I discovered your video yesterday. You may have saved my life (I don't usually use such emotional language) I now feel less worried about an interview I'm planning to do.
Thank you!! I normally use Zencaster for podcast interviews, but my interviewee was having troubles with her computer so we used zoom last minute. This was so easy and thank you for showing it!
Thank You this helped a lot. I do zoom interviews with families of murder victims. I’m planning to remix them into podcasts. This helps so much!! I can’t wait to get to work.
Thank you! I use Zoom for recording podcast interviews and use audio only on my podcast, The Good Mom podcast. I also use Zoom for coaching sessions and send the video recordings to my cllients. This video was super helpful!
Great video!!! I’m Using zoom now for an audio podcast, where I was using Discord and having a Bot record audio and then downloading those files to audacity. Now I’m having issues with the bot and Discord itself when trying to record. Zoom is definitely the way to go now for me after watching this video. Thanks!
In answer to your questions, I am using Zoom for client sessions. I am wanting to use the audio for reels on IG so needed to work out how to do this. This has been a great help on how to convert the audio and then create clips.
Hi, silly question, but how do you upload the file to cloudconvert? I see at 3:45 that you say you're about to upload the file and then it's just uploaded? I don't know how you exactly did that. I tried to upload it with the link from zoom but it said my url is unauthenticated. so I'm stuck. heeeeelp!
Great question Adrian! I prefer to separate everything - even if it results in MULTIPLE tracks - because it's easier to edit out mistakes or mute audio if needed.
Great Question! Here's a video of my 3 favorite software to record my podcast: "Best Podcast Interview Platforms, My Top 3 Services": th-cam.com/video/ld2AKDeZJPo/w-d-xo.html
What is the best platform to charge from my audio course? Not monetizing with adverts but just charging for the content? I need simple and straightforward. Thanks and love your videos - so helpful
Hey Chana! There are many course platforms you can try that vary in sophistication and what you can achieve. I'd recommend checking out Kajabi (krystalproffitt.com/kajabi - That's an affiliate link!) or Teachable.
I’m doing audio podcast should I use something different than zoom? Also is zoom not free, when I recorded for 30 minutes it asked me to upgrade and pay?
Yes, I’d recommend an audio software like Audacity (PC/MAC) or GarageBand (MAC) to record your podcasts. And I’m not sure with Zoom plans these days. I’m sure they’ve changed quite a bit over the last few years.
I am familiar how to get audio from zoom to audacity...but for interview I read to do separate for each participant...so that you can edit each person speaking...can not figure out how to get separate files in audacity. help
Hey Jaimee, You’d need to separate the files when recording in zoom first. There’s a setting inside “Recording” in zoom where you can separate each audio recording. You won’t be able to separate them within Audacity. I hope that helps! 🌟
Hi Krystal, excellent information. I use Zoom for my podcast. My question is, is there any way to download the audio from zoom onto separate tracks in audacity. In other words, a separate track for the host and a separate track for the guest instead of one single track with both guest and host on the same track. I look forward to hearing your response.
Great question AND inspiration for an upcoming video! But yes, you can absolutely change the settings in Zoom so that when you export the audio it's more than ONE track. 😉
I've heard recommended to record your own audio directly in Audacity - and your guests in Zoom. But when doing so, how do you sync the tracks up? It seems that it would be hard to get them to be at the same point in time.
Great question, Scott! You can absolutely record your own audio while also recording in Zoom -- it's like a "backup file". Then, when you export the guest's audio from Zoom and import it into Audacity, you'll want to trim off your audio on the front and the back to make the tracks align. I recommend watching these video that explains a little more about how I've used Audacity. In answer to your question: I am using Zoom for client calls, coaching calls, and for recording podcast interviews for both video and audio publishing.
I use Zoom often to record my podcasts because of its easy access to guests who are remotely located. All other apps end up being incompatible with their computers or setups.
Thank you!! Using this to record interview podcasts. Thanks so much for this video... it's exactly what I needed!!
Awesome! I’m glad it was helpful! 🙌🏻🌟

Thank you so much for this!! Just started my podcast and editing is something new 😬
You got this! Don’t overthink it or believe you HAVE to edit every little thing out. 🌟
This was such an incredible help to me! As a student of journalism during Covid, I use Zoom for the majority of my interviews. Thank you so so much!
Glad it was helpful, Grace! 🌟

I am new to podcasting with the plan to use Zoom to record myself and remote guest and then edit and mix in Audacity

Do you use separate tracks for both parties when editing your podcasts or just use one single track?
Great question Adrian! I prefer to separate everything - even if it results in MULTIPLE tracks - because it's easier to edit out mistakes or mute audio if needed.
What other software is available for recording podcasts? What would you recommend?
Great Question! Here's a video of my 3 favorite software to record my podcast: "Best Podcast Interview Platforms, My Top 3 Services": th-cam.com/video/ld2AKDeZJPo/w-d-xo.html
This was super helpful thank you. This was just my issue. I just wanted to know the difference between a WAV and an MP3
Glad it helped, Linnea!

what if you only downloaded to local computer and not icloud
You could definitely download straight to your computer.
I use Audacity. I've never done a zoom interview, but I need to. I just don't know how to actually use my equipment and have the guests audio come through in good quality.
As long as you get the equipment setup properly BEFORE you start recording, you should be good to go! 😉
I use Zoom just to capture the audio but with a visual connection to my guest so that I can coach them on their voiceover.
Awesome! I hope this video was helpful for how you use Zoom. 🌟
In answer to your question: I am using Zoom for client calls, coaching calls, and for recording podcast interviews for both video and audio publishing.
Thanks for sharing, Mike!
I use Zoom often to record my podcasts because of its easy access to guests who are remotely located. All other apps end up being incompatible with their computers or setups.
That is very common. Plus, most people feel comfortable using Zoom so it's a great option if that's what your guests already know.
I use anchor
Thanks for sharing, Char!
i use zoom for all the above
Thanks for sharing your experience! 🌟
Using Zoom just for podcasting and meetings
Thanks for sharing, Lisa!
Super helpful, thank you.
