I felt your happiness when it turned off lol. This shop told me starting at 900 to replace it and posisbly the wheel bearing because they said it’s inside it. I laughed and got the sort mylsef. I’ve been working on my own cars for theboassed few years and that’s why lol. I figured I’d just have soemoen else do it because I needed to get ready for my New York City trip and I was reminded why I work on my own cars very fast lol. Nice job thanks for the video
Great video and I have same issue. No garage seems to want to sort mine so I'm gonna try it myself. I hope I have the same excitement as you when I fix mine. Thanks your a Star
I've just replaced my left rear wheel speed sensor and now my car won't start. Tried to jump start it and no joy! Everything comes on but it's trying to turn over and start. Weird as it's been on my drive parked up for over a week or so and I have driven it round the block. Very confusing. Any ideas what's causing it all of a sudden?
I was driving home today and my abs light came on, traction control and my speedometer stopped working while the lights were on. They like flashed on and off. Would this be signs of a sensor going out or elsewhere in the wiring? I checked the fuses and they were fine. I also drive a 2014 patriot sport model
just a question i got the same problem gonna change the sensor buy did your 4x4 light every come on because the abs sensor? this is my only code for abs my my engine code is intake manifold stuck on that wouldnt turn the light on so i think its on because the abs please let me know :P i just got it my second car just fixing it up abit now :P
Mine is a Sport model. So it does not have 4x4. I have had my intake manifold get stuck in the past and was able to get unstuck with seafoam through the intake. The code for that was intake runner. Direct injection engines commonly have this problem.
So I had to do the very same thing, and I found this video to guide me. Figured it looked easy enough. So I started.. I quickly realized that you have the FWD model lmao.. on the AWD model the cv axel is hardcore in the way. You have to remove the wheel bearing in order to access the physical sensor.. it’s gonna be a bitch.
@@jaxacdc9554 what is the pet called that the sensor connects too? I got both right and left rear tires off, checked the abs sensor and it wasn’t connected to anything.. I’m not very good with part names but it seems there isn’t a bracket for the sensor to clip into
Depends, my local advanced auto ask for you license, they keep it until you return it. But I have my own code reader now. Bought a nice Autel that cost me $450
So let me get this straight. The 10mm bolt is the one in the center? I don't have to take out the 10.9 numbered bolts around that disk thing.? You really don't show enough of the removal procedure. The garage is charging $400+ including labour, in Canada, to replace what they call the "control hub". They say they can't replace just the sensor. Seems like they're lying.
Well, the language is not needed. Why would I even work on the front ones if there is nothing wrong with them? Your question does not even make sense. Really, your answer is not needed.

Good to see you fixed that.
Yes. It make such a difference. Was really easy to fix it.
Love you man! eased my mind. This was the exact video I was looking for. Thanks!
Thanks a lot 🙏 Your video has helped me a lot🎉🎉🎉
Great job bud, I have a 08 Patriot myself.
Thank you very much and thank you for subscribing
Good job buddy 😊
Would this make the 4-wheel light to flash also
Did you manage to sort ?

Having the same problem. Did you notice any small jerking in the rear when hitting bumps? Hoping the new sensor sorts it out.
I felt like the transmission was slipping and loss of traction. The scan pinpointed the issue.
@@jaxacdc9554 excellent. Same issue I'm having minus the transmission issue. Thank you very much 👍
@@jaxacdc9554 same, transmission will feel like it doesn’t shift and the brakes will do something funky sometimes- like knocking against your foot.
Gonna try this today 🤞
Thanks… that helps!😎👍🏼
What just the traction light on and it’s only allowing me to go a certain speed?
No it was multiple error lites. Time stamp 0:36. It did not go into a limp mode so no speed reduction.
Hey Jamelle. Did you figure out your issue? I have a traction light on and limited speed as well. Thanks for your help.
I was driving home today and my abs light came on, traction control and my speedometer stopped working while the lights were on. They like flashed on and off. Would this be signs of a sensor going out or elsewhere in the wiring? I checked the fuses and they were fine. I also drive a 2014 patriot sport model
I would use code reader to see if there is any error codes.

Did the transmission come on too sometimes?
No it did not.
Did issue ever come back?
No. It is working great. It was exactly the fix it needed. Thanks for watching.
Did you disconnect the battery?
No. I just unplugged it and plugged the new one in. Code cleared by it self.

Did you have to take the tire off?
Yes
I’m going to try this on my mums jeep
which front or rear? how u know ?
I used a OB2 scanner borrowed from parts store. It read the location of the bad sensor. 1:20
Would this be similar to a 2007 Patriot?
Yes

@@zark674 it bolts to the wheel hub
I have a 2010 patriot do and this same thing is happening I can follow these steps too rihht
Right*
Yes, I believe so as long as yours is a sport model 4 ×2. I looked up the part and cross compared the years and it was the same part number.
Guess what? COVID!! Now Advance Auto doesn't lend the OBD ABS scanner no more😑
Dang! That is very unfortunate.

You were so lucky it was not the bearing
Yes I was. That would of been alot more work.
thanks, got one to do myself, dealer #150.00
$150 for the Hub Assembly?

Just the 10mm in the center that is holding the sensor 4:13
What about the front ones ...WHAT ABOUT THE FUCKING FRONT ONES !!!!
