Gundam Unicorn was originally released as direct-to-video (OVA) series in 2010 in 7 log episodes. But due to popular demand, Bandai/Sunrise re-released it on TV in 2016 with very minimal changes other than the 7 episodes being chopped up into 20+ episodes to fit the TV slot. Unicorn's animation has always been superb. The scenes that you saw in the beginning of the AMV are battle scenes throughout the Universal Century (UC) up to the events in Unicorn. The OG Gundam's event happened in the UC calendar of 0079 while Gundam Unicorn event happened in UC 0096. The blonde girl (Mineva) is the last remaining Zabi family members, a prominent antagonist faction in OG Gundam. Mineva was still a baby back in the OG Gundam.
That explains why I thought the style seemed a little bit on the older side (Not that there's anything wrong with that) Also that explains the early scenes, that's really awesome how those were included! As well as the context for (Mineva) That explains why they were at that mansion and the attire she was also wearing too. Thank you again for the heads up on the context in general. Also as thank you again for the Gundam AMV requests!! :D
@@rrwithsteve895 Since people still rarely made a request, here's another one from me: The song is called "No Limits" from *Taja* from the *Gundam: MS IGLOO 2* mini-series. It's a CG show set in the year UC. 0079 during the heat of "One Year War" in UC Gundam history. The story is about small ground troops that had their own missions within the bigger war: th-cam.com/video/rASvgICP0ow/w-d-xo.html
Alrighty!! I'll add it to the list!! :D Thank you again for the request!! Also yeah it's a bit odd there haven't been too many other requests yet. Though I'll try to find some other stuff also to check out. (I was thinking of some other neat movie trailers too perhaps :o Especially for when I wrap up Gundam The Witch From Mercury)
@R&RWithSteve Hey, I don't know if you added these; but some requests: m.th-cam.com/video/S1jdRpwb0PI/w-d-xo.html and m.th-cam.com/video/C0n-O9E6pHM/w-d-xo.html First is a short amv of the history of the UC and the other is gundam the origin amv. UC timeline is my favourite being more gritty, political and down to more realistic like how the way gravity and space affect the mobilesuit movements.
@@solastro5595 Thank you for the additional requests!! I'll add these to the list too!! :D I really haven't checked out much of the Original series, but It'll be awesome to check it out for sure!! :D Thank you again!!
The burning rock is a giant space station well half of a station inside an giant asteroid falling to earth. While the mobile suits is trying to stop the asteroid by pushing it away. The big bulky green mobile suit is called Kshatriya model number NZ-666 nickname Quad-wing. There are 2 types for the blue mobile suits a regular ReZEL and ReZEL Commander Type. In my opinion a regular ReZEL is more like a box than a plane while the commander types have some boxy feature with wings all because of the back pack unit. The scene of the 2 unicorns and the 3 shields is trying to stop a giant cylinder Death Star laser by putting up a 3 giant Psycho-Field in other words 3 giant forcefield. In my opinion the reason behind the Crystal Unicorn is a result of pushing the psycho-frame to it’s limit since the Unicorn Gundam unit 1 have to used all of it’s energy just to block the giant laser thus forming a crystal around it body. At the same time almost ending up making a second Unicorn Phenex if it weren’t for is ghost father and Mineva spirit to bring him back to his senses or the living.
Woah! I didn't realize that big rock in the beginning was a space station (though that is fairly common for Gundam Tropes) Also the Kshatriya looks really cool too!! The ReZEL and ReZEL Commander types are also just neat to me too. (A transforming mobile suit is always a win to me XD I remember getting a Gunpla of the Murasame, but it's more or less in a backlog for now) Also yeah! I did notice the two unicorns were stopping that giant cylinder (Though I had no idea it was a death laser of sorts :o ) That's a really good observation about the Crystal Unicorn!! Thank you again for the deeper explanations and once again for watching!! :D

Since it's part of the UC timeline, they try to make it similar styles specifically their facials.
Ah!! That makes so much more sense!! Thank you again for the heads up and again for watching!! :D
