Do you use the shiny charm? But even with the lowered odds of mirage spots combined with the shiny charm, that's still a pretty crazy number of resets xD Congrats on the pretty crescent! I really need to snag myself one of these pretties in BW2 :D

Very awesome on the Shiny Crecelia, as soon as you dropped the 3Ds i was like, i hope that does not freeze the game. Cause the slight move of the cartridge out of place from the socket can do that, congratz one again, the Dogg was so happy it squeaked it's squeaky toy for you LOLz :P

Currently soft resetting for the first time, also for Cresselia. Only been at it for 2 days but it's already a long process. However, I have had the most insane luck with getting a shiny Latios. No intent on shiny hunting him, just happened that I accidently knocked him out on the first try to catch him and on my 2nd encounter, he appeared shiny. The joy was making me cry and I interrupted my boyfriend's shower to tell him. He swears he's never seen me this happy in his entire life and that even if he'd proposed, he's convinced I wouldn't be as happy as I was when I met shiny Latios. Only proof I've got is a picture though, but I can so relate to this, congrats on Yue!!

Reminds me of my first shiny ever. It was almost midnight and I was playing just regular Sapphire, and I actually thought to myself, 'maybe I should soft reset a few times to see if I get a shiny Kyogre, just for the lolz' but the second I clicked on it it was shiny. I jumped out of bed and screamed at my sister and threw my master ball and now I have a shiny Kyogre.

Hi, Renae! You may recognize me in your streams as AlCoMaNa_gaming, and this luck is unreal! My shiny legendary luck is pretty good or pretty terrible. I got my shiny Latios in around 130, and shiny Azelf at around 360. I also hunted for a week for shiny Cobalion, and got nothing. Oh well, I'll get it eventually. Keep up the fun streams!
I have only encountered one shiny in my life, and it was in Firered, a Golbat in the Articuno caves
so cool and so lucky that's the best lucky shiny encounter I have seen

My fastest encounter of a lengendary shiny was when my little brother wanted to restart on alpha saphir. As I lost my regigigas and needed an other one, I decided to catch him on his game so that I could later shiny hunt it on my omega ruby. And while I was trying to catch the other regis to finaly catch him, shiny registeel appeared on the first encounter. My brother hated me for this
I encountered a shiny Cresselia after 5 or 7 soft resets and captured it.
Definitely makes up for the 5 hours spent trying to encounter a shiny Regice to no avail.

my best encounter was a in hear gold i some how was blessed with a shiny ho oh, i was to young to know what soft resetting was, and i didnt understand how rare it was. i killed it the first time i encounter but it wasn't shiny at the time , when trying to capture it again it was shiny.

How do u soft reset?
You save the game and then you encounter the pokemon. If it's not shiny, then you turn off the game and open it back up to your last save :)

Alfredo Aranda Actually, that's hard resetting. SOFT resetting is pressing L,R+Select (if not, it's start), or L, R, Start+Select for DS games.

How on earth do you have such good luck? Not just this, but so many others with like 200 or less encounters?
I have a question, it may be debatable....But is it possible that certain natures can hinder a Pokemon being Shiny? I've been trying for about 2 months (possibly thousands of SR) to get a Shiny (hasty nature) Mesprit, I have my Gardevoir with synchronoise in the front of my party. I know it could just be bad luck, but that thought has just been bugging me for the past few days. I know a Pokemon being shiny has to do with it's stats (IV's and whatnot) and natures influence stats so I just thought I would ask. (Maybe it's not possible in the coding to have a Hasty natured Mesprit)

+MCGoldYoshi Shininess is a separate value from nature, IVs, etc, so no, it's not throwing you off. If you're going for the Mesprit in ORAS with no shiny charm, your odds are 1/4096 each time you reset. Be patient with it and it will come. If you're STILL searching for it, it may be worth your while to attempt to complete your National Dex (capturing every pokemon 1-718 minus event only legendaries) to get the shiny charm, which boosts your odds to 3/4096. Shinies are rare, and most of them require significantly more than 5 encounters ;) (Even with the shiny charm, the chances of what happened in this video is only 0.3%!)
+Craseder Thank you for the help. :) I actually managed to encounter a Shiny Mesprit a week or 2 after posting this comment. ^.^ But catching the Shiny Mesprit didn't necessarily prove whether or not, nature can prevent encountering a Shiny for certain Pokemon, so I'm glad to have an accurate answer now. :) Thank you again for clarifying it for me.

I’m on 1400 rn and I’m just like when will this shiny pop out lol, I have the shiny charm too. But I guess it balanced out because I got shiny Reshiram in 100 resets and shiny virizion in like 400.
I accidentally killed a regirock while trying to catch it, luckily I saved before starting the encounter, soft reset the save and HOLY MOLY A SHINY REGIROCK.
