
Only solution is, go to work, eat from wherever you can, come home, and dont you dare to speak a word, also don't you dare to demand anything.
    Thanks.
