I'm a pharamcist and I'd like to caution you on directly washing your face with a basic solution while having acid on it. It's safer to wash with water first. Water is pH 7 so you are already neutralizing the acid using it. You may wash with a basic solution after if u want to be sure. At least you've already removed most of the acid.
You should try to get the lighting of before and after photos to be very similar. It's tricky, but it's the best way to see the actual results. Especially with the before shots being darker, it's hard to see if the after shots are actual improvements or just lighting change.
Thank you so much for giving us so much information and many warnings about this product. I’ve watch a lot of other youtubers review about this product but they don’t really give as much details/warnings as you do, they just warn how not to leave the product on for over 10 mins, how to use it, and just say that there would be some slight stinging and that’s about it. I’m glad I watched your video to know more about this product and how it could also cause some harm instead of good if not used with caution and use it the right way. I bought this and just received it today, I just tried and left it on for 10 mins but I don’t feel any tingle or stinging feeling like everyone say they would feel when they applied this product so now I’m wondering if it’s actually working for me, maybe it’s cause it’s only my first tried or my skin just not as sensitive.

Hi! I just bought this product + the niacinamide. I do have an oily skin but it is not acne prone. Just those tiny bumps on the forehead. I wanted to try this product but scared that i might get acnes from this. Should i try it. And if yes, after application of this do i need to apply toner and moisturizer after?? Thanks!
Hi there! I am really keen to try out chemical exfoliants to help improve skin texture. I'm currently am deciding between The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution and the AHA BHA peeling solution. What would you recommend me trying out first or what are the main differences between the two? Thank you! For reference, I am 21 years old with combination skin. My current routine is Cleanser, Physical Exfoliator (1-2 times a week), Toner/Essence, Hyaluronic Acid, Gluta-boost serum, and Eye Cream. Thank you!
AHA and BHA are two terms used to group acids - e.g. Lactic and glycolic acids are AHAs. BHAs are oil soluble and generally a little less irritating for sensitive skin, e.g. salicylic acid. The fact that THE ORDINARY AHA BHA contains a blend of both (glycolic, lactic, citric, salicylic, and tartaric acids feature) means that it’s a super powerful solution. That being said it can only be used 1 a week. The glycolic can be used everyday. So it's really up to how often you want to exfoliate.
Hello! I really want to try this peeling solution out but one of my concerns is what cleaners to use with it. It’s also good to say that right now I am creating a skincare regime and I am trying to make it as good as possible! The question I have is can I use a water based cleanser called Aromatica Aloe Hy-ffective cleanser? I don’t remember the ingredients but I was hoping you might take a look at the product and see if it is okay to use before the peel… thank you so much for this video!
Thank you for all information, i have some more quarries, how many days i need to use this. Everyday or every after days. Can you also suggest explorator for hands and lag?

Hi, Please for a bit of guidance here. I was using glycolic acid every other day. Should I stop the use of the glycolic acid being that I have now started to use the peeling solution?
I'm actually scared to try products from The Ordinary because actives scare me. As well as their packaging. Lol. After watching this, still won't buy any from them 😅 I just like watching reviews because its just so satisying to see improvements on people's skin 💗
*All skincare* has "active" ingredients. The great thing about "The Ordinary" brand is they don't lie about the percentage they use and they actually tell you what's in it. Don't be afraid to use them, they're one of the most honest cosmetic companies out there in terms of their products.
I wouldn't be afraid tbh most skincare have actives in them, the ordinary doesn't BS when it comes to percentage of actives and doesn't have fancy packaging
They’re so transparent. If you have your eye on something, TH-cam it. If you don’t know where to stay put something in the site you’re using like Amazon such as The Ordinary for dry skin x
After seeing this video my mind, soul, body and heart said to me : Let's use it 😂 Let's start it! Hoping for best skin. By the way I have oily, clogged, pimple prone, has whiteheads, acne pigmentation and real physical acne scarring skin. I hope it would make it better.🤞💜
Thankyou for suggesting this product....my question is like how long can we use this solution to your skin... like how many months...like after the recover from the peeling and all

I’ll ask around babe… I’m based in Canada and it’s not available here, so I just ask my sister in law from US to buy it from Ulta for me. Maybe u can ask a friend or fam going to US?
Hi! I just bought this today and before putting it on I have 2 important questions.. can I workout the day after using this peel? (Since I'll sweat and everything). Second question.. how many days should I avoid makeup after this peel?
Normal activity may be resumed after the peel, however strenuous exercise and heavy sweating should be avoided for 2-3 days. Make up is fine but always make sure you put sunsreen
People look at me weird because i use an umbrella daily in the summer on sunny or cludy days or my safary 👒 in the fall and spring. This year Im really taking seriously the care for my skin. Im tired of my melasma after a year with topicals and no much improvement.
Can u suggest some suncreen after using this in morning? Also can i used a cerave cleanser before using peeling solution? Also im a very dry and sensitive skin..i just want to clear out my very issue which is the nose side the blackheads and the chin blackheads.
For Sunscreen I like the La Roche Posay -ANTHELIOS MINERAL TINTED ULTRA FLUID SPF 50 FACIAL SUNSCREEN. You can use the Cerave cleanser for sensitive skin. You can just spot treat if you like and apply the AHA BHA mask on problematic areas. Always patch test first! Hope I aswer your questions well😊
PLEASE WATCH 9:38 Also you have to choose if you want to do it in the morning or during the night. Do not use twice in a day. If you decide to use it during the day make sure you use sunscreen :)
I personally wouldn’t use Niacinamide after even if the mask is washed off. I would keep my routine very simple tone & moisturize that’s it. The AHA peel already does a lot of things on your skin. Use the niacinamide maybe a day or two after
Its been 1 month of using the ordinary peeling solution ... I already have oily skin but after using it feel like my skin now producing more oil. Is it ture ? Does the ordinary peeling solution cause more oil production?
Hiya ! Make sure you're only using once a week. And you neeeeeeed to hydrate your skin with Hyaluronic acid and, use Niacinamide to reduce the production of oil. After go over with a heavy/light moisturiser and wear spf as soon as you get up in the morning. Literally don't use any other exfoliators for that week. Use corsx everyday morning low pH cleanser to clean your skin or the inkey lists salicylic acid cleaner. Don't over cleanse and make sure you HYDRATE the skin, and not just moisturiser.
I wish I had watched this before using this evening. I didn't feel any burning really but I also only had it on for 4-5 minutes. Then I rinsed my face and applied hyaluronic acid to damp skin and then moisturizer. Hopefully I didn't do any damage 😅. I don't use aha or bhas often..like almost never.. but use a retinol every night. I didn't feel like using it tonight and decided to use this peel instead. I also only patch tested on my neck RIGHT before using it lol. Dang it.
Found this on the web “After two to six weeks of using tretinoin, it's usually okay to start using an exfoliant. However, it's best to use exfoliating products as sparingly as possible while using tretinoin to avoid potentially irritating your skin” I just use gentle moisturizer after the aha bha peel just to make sure I dont get reactions to it.
@@AnaeDulceRbd yes the tret worked for me and I have no acne. Just a random pimple at least once a month due to my period. Together with the aha bha and sunscreen, the texture of my skin has lessen significantly. However, the tret I used is prescribed by my derma :))

Might be a silly question- but what counts as irritation after patch test? I would expect redness since it’s an acidic product.. am I looking for rashes/hives, etc? Thank you for such informative information! 💕

Hi!! I know this video is a year old but hopefully someone can help me because I’m new to skin care!
Hope I aswer your questions well😊
Can this be used on the neck as well??
I have seen Cassandra bankson use it all over her body. She is a medical esthetician
Im currently using retinol can I use the peeling serum when I'm not using retinol?
I found this www.victoriandermalgroup.com.au/information-centre/how-to-use-ahas-bhas-and-retinol-in-your-daily-skincare-routine
Am i gonna use this night and day or just day or just night? And how many days in a week should i use this
PLEASE WATCH 9:38 Also you have to choose if you want to do it in the morning or during the night. Do not use twice in a day. If you decide to use it during the day make sure you use sunscreen :)
after how many days we can use any night cream.after using it?
After 2 days for good measure
Great review. Thank you.
Awww thank you!!!
Heyy.. I want to know after how many days of peeling I can do facial?
I’m not to sure what you mean. Did you want to know if you could do a facial at a clinic after using this peel?
@@CharisseDaily yea. I want to do a parlor facial. So after using using this peeling solution how many days should I wait?
@@aishsha5380 Maybe two weeks but also tell your esthetician that you have used aha bha peel 2wks before your facial so she can be aware.😊
@@CharisseDaily thank you☺️❤️
Hi! I have a question, I’ve been told that after you apply this. You shouldn’t apply any serums? Any tips on that maybe thanks :)
which serum are you thinking of using? Any hydrating serums would do
@@CharisseDaily I was going to use the ordinary niacinamide but some people say that’s not a good idea
I personally wouldn’t use Niacinamide after even if the mask is washed off. I would keep my routine very simple tone & moisturize that’s it. The AHA peel already does a lot of things on your skin. Use the niacinamide maybe a day or two after
@@CharisseDaily Thanks so much you don’t know how much this helped 😭❤️
Awww I’m so happy I could help😊
Can i use this product on under arms remove the darkness?
I would definitely not try that
Yes you can use
Y el link de la botella azul??
Its been 1 month of using the ordinary peeling solution ... I already have oily skin but after using it feel like my skin now producing more oil. Is it ture ? Does the ordinary peeling solution cause more oil production?
hmmm… I didn’t experience that…
@@leviackerman5870 thank you for this :)
Please don’t consider using coconut oil guys as she said!!! it’s not meant for facial skin at all
Is it still ok to apply on azelaic acid while using this peeling solution?
you cannot use any acid while using the peeling
Hey. I have dry skin type and it's sensitive too. Do you suggest to use this??
No. I wouldn’t recommend it to sensitive skin
Thank you for the great video
thank you so much for appreciating my content 🥰🥰🥰
I wish I had watched this before using this evening. I didn't feel any burning really but I also only had it on for 4-5 minutes. Then I rinsed my face and applied hyaluronic acid to damp skin and then moisturizer. Hopefully I didn't do any damage 😅. I don't use aha or bhas often..like almost never.. but use a retinol every night. I didn't feel like using it tonight and decided to use this peel instead. I also only patch tested on my neck RIGHT before using it lol. Dang it.
hope ur ok… stay away from the sun.
@@CharisseDaily I'm ok! No adverse effects and I wear sunscreen daily!
Does this cures open pores and acne scars ??
Unfortunately it doesn’t.
Ok I see everyone saying it may feel tingling or burning , but I didn’t feel anything in 10 minutes , not for a second , is everything ok with me ? 😕
yes that’s fine😊
Is this good for melasma? I don’t have acne…
No but their Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA has been proven to reduce pigmentation, it can take a long time for results to become visible, so patience is key🙂
Hello! I have a question. I used this peel last night and so far so good. Is it safe for me to apply tretinoin tonight?
Found this on the web “After two to six weeks of using tretinoin, it's usually okay to start using an exfoliant. However, it's best to use exfoliating products as sparingly as possible while using tretinoin to avoid potentially irritating your skin”
I just use gentle moisturizer after the aha bha peel just to make sure I dont get reactions to it.
Hey, does the tretinoin worked for u? Ur acne is gone? What’s the brand u tried?
@@AnaeDulceRbd yes the tret worked for me and I have no acne. Just a random pimple at least once a month due to my period. Together with the aha bha and sunscreen, the texture of my skin has lessen significantly. However, the tret I used is prescribed by my derma :))
can I use this for underarms and bikini area
The best video!
omg you made my day! Thank you🥰🥰🥰
@@CharisseDaily I'm a fan of the ordinary... and I've been starting to make some research about this peeling solution. And this video is just everything I needed. Thank you Ms. Charisse 😊❤
@@lynettechua3031 you are very welcome! I’m glad I could help😘😘😘
I bought mine and if I run to my face it doesnt remain as red as shown in your video. It starts to be like bubbly.
make sure your skin is really dry before applying. If it’s wet it will be milky & bubbly
Hey, can i use this as a 14 year old or should i wait till i am older? Should i use this kind of acid at all on my skin?
Wait until you are 20 and above.
Is this good for removing dry skin
it’s a good exfoliant although u really have to moisturize after
Very informative ❤
Can I use this twice a week while still doing Differen gel??
Differin gel should not be used in conjunction with products containing alpha hydroxy, salicylic or glycolic acids.
@@CharisseDaily thank you. So do it on separate days? Or not at all?
@@jasmineb.3122 I would use aha bha as like a maintenance after I've achieved what I need from differin. They both strong actives so I would be very cautious.
@@CharisseDaily thank you!
@@jasmineb.3122 thank you for appreciating my content babe🥰
So is your skin peeling after you use it in one day?
no it didn’t make me peel
How many times a week or month can I use this?
9:38
Can I use it with active acne
No
Might be a silly question- but what counts as irritation after patch test? I would expect redness since it’s an acidic product.. am I looking for rashes/hives, etc? Thank you for such informative information! 💕
Not a silly question at all. It could be acid burn, redness that would not go away after a few hours… things like that😊thanks for watching my content❤️
Hi!! I know this video is a year old but hopefully someone can help me because I’m new to skin care! I just got this because it was recommended to me and I got a new face cream with sunscreen, hyaluronic acid & peptide complex for hydration (it’s by elf). Can I use this after the peeling solution? I also have another product by the ordinary, niacinamide + zinc… I just don’t want to hurt my face 🤣
The face cream with sunscreen, hyaluronic acid & peptide complex will be okay after. But I will have to hold off with the niacinamide and use it after 2 days maybe...
Oh and always patch test first
@@CharisseDaily thank you!!!
Hi, I wanted to ask, is it good if I combine it with Niacinamide?? 'cause I bought those 2 but not quite sure if it's a good combination. . Thank you. .
I would suggest having a very simple routine when using this you can use the niacinamide on other days.
Thanks for this!
im so glad I can help😘
@@CharisseDaily i have a question though, before putting it on my face, would you recommend if i use Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser? Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
Aprielle you can as long as there’s no extra acids on the cleanser
How do you often use it ?
9:38
Just bought this haven’t used it yet though
hope the video helps😊
hii i was wondering. I have an acne treatment recommended by my doctor. but can i use both? because i think that would just over exfoliate my skin. do you have any tips?
