- This video = main combos that I use when going first with my list - there're way more odd lines than what I have shown, which basically means a lot of the time I just make this stuff up as I go along.

I love how you can activate Super Producer’s effect to pop one of your card to place Fantastic Theater from your deck in response to your opponent’s monster activation and Fantastic Theater will still change your opponent’s activated monster effect in the middle of the chain resolution as changing the monster effect by Fantastic Theater is not an activation.
It's so good but gotten so many judges called over for it!

@@tradefederations1628 It's really annoying especially in dueling book where you have to wait up to 30 minutes for a judge to appear. Is there ocg ruling database for this interaction so I can just link it whenever it happens?
@@averagejoe9229 I've stopped playing DB, got tired of being held hostage for half an hour every game until a judge arrived haha, and it's 90% down to fantastic theatre - with comic relief making up the other 10%.
Would that not work because you’d be adding Theatres effect mid chain as the chain is resolving back down to your opponent’s effect that would be changed, which you can’t do right? Or am I missing something?
Thank you for this, I don't feel like I'm playing this deck blindly anymore, starting to finally piece the turn 1 plays together.
I rarely make anything other than these three variations of end board and they have served me well, as you learn them more you will find small ways to squeeze out more advantage from certain hands, but the combo will largely remain the same.

Glad it was helpful! I do show old otk combos in a video from like 2 years ago, but they are still relevant even with the new support.

Hello ! I have a question regarding the last board you made, when you have Vortex, Apo 3 and the field
Does the field always have to negate first ? If your opponent activate a Monster effect Can I respond with Apo to keep my field live ?

Hi there! The field spell reads ‘the first effect your opponent ‘activates’, and apo/vortex both negate activation, so yes you may use them to hold off on the field spell. But something like veiler or imperm, which only negate effect, would not work in that scenario. Glad you’re enjoying the content!
I love the artworks and effects of this archetype, but feel like Pendulum decks are quite complicated in terms of optimal play because there are so many options almost every turn.
This archetype is easily one of the most unique when it comes to effects in the entire game! 'Fortunately', Abyss Actors xeno lock you so many times that it makes them a bit more streamlined.

Hey, been playing Master Duel waiting for the Abyss Actor support over there. How would Heavymetalfoes Electrumite be incorporated in the deck comboes and how well do you think Abyss Actor can handle Maxx "C"?
I have 0 experience with either of those cards as I only play irl, but electrumite would definitely be added into the deck for its versatility, however it's not as big a deal as it would be for other pendulum decks as we already have ways to pop wild hope and search. Maxx C though... I'd honestly consider quitting the game if it came back, but your best bet would be a slower actor build that focuses on control and uses floodgates.
Electrum is really good, it's essentially Super Producer rip-off, but if you do open enough summons, definitely use it (as long as you can still end on Super Producer ofc)
maxx c is bad for abyss actor ofc but it's bad for lots of other decks too, so you can run it at 3 and it helps the going second builds. to deal with it you do what everyone else does, run 3 ash, 2 called, and pray
If you negate your opponent's monsters with either Apollousa or Vortex Theatre's continuous effect doesn't occur because the activation was negated, correct?
Theatre will change the first monster effect your opponent activates per turn, if you negate the activation of monster effects through other means, theatre will wait until one is able to attempt to resolve.
What do you think about
Wild Hope making Madonna a Scale 9, then using Super Producer scaling a Sassy Rookie?
I like it, especially when evenly isn't prevalent! It's not something I have often considered though - but I think it's an improvement overall tbh
I’ve made an abyss actor deck recently, I was wondering if evil heel is worth playing? It seems good on paper with the best attack out of the abyss actors with a pretty great effect for otk, but I can’t seem to combo with it.
I have at times included Evil Heel in my decks but rarely has he actually been properly impactful or game winning. But at the same time, he’s not an awful card and is fairly easy to summon out so I’d leave it down to personal preference! He’s really only good if you’re already in a nice spot, he felt to me like more of a control card.
On your last combo, isn't it better to set an abyss script other than dramatic story in case your opponent uses duster/lightning storm? If you have dramatic story set they get rid of the field spell and your scales, plus your dramatic story triggering will accomplish nothing. I think it would be better to punish that play by playing opening ceremony instead which would net you some draws, and you also keep vortex's negate for something like a dark hole to protect your appolousa.
I think it is match-up dependent and build dependent, but as I said in the video I'd 100% go for ceremony if I ran more handtraps. And against Darkworld for example, because I run droll and lancea, I'd go for the opening ceremony play just to increase my chances of seeing those auto-win cards. But labyrinth for example, I'll go for dramatic story. Generally though, people do not side in lightning storm against Abyss Actors because they worry about cards like opening ceremony - plus no one is really playing LS right now; which obviously changes with the format. Evenly is the one you have to be careful of, and if they open double board breaker against you then there's not much you can really do tbf.
if they try to handtrap you with the field spell up but you have no set cards would the field spell still change the effect?
yes - field spell effect is mandatory!
Is there an easy way to loop the field spell in case it gets destroyed ?
Nope, but it currently isn't worth trying to recycle anyway! Would be nice to get something in-archetype that does other stuff too at some point.
11.30 .. How did you Pend summon Madonna, with those scales? I’m new to pendulums.
I have a scale 2 and a scale 8 up, which means I can pendulum summon any monster from levels 3-7

1:32 and your director gets impermed and you stuck with exstras being one of your pendulum scale, you can pretty much surrender.
Preferably you start a game with curtain rise so if your director gets negated by a handtrap you still have your normal summon to make pruducer. So pretty garbage combo.
Mr Garbage Man, it is a 1-card combo, obviously if you also open Curtain Raiser you special him out and make Producer if Director gets negated. But for this sketch, we are asking our audience to imagine that the only abyss Actor we've opened is Extras. I suggest you stay back stage with the prop department for the next production.
@@tradefederations1628Yeah one card combo, but I am just saying it is bad, like losing to a commonly used card immidiately bad. First turn you have more than one card in hand, and you are usually going to end up with a full board without risking of losing instantly to imperm, and if it is not first turn, than the opponent usually has a monster so you can special summon Extras with the pedulum effect, and it is fine then, but you only need to do this if you opponent destroyed your board. Also if it is not your first turn it is not always good to lock yoursel out of non abyss actor monsters with the first card you play. I know the showcase is for arctype only, but realisticly there is a chanse you could make, for example, Chaos Angel before doing the Director play, or just go for Beyond the Pendulu and win the game.
And by the way this is just one issue with the combo, the other one is you should put Wild Hope as a pendulum scale using director, and put Madonna using Producer destroying Wild Hope. The difference is Wild Hope's effect could bait an Ash Blossom for example, so you still have Madonna's search. But if you put Madonna as a scale and you try to search for Wild Hope with it and it gets negated then you don't have Wild Hope.
@@shadyshyguy4058 The line that the 1-card combo takes is your second best end board outside of the big one I show later (if using a similar list to mine). So if you open say comic relief with an extras, you would still take the same line, only it is more resistant to hand traps as you can place a high scale for example. The end board for the combo is the most common one you will get to, and so knowing how to get there with as few resources as possible is important.
Regarding your second point, I can see an argument for that for sure, but i like going for madonna first in case they decide to veiler/imperm your producer (which comes up even though director is the correct hit), as that way I have guaranteed follow-up for the my next turn.
@@tradefederations1628 Abyss actors are not for one card combo chart zombies. Many of the time it is just better to open up with courtain riser and put an other card to the pendulum zone to summon with director. Even if you did not have curtain riser and used up your normal summon, it is good to put superstar as a scale to summon with director so you can serch a dramatic story and use it in the combo. an also there is Liberty Dramatist(witch I used to thing was total garbage, but recently I started to experiment with it, and it is pretty good, but it may need a bit of differen playstyle), so if it summoned from the pendulum scale with Director then it can also search for Dramaic story(you should play 3 Dratic story, if you pkay Liberty Dramatist), and can also recycle Dramatic Story to the deck, whitch is good if you are playing Liberty Dramatist style.
By the way dratic story may also bait an ash blossom and if it gets negated you don't lose instantly. So over all you are very likely you could do much better you are much less likely to get negated if you are not doing that one card combo. That is more like an if you don't have anything else thing.
