Surprisingly i can confirm that too. I usually steered away from pendulum decks but now that they're in master duel i tried them out in the trial cup it was pretty good and i like the concept and design
they could have easily gave zarc i don't know an archetypal monster reborn instead of "I can't be destroyed because there are monsters of the same mechanic as me (fusion, synchro xyz)"
A thing I like about Dramatic Story is how surprisingly versatile it is. If you choose to destroy the monster you target, you can obviously trigger Wild Hope's floating effect, but in the case of Sassy Rookie, you can just keep the body for free, because of it's once per turn destruction immunity.
You kidding? I've made so many tech moves with this deck its ridiculous! Here's one. I recall a time where my opponent had mostly beefy bodies. I had Arch Rebel Dragon, Comic Relief and a few other Actors out. My turn comes, and Comic procs, going to the opponents side of the field, giving me the chance I needed to break the wall wide open. I use Arch Rebel's effect, keep the Raiders Knight I used as material, Negate all effects on the feild, Including Comic's 0 Dg effect, and then I attack for game, Through my Comic!
I like to think that the destruction effects of the abyss scripts are caused by the abyss actors not knowing what to do anymore and begin going off script.
something very important to mention about producer, it is a quick effect, so you can chain it to the effect you want to negate to activate the field spell right before that effect resolves, effectively turning your automatic negate into one you have full control over.
Abyss Actors are my favorite deck. They aren't the most competitive but they're playable and fun. The new support actually is making me think of getting an actual physical deck and hunting down a locals. Always been a simulator yugioh player. Also my favorite abyss Actor is is Sassy Rookie. I don't run him, but I love him. He axe kicked a fucking dragon and he's got more personality then most people in Arc V.
This is my main Fun time deck. I already knew about all the support and what they do but it still gives me joy seeing the happy Cartoon actors in the artwork. Leading lady and Sassy Rookie are my favorites and give me so much happiness. I love the new loading screen they got in master duel and want to get a custom playmat of my favorite deck. Consistently enough to give some big meta decks a run for their money
Imagine if one day, they do a Chazz with Sawatari's decks and make Abyss Actor version of monsters that Sawatari also used (Frost Monarch, Dart, and Yosenju) Think about it. We could have a Kabuki-themed Yosenju. Something like "Abyss Actor - Yosenju Dancer" with a Kabuki outfit A Jester for the Monarchs. Something like this: "Abyss Actor - Frosty Jester" That lets you add a "Mobius the frost monarch" or "mobious the mega monarch" from your deck or GY to your hand (after all, abyss actor only stop you from special summoning monsters outside the archetype. NOT Tribute summon)
Dust Tornado was the last card I expected to see, but pulling it off just might make the opponent surrender on its own, even if it doesn't force them into a losing position
I just thought of a good spell/trap card. The effect would be, "you can target a spell/trap in your grave and treat it as if it was destroyed this turn after this cards effect resolves" it most likely be limited but would be a card in some meta decks
Another tech pick for Abyss Actor I use is Waking The Dragons because it literally has the same set destruction effect requirement and it is really good
A good combo is (any level four or lower abyss actor and any abyss actor) - normal summon the level four or lower and set scale with the other - link one into hyper director - hyper director summon the scale and place wild hope to any pend zone - link two into super producer - super producer pop wild hope and place playhouse - wild hope search mellow Madonna - place Madonna and search any high scale - pend summon the two you used as material so summon producer. Easy one 1 and 1/2 card combo
While I initially lamented the loss of Yosenjus, seeing Sawatari use the Abyss Scripts which actually gave the Actors a costume change was such an awesome detail that the anime didn’t have to do but went hard on. That’s when AA became one of my favourite archetypes. ❤ Also to answer the question posed by the video, my favourite Abyss Actor is Leading Lady because of the card “Stand-In” which while not an AA card, it does have them in the artwork and features Lady complaining to Superstar who thought it was a good idea to have Funky Comedian paint himself purple to pose as Evil Heel for some reason. Leading Lady’s over-the-top expression of “you thought the audience was dumb enough to believe that!” was just really amusing to me. 😂
not sure if you mentioned this but i just learnt something in master duel if you use dramatic story on sassy rookie, sassy rookies effect with prock for the cost and you get a free SS from the deck
I've definitely devastated someone's extra deck fire dragons lair, attacking with evil heel, and twinkle little star giving it extra attacks....also with that evil heel will give 3 scripts from the graveyard
My favourite pendulum deck, favourite art is Twinkle Little Star. I also use Omega Judgement for disruption and getting advantage from Wild Hope destruction
Love this funny dudes since they came up in the anime. Biggest advantage is the massive count of letters on them. Yugioh-players doesn't read. So most players does not see the choke points and/or misunderstand cards and effects. E.g. Theater effect or Rise of Abyss King anti-chain-condition. Favorite actor: Comic Relief Favorite artwork (til now): Wild Hope (secret is a beauty) Favorite techs: Luster Pendulum to pop Hope/Rookie and Waking The Dragon (never triggered this card that much in any another deck) With the new support they reach a whole new level and I'm locking forward happily. Downloaded master duel a week ago aaand....my 2nd archetype to finish is this one, by RNG (opened lots of amazement pack and always got AA), gonna try it currently 😂
id say yes, Relief is very good. in my experience in pendulum it's a great scale and it's creature swap-like function can help you set up lethal plays while stealing the enemies big monsters in many situations. Ive ran all the high scales in this deck at some point, and he's my personal favorite of the batch for his potential utility.
To frank I've never been a fan of pendulums, because it sounds and acts like a broken mechanic, and most times 2 of my back row is used up where more important cards could be set or taking space. But even with is I think this is a cool archetype.
Abyss actors isn‘t that hard to start playing, however it is extremely hard to master (it‘s hard to see the best combo lines). Other decks like Zefra, Dinomist or pure Odd-eyes are probably better to learn the mechanic ( abyss actors is not a bad choice either though)

As i have been just sending there fusions back to the extra deck. In clearing there traps with abyss king. They cant respond lol
Abyss Actors are on the unfortunate list of those archetypes that seem like they were not designed with Master Rule 4+ in mind. Nowadays, being a no-extra deck shenanigans full pendulum archetype, but also with cards you want in the backrow, is rather difficult. I was really mad when all of what the Link VRAINS pack gave to AAs was a Link-1. THEY NEED ARROWS, YOU IDIOT, GIVE THEM A LINK-2 AT LEAST. It's cool that Super Producer is a step in the right direction... but it's still not cool that Mellow Madonna, a card created during the Link Era, locks you out of your own link monsters. Come on...
And also a sign of much needed improvement given the fact Yuya after his first duel against Reiji starting to implement Fusion, Xyz, and Synchro monsters to his strategies it worked

Oddly enough, Abyss Actors was the 1st pendulum deck I fell in love with. These theater kids always had a place in me heart with D/D/D's

Oddly enough, a card like frost monarch is certainly what Abyss Actor needed, since they are weak to interact with opponent's set card

Eh. It’s way easier now to set up a board before being locked. Usually Hyper Director is one of the last things you do now.
