I'm on the shorter side, so I can recline the seats more than other people.. but it still sucks. Driving at around 65mph and you will be introduced with the "shimmy."

All that price and troubles Just so that you will be acknowledged, waved and greeted by this particular exclusively arrogant individuals that will only wave to those who have the same pop up headlights ?
While at the same time, there's a lot of other who will not only wave at you, but greet you as another Miata owner or as car guy without any prequisites ?
I can't see the real benefit here, let alone if the benefit outweigh the cost itself. What a logical fallacy at best.
      ------------------------
If you just say that the headlights can be used to show emojis to make content, the argument may have more benefit.
But we can always put emojis with sticker, wrap, and other stuff. Plus it won't last long before people get bored anyway.

I hate driving longer than 2 hours in my NA. Mine in particular has no cruise control which is a pain on its own, but even if I did, I would probably still hate it. The cabin is loud, I get cramps, the stereo sucks. The visibility to other drivers is abysmal. In my 1.6 with the 5MT, the engine turns over at 4k at 70, which doesn’t make for the most relaxing drive, between the noise and the concern about running the motor that high like that for several hours. Needless to say, not an enjoyable experience. But, once the highway ends and the back roads begin: the Miata is a dream and I wouldn’t have it any other way 😊

Sports cars aren't great for road trips to begin with. Less comfort. Camry would probably be the best sedan for it.

For a single person, I think it's a good road trip car. It's small and personable. You'd just need a little luggage trunk rack to expand on space.

Drove 13 hrs from ny to sc for the first time. Everything was fine...Except for the fact an f350 rear-ended me in stop and go traffic.
I don't have the miata anymore.

Everyone goes on and on about how small these cars are, I own a Datsun 120y and it’s actually smaller than a Mazda Miata in length, height and width. I have never come close to being run off the road

As someone who's driven over 140 consecutive miles in an NB miata ... no, don't do it, it's hell. Air con barely blew cold air on an extremely hot day (i was absolutely drenched in sweat by the end of it), super noisy on faster roads had a headache most of the time, and I was crippled by the time it was over due to the posture/position you sit in 😂
